Would be a 5 star experience… except the wait was loooong and it was a chilly old evening… so by the time the experience started I was frozen.
However, skimming over the heads of drunken revellers on a zip wire at 35mph was great fun and a suitably Las Vegas style unusual experience.
Shorter wait, warmer night and it would have been 5 stars

Waiting over an hour waiting because they don’t have anybody working to go get the gear for us everybody is fed up. Gotta feel bad for the staff buy when they cut staff to make profits this place is doomed to fail and they said no refunds think twice

Way understaffed. Even the staff says that they are you wait a long time to get situated. I feel bad for the staff here. Only one person running the harnesses from the end point with this many on a weekend. :(

Freaking Disneyland wait… What a waste of time so far. If you reserve a time, EXPECT it to take 1 – 2 hrs longer than that. Get ready to stand…

Who doesn’t want to zip line over Freemont Street?
We arrived on Freemont about 5 pm on a Saturday and were able to purchase our zoom line (the high line) tickets for 8:20 pm boarding time. There is a weight restriction, 100 lbs min and i think 300 lbs max. This is important and will be more evident why later in my review.
I am only giving 4 stars instead of 5 because it wasn’t until after we purchased that they told us that is just your time to line up, not your «fly time». We were warned that you could wait a couple hours to get your ride. So Unilocalers, be forewarned you may (and probably will) wait for at least an hour past your boarding time.
After you purchase you are given a wristband to put on (that must be worn) to be scanned when you get in line to board. No refunds, not transferable, so you go or you lose your money.
We got in line for our 8:20 time and it was about 100 people deep, still waiting to board for their 8pm time slot. We waited and we waited and we waited, then we waited some more. Over an hour after our designated boarding time we were let upstairs to wait in line again.
Once you get to the top of the stairs you are weighed and your wristband scanned, then you wait in another line. We waited and we waited and we waited. After more waiting you get harnessed up with the gear needed for the ride, then you wait some more. the employees were very efficient in outfitting everyone with the gear and made me feel very safe. Then we waited some more.
Finally, over an hour after our boarding time, it was our time to ride up in the elevator to the top to get our zip line ride. Then, imagine that, more waiting and waiting and waiting (it was 10 pm before our ride, scheduled time of 8:20 pm), but at least you could see the others taking their ride before you. Once you get to the front of the line you are given a bag to put your lose items into and its strapped to the gear to ride down with you. These big inflatable tables rise up so the workers can strap you onto the zip line for your ride. Once all riders are secure comes the fun, the door opens and reveals Freemont street down below and you are on your way to the end.
Listen to the workers when they tell you to push off to go faster. This is important for the lighter folks because you can (and probably will) get stuck! If you are too light and don’t push off you will not make it to the end of the zip line and you have to hang there until someone comes to rescue you. My counterpart didn’t make it (she is about 125 lbs). I highly recommend you weigh more than the min 100 lbs to do the high zip line. It was pretty funny to see her stuck out there, but that is part of the reason why we had to wait so long for our ride… too many people were getting stuck.
Once you get off you are taken aside to have photos taken, we didn’t wait to look at them. Then you take off your suit and are free to go about your day/​night.
Overall, the ride was super fun, the concept is great, but my god the waiting is horrible. Be patient and know you will probably wait awhile. Make sure you use the bathroom before getting in line.
I will absolutely visit Slotzilla again, but now I am informed and wont’ be annoyed waiting so long.

So much fun, a must try for anyone coming to Freemont! !!! I hate coasters or anything scary, but this was not scary because it doesn’t go fast or have a scary coaster drop. It let’s you go above the whole whole Freemont street so cool! It was $ 25 for a short ride & $ 45 for the full zip all the way down Freemont. They give you a bag to put your stuff in & they attach it to your back. You do absolutely nothing but enjoy. All ages can enjoy this, young & older.

I’m afraid of heights so giving it a 5 star says it all.

Awesome experience

This was alot of fun. The staff is courteous and professional. The prices are reasonable. Either take the short ride sitting or the long ride laying on your stomach. Maybe when you first have to slide down, before they release you it’s a bit of a shock but once they let you zip down you will love it. I bought the pictures and the GoPro video. Good times.

