Persimmon Nails

Bad service. My pedicure was done in 15 minutes The lady that did my nails was so in a hurry that I waited 30 minutes for my sisters who started the same time with me. I will never come back here again.

Walked in, was asked what we needed to have done and then told it would be a 5 to 10 minute wait. That was a lie. There were 5 nail techs working and 8 customers in the shop when we walked in.
The guy up front says to me «All of those customers are almost done.»
We signed in at 3:15. Btw– there were 4 of us. At 3:25 one of the techs gets started on a full set for my daughter. Great. At 3:45 the rest of us are still sitting and waiting. When I asked the guy at 3:45 how much longer it would be he tells me 45 minutes.
Let’s do some math. 3:15 sign in.
We’re told a 5 – 10 min. wait.
3:25 only one out of 4 of us receives service.
At 3:45 I get told it would be 45 more minutes wait time.
That’s a 75 minute wait time.
Fools can’t do math.
Eff this place. I only went to this place because my friend said wanted to go there.
I knew we should have went to Pink Nails. At least they don’t lie.
To the owner: hire people to work at the front desk like nicer nail shops do!!!

This place was packed for NYE. We came in just to get eyebrows waxed. Waited only 5 minutes and it took 5 minutes each and we were out in 15! Very efficient and friendly service. Eye brow waxing only costs $ 13, pretty good deal!

I use to love this place, but lately it seems to be going down hill. Poor quality of service and the place needs a really good cleaning. Not going back anytime soon.

Tiffany and Joanne did me and my sis in laws manis + pedis. The experience was okay however, not only did they talk trash about us and complain (not in english), then my girl complained with attitude about not being able to do simple art on my toe (just white lines and a yellow dot. See picture. This art was done at the shop.) …My sis showed her nail tech the art she wanted, but the tech didn’t even say she couldn’t do it — she just did her own art that didn’t even look similar. It looked cute. But the point is: Customer Service. Key word: lacking. I tipped because they were respectful and a little personable in English. But… Please be aware, this is Vegas, and alot of people are biracial. You don’t know if we are Viet/​Thai/​Chinese mixed… So just don’t talk trash in another language.

I had a very awful experience.
The man who was assigned to do my nails was talking out of his back end. He told me that you can’t get 3D nail art on top of gel, but that is what I had on already from another place.
I am not sure how this man got a job in doing nails because he created a lumpy mess that was not only on the nail, but on my skin. A third grader could have done a better job than he did. Besides lazy and uneducated he was rushing and proceed to dig at my nails with his tools and cut me in several places trying to correct this mess he created.
Writing this review is extremely painful for me at the moment but I am so heated with how I was treated. I wish I got his name so I can warn you better of my experience.
After cutting me I needed to step outside due to an anxiety attack that he gave me. He cut me so bad it was throbbing and still is. This is not going to feel good tomorrow. At the end of my «girls day out» I was so embarrassed I had them remove the gel and just wanted to leave. They didn’t even do that well… I still have gel **** all over my fingers. And when I say fingers I mean it, it is on the skin and nail still. I felt terrible because the two other people I was with were in bad moods after because they felt sorry for the service I received.
Be warned people I would never wish such a horrible event to happen to you.

I went in here a month back on a whim because I had some time to kill while my kids had their soccer party. I’ve been back twice now for the same thing: Gel and fills and each time was quoted same price of $ 30.00. I love that they have an extensive collection of Gel colors to choose from. Especially the Gel pattern designs! I get nothing but compliments on my nails and am willing to go clear across town to have them done.

I got a gel mani about two and a half weeks ago here and it was a good experience.
Pros:
It was fast. They were surprisingly busy first thing in the morning, but I was seated quickly and in and out very efficiently.
They did a VERY good job. My cuticles are very neat and my polish is /​perfect/​.
The staff was very polite.
The shop was clean.
It’s been two and a half weeks and my polish hasn’t chipped or cracked or peeled even a LITTLE bit.
Good selection of gel colors that are ACTUALLY colors you’d want your nails done in.
Cons:
My tech was a TINY bit short with me when she did actually speak… BUT. I will say that it seemed a more like she was used to bitchy customers and was just being defensive and over-​explaining so I had ZERO excuse to bitch or complain than anything.

I left out an important piece of info that warrants me adding another star to this review:
We were a large group of 7. We arrived around 10 asking if we came back in a hour (after we ate breakfast) if they could accommodate us. They said yes and wrote down the appointment. Still, I was skeptical. They proved me wrong. When we arrive a little over a hour later, they honored our reservation. We were all seated immediately. And they had a packed house. People were waiting.
Good customer service is a reoccuring theme with me and this place got it right. For that reason alone I recommend it.