Zipping over Freemont offers an element of freedom.
Would definitely do this again when the weather warms up and make it a ritual when family & friends come into town for a visit. Make note, I will ‘convince’ the ones with a fear of height that this will make you feel as if you are Superman or Superwoman!
If you plan on going when it’s below 45 degrees as I did, be prepared won a hat & gloves. I was not, as one can see from the clash of colors of my hat and coat (rolling my eyes). Luckily my counterpart was prepared and their hat became mine;)
One ‘downfall’ was the wait prior being suited up AND perhaps the length of the zip line could be lengthier:)
Will be trying the zip lining at Rio soon (they offer a local’s discount). Hey Slot Zilla how about a discount for locals?

Did this on 7÷4÷15. Brought the tickets online prior to leaving NYC. You take an elevator to the floor and then get on line. I did the one where you are sitting not lying down. I was petrified and almost backed out a million times, but then I saw kids on the line and thought wth these little kids are doing it i cant chicken out lol.
Anyhow, when you get to the top you are strapped and harnessed in. They open up a gate type thing and you see the entire fremont street.
Is it scary: yes!
Is it worth it: yes!
Just do it its alot of fun! And its very fast so youll blink and miss it

I am not very comfortable with heights. I looked up at SlotZilla and my legs were weak. My friends all forced me to do the Zoomline as it was my bachelor’s party and it was the wrap up of the trip. After walking up the stairs, got the initial gear on and then was directed to the elevator, I kept thinking, why did I let them talk me into this?
The wait to finally get strapped in was long as well, even though there were only two people ahead of me. It built up the drama and expectation. When I was finally strapped on and the operator said ready to go… the door half opened. I was ready to GO! The door close and we waited some more.
About another minute passed and finally this time was for real. I pushed off and my fear of heights did not hit me at all. I actually looked down and around the entire time and felt nothing but a nice thrill. The line could be faster though. I did push off, but I guess I didn’t apply enough force. So for those who also have acrophobia, this is really not much of a challenge. And you should give this a try.

If you want an adventure above the street scene of Fremont, check out ziplining! This was a fun experience… soaring under the lighted canopy on old LV with music in the background. Deduction of one star as zoom line was sold out and we had to do zipline!

This was AWESOME! Sure it’s a little expensive to superman all the way down Fremont street but it is totally worth every penny. The experience is amazing! And the staff will tell you that you can go faster by pushing off. Do it.

I did both zip lines and I will whole-​heartedly say to go ahead and do the higher, superman-​style zip line. It goes faster, it’s longer, higher and overall, just more fun. My friend and I went early afternoon on a weekday in June and there was no wait at all. I would’ve preferred to go at night but it just didn’t fit with our schedule. But again, NO LINES, so it worked out well.
The automated machines to buy your tickets were awesome. Just walk up, pick a time, pay with a credit card, get your wristbands, then walk up to the stair case once your reservation time is shown. Super easy!
The only reason for 4 stars is that it’s pricey (but did you expect otherwise?) for what it is. And they’ll get you on buying photos, too. But it’s a once in a lifetime thing, so do it, live it and get the photos :)
Side note: I love Fremont but don’t think just because you come in the daytime that it’s PG. Leave your kiddies at home if naked randoms bother you!

Faster than a speeding bullet, it’s… Super Jenn! I went Superman style the entire way. It was so fun! We had reservations for 11:00 pm on Friday evening. Fremont street was jumping and the neon was sparkling. We arrived at 10:40, received our wristbands and were on the elevator at 10:50. Everything went so smoothly and all of the employees were great. I was a bit worried about what to do with my purse but everyone has to take a zippered bag down with them and my purse easily fit inside of it.
I’m kind of an adrenaline junky and I have no fear of heights. Even I got a little jittery when being strapped in at the top. As you stand on the platform waiting to go, you are nearly eye level with the stratosphere. They strapped me up, the door opened, the countdown began and zoom!!! Away I went. I was laughing the entire way down. The top line is the best, as you fly down the entire length of Fremont Street.
It was, so fun. I absolutely recommend it to anyone. Take the SDX from the strip to downtown. It drops you off and picks you up at the Casino Center stop right next to Binions. It’s faster than the Duece. It was the perfect way to begin or end a great trip to Vegas.

I am a HUGE fan of Downtown Las Vegas & the Fremont Street Experience. Each time I visit Las Vegas/​Downtown I look forward to seeing what is new on Fremont Street. In 2012 I rode the zipline (hanging from a cable above in the seated position) at the Flightlinez which has since been closed and replaced with the Slotzilla.
The Slotzilla platform is located at the end of Fremont. It looks like a giant slot machine so you visually cannot miss it. If you are still having trouble finding this spot look to the above you at the people flying down Fremont and follow the line back to the source.
The difference between the Zipline & Zoomline are massive. The zipline is on a lower of the Slotzilla tower/​platform and only travels half the distance of Fremont where the Zoomline is on an upper level and travels the entire length of Fremont. The Zipline you are in the seated position where with the Zoomline you are attached to the zipline in a superman pose and go MUCH faster!!!
I knew after seeing the Zoomline that there was no doubt I was going to ride it. I signed shortly after they opened their doors at 1pm. I timed it perfectly because at 1pm in the afternoon there was no line, no need for reservations (you do need reservations once the line starts to build), before I knew it I was being getting weighed (weight limit 100−300lbs with a max height of 6’8″) and fitted for a harness. The harness is canvas and encompasses your upper torso with a set of small Velcro straps that stretch down and wrap around your calves but still allows for full range of motion of your shoulders, arms & legs. The harness has a canvas bag that hangs below you for your belongings (i.e. chips, money, phone, hotel keys) so don’t worry about having to store them somewhere beforehand because they never leave your side.
At the top of the tower you lay down on an air mattress which is raised and lowered to allow the operators to suspend you from the cable without putting undue stress on your back. Once you are secured, the gate is lowered and you are encouraged to push off to give yourself some extra speed. I pushed off, took the amazing drop from the top of the tower and began picking up speed to ensure I traveled the entire distance of Fremont. I rode the ride with my hands outstretched which really slowed me down. I enjoyed the view and I zoomed down Fremont to the end of the ride. Just a note prepare yourself for the end of the ride because you stop suddenly, quickly & borderline violently if not prepared. My ride was during daytime hours and just not as exciting so I made the decision that I would return at night.
I returned with family members for the evening ride and this time around the line was much different. The line was long and even with our reservation time we waited well over an hour.
This time when finally being hooked up to the zipline cable in the superman position I knew exactly what I was going to do. I was going to push off the air mattress as hard as I could & take the initial drop ‘torpedo’ style which I did. I stiffened up my body (tighter is lighter), tucked my arms to my side, straightened out my legs and elevated them slightly as well as raising my head just a tad almost like in the ‘Ironman’ movies where he is trying to pick up speed when flying and boy did it work.
By the time I reached the initial drop I was traveling so fast and was so far out in front of my family members (5 separate zip/​zoom lines all being ridden at the same time) that I could no longer even hear them screaming. I could see people on the ground literally pointing up at me as I traveled by and I even said to myself at one point ‘self you might be going too fast’ but that didn’t stop me. I continued down Fremont with my arms tucked and continued to pick up speed the entire time until I reached the straightaway and began to slow before the above mentioned fun and abrupt stop.
I have always wanted to feel like what it felt like to be in a ‘wingsuit’ and man of man this ride 100% sparked my interest in exploring it further. I had an absolute blast on this ride and cannot wait to return and do it over again.
For an additional fee you can purchase a GoPro Helmet cam and of course having your pictures taken. If you are looking to save a few bucks for the roulette table be advised that up until you are hooked to the cable for ‘GO’ time you still have access to your phone. I simply notified friends/​family that were not riders in line and they took pictures & video so plan ahead.
If meeting friend/​family after ride is over ensure they wait for you where the ride ends not where it begins because the distance you are traveling is well over 500+ yards and quite a long walk on a crowded street.
There is no question if you enjoy putting your life in the hands of a canvas harness, a metal cable and minimum wage high school student/employee’s look no further than the Zoomline.

Based on the lower zip line experience, I’d rate this two stars. I wanted to do the upper experience where you’re semi-​prone and have a much longer ride, but it was either booked for this timeframe or closed for the evening.
It was o.k., and $ 20 isn’t that much, but we had an 11:00 PM reservation and didn’t get our turn until 11:45. The ride was very short and just not worth the effort. Staff was professional.