WOOHOO! AS GOOD AS NAIL SALON IN VEGAS GETS
This is a must visit nail salon in Vegas! It makes the nail salons on the strip look like a 3 stars. Persimmon Nail is very well décor with marvelous staff (be sure to ask for Kathryn or Michael) and SUPER CLEAN. It has 10 pedi stations, 14 mani stations, and the private facial room. They use LED lights and not the UV lights. The exhaust system is great unlike the other nail salons where they use a cheapy exhaust system.
The price is very reasonable. They will accommodate your schedule and willing to go the extra miles to put a smile on your face to make sure you are happy with their services.
I challenge anyone to visit them and not give them anything less than a «FIVE STARS» for their price, service and most importantly their positive ATTITUDE. My neighbors are driving to Persimmon nail in NORTH DURANGO and not the other nail salons in Vegas.

My sister and Mom went here and got their nails done before the Mariah Carey concert and they only had good things to say about this place.
They got crazy cool nails. As a guy I’m not sure how else to describe them haha. They’re definitely coming back!

Great nail salon! This was my first time here with my girlfriends.
So when we walked in they seated the four of us right away. We all got mani and pedis. My nail tech was super friendly and really accommodating. They had a great selection of gel colors to chose from and I got multi colors with glitter for the summer season. I felt like they really took their time and didn’t rush through my appointment.
We all really liked it and definitely will all come back.

I’m so done with this place.
Every single time I have been, and I mean every single time, I get a completely different price. And I’ve been coming here for 2 years on and off.
I understand that for almond shape with gel nail polish and a full set is 43 $ and that’s fine. So when I go in for a fill 2 weeks later and I want gel nail polish again and Tommy tells me it will only be 21 $ I’m happy. No big deal. So another 2 weeks rolls by and I get another fill with gel nail polish and its 43 $??? How does that make any sense.
And then when you call the store to let them know what happened the lady is telling you that you’re lying that no one there will charge 21 $ for a fill and yelling at you. Horrible customer service.

I’ve been coming to this salon for a while now and I find them to be very lazy, they don’t like when you don’t like your nails or color, I just received a pedicure here and the owner did not like that I wanted a color change before the guy doing my nails started a second coat. Every time I come here I find everyone here to be miserable and hate their job, beside the one women in front I believe her name is Kathy she is the only pleasant one here. I definitely won’t be coming back I will stick with polished, they’re customer service is much better and have many more gel colors to choose from.

Joanne did my mani/​pedi today. I walked in needing a pick-​me-​up and after a hard and emotional day, she delivered. My nails are now clean and manicured, and perfectly pink. It’s around the corner from my house, and I’ll definitely be going back.

March 18, 2015 — I wasn’t able to get my nails done before I left on vacation. So I opted on this place after I had brunch. I wish I hadn’t. I felt the nail technician was rushing through my pedicure and my manicure. Usually when I get my pedicures back at home, they take time massaging me and making sure I’m as comfortable as possible. However, here she spent a total of three minutes on both legs. As for my manicure, she did a decent job. However, there were some inconsistencies. The acrylic in my opinion is too thick for my liking and I had globs of acrylic under my nails, which I had to pick at to remove. I won’t be returning to this salon whenever I’m back in Vegas.

So through recommendations of a friend, I went to red persimmon nails and requested for Kathy. I drove all the way from the southwest side of town to here!
It was totally worth it. The salon has a really friendly staff and it is very clean there. Kathy is very personable and shes very attentive and fast! I got a gel mani and I really love it. Usually after a mani, the lotions that salons use always make my hands itchy and that didn’t happen at all here.
I arrived for my appointment at noon. Kathy was already working on someone but I didn’t wait very long, maybe 5 minutes and she went to help me. I got my mani less than the time it took me to drive down there! It was great, I wasn’t spending an hour in the salon. It was probably about 20 minutes and I was done. and now I got pretty new shiny nails yay!

Love this place! Greeted before I could open the door all the way and I brought a guy with me to get a pedicure ($ 28) and they were so polite to him. I just wanted to change my nail color and get them shortened ($ 13). The gentleman who assisted me was very patient with my constant checking of my phone and the fact that I couldn’t decide on a color. Its such a beautiful shop, too. With individual sinks on either side of the room, more than enough manicure and pedicure stations, and an open, sunny location, I will definitely be coming back. I wish I could give more stars!

What a nightmare. Went in to get a full set put on. The tech was very rough and I was so sore. The next day noticed that my nails were crooked, uneven, had bubbles in them, and I could see my real nail from the side.
The nails were too small and were bruising the nail underneath.
Went back in and showed them what was wrong, and the tech asked me «what did I do wrong?» Really? YOURE THE PROFESSIONAL– you tell me!
Had a new set put on and was treated so poorly. Guess they were mad they weren’t making any money off of me. I have glue and other debris on my fingers. I asked the tech to take it off and she said to do it at home. And THEN as I’m inspecting my nails she says «I need the chair» and says to get up.
I am completely appalled at how I’ve been treated. Overpriced and horribly rude people.