This is another one of those one and done attractions. Since I have never done any kind of zipline before, I cant really compare this until I ride another zipline.
With that said, I came on their 1 year anniversary so they had a 50 percent off special for both the zipline ($ 20 so $ 10) and the zoomline ($ 40 so $ 20).
After seeing how low and short the zipline was, my first thought was, why would you do that one when you have the zoomline which is much higher and way longer? If you ask me, I think the zipline is a waste of time and money as evidenced by the non existent line for that compared to the really long line for the zoomline.
Our board time was 9:40 pm. Long story short, we did not actually launch until about 11:40. Yes, 2 hours later! Not sure if it was because it was half off or this was the norm when they were busy but it was ridiculous. From going up the stairs, waiting to get outfitted which took the longest time, to finally taking off. Yes, I can understand that safety is very important but there’s gotta be a faster way of getting you ready.
Here’s the helpful info that you guys are looking for. You have to be at least 100 pounds but not more than 300 (they weigh you as you make it to the top of the stairs), not any taller than 6’8, and kids 13 and under must be accompanied by an adult (must ride with them). You put all your loose articles in a nice sized bag that zips up and is hooked on to your riding mechanism. Loose articles are glasses (if you don’t have a strap), wallets, keys, phones (yup, you cant take selfies or videos while riding for obvious reasons), flip flops, and any loose jewelry. The heavier you are, the faster you will go. You know, Newton’s law of gravity with the apple or something like that. Lastly, just right before you get to the end station, they literally slam the brakes to supposedly slow you down. I think the marks on my shoulders and front torso are still there from the straps digging into my skin. They need to work on a more gentle way of slowing you down.
As mentioned you cannot take video or use a selfie stick because when they first opened, you were allowed to do that until people started dropping their phones and selfie sticks. Because of this, some lawsuits were almost lost which could have virtually shut the ride down but it didn’t so now they made sure you put your stuff away into the bag provided. Here’s the kicker though, you can rent a helmet with a go-​pro built into the top for 60 bucks not to mention the pictures that are available at the end of the ride for even more cash. Can we say money grab?
In closing, I enjoyed my 30 seconds of feeling how Superman feels. Its just that I cant justify the 40 bucks to do it every time. Heck even at 20 I thought it was almost not worth it. Like I first said, once you do it, I don’t think its really necessary to ever do it again.

The zipline is the cheaper of the two options, and looking back… I should have gone for the zoom line.
It wasn’t bad — it was just shorter than I anticipated, and no matter what I did to try and turn myself around (kicked to the right, kicked to the left, flapped my arms like a bird, politely asked the rope to turn) I was backwards for 84% of my relatively short ride.
After having just done the set of Stratosphere rides, I felt like I was barely off the ground. I find it was mostly worth the $ 20, but next time I would double down for the $ 40 zoom line ride. I would also look around online… there has to be a coupon or Groupon for this somewhere.
You have a nice view of the whole area, but I went in the middle of the day (it was our last day there so I couldn’t wait until the sun went down and the lights went on) and from reading other reviews… after dark is the time to do it.
Middle of the day — no lights, no lines.
Night — lots of lights, probably a little bit of a line.
Conclusion: Zoomline, at night. Guaranteed to always face front. No need to flap your arms like a bird.

This was a FUNtastic first zip lining experience for my daughter and I! We knew we wanted to fly through Fremont Street when Bön Jovi was blasting in the overhead screen and we timed it perfectly! Here’s how we did it!
1) We looked up what artist is going to be played at what day/​time — Bön Jovi was at 9pm on Saturday (could be different — if you care, make sure you check!)
2) We chose the time slot 20 min before the show would go on and paid for it online which saves time in line.
3) A bit before our time we showed up to get our bracelets to be allowed up on the deck.
4) The staff was great and super efficient with getting everyone suited up in our belts and straps. If you have anything loose they simply attach a zipper bag to you.
5) We climbed stairs to get to our deck (we did the lower deck to be sitting for our ride and to go halfway down the street.) I think an elevator was available but not sure.
6) 4 people zip at one time so we moved pretty quickly!
Though I am scared of heights, the fact that I had to store my glasses in the bag means I could ignore how high I really was since it was fuzzy to me. Also when I feel securely attached it makes me less nervous as it did on the line.
We had a blast and I screamed so loud I gave myself a headache — but my son still couldn’t hear us from the ground over the Bön Jovi!
Our Three Thumb Review will again be given in the form of Rock On Fingers in this case! Ok, put up your pointer and pinky fingers with us… Lauren is pumping her Rock On fingers for the new experience of flying and for the awesome anthem «Living on a prayer!» Mom raised her Rock On Fingers for the confidence she felt in the employees at every stage as they strapped her to a thin wire. Carson gave it quick Rock On Fingers because it went fast so he didn’t feel too stranded for too long on the ground with all the colorful people that come out Saturday night!
There will definitely be an encore and we may go for the Extended Version where you fly the whole distance (2 city blocks) in Superman position!
