The pharmacy is a hit or miss. Went to fill a prescription for the first time and initially the staff was very friendly and helpful. I called two days later(think her name was Julie?) answered and she was very rude and condescending. I was very pleasant and patient, but she spoke over me with a patronizing and demeaning tone. Wtf? Having a bad day? Either way, arrogance doesn’t look good on anyone.

Jesus help this store! I visit the Smith’s on South Rainbow near Mountain’s Edge. I try to patronize them vs Walmart because I like the quality of the produce and meats much better. As we all know, we can go to places like Walmart and get most everything for much less. However, I still like to support them and can find a better quality of service that I prefer. On this particular visit I found there is no difference with the two stores. I came in to buy my weeks worth of fruits and veggies. It is busy in the produce area and I am trying to get to fruit in bins. There are two gentleman talking and leaning while customers maneuver around them. One of them is «working» and the other just chatting him up. You may think this is nothing unusual. When they are talking(full volume) about how the one had«smoked herb last night and gonna do it again tonight. Do you smoke?» It was ridiculous and not professional. I don’t care if you smoke. It doesn’t offend me. However, when I’m shopping and you represent your brand by being rude, inattentive, and obviously have no self awareness… I’m done. It was a funny story to tell. I was not the only one«looking sideways» at these guys. I won’t say I will never return to this location. I will say I am not going to seek it out.

Good store, the only grocery store in Southern Highlands. It gets super busy. My only complaint is the deli. It takes a very long time to get service. Plus the workers are not diligent w safe food handling practices.

What can you really say about a grocery store? This one is a nice, neighborhood grocery store, if not a little frustrating at times. It was close and convenient to the place I called home for five years, and the employees have always been wonderful and super sweet to me. From the guy that I always see working in produce that says hi to me every time, to the cashier that goes out of her way to make my son smile, all the way to the baggers who always offer to help me get my groceries out to my car when they see I have my hands full with said wiggly son. The down sides are that they constantly run out of basics, and their selection of more, «interesting» items, can be scarce. I spent twenty minutes one trip looking for corn starch, and none was to be found in the store. Asked an employee, who didn’t even know where it would be in any of the aisles. One would think near the baking powders, right? Nope, not that day at least. Or the day I wanted to pick up half gallon of chocolate milk, but they were completely out. Not just of the half gallon, but every single type of chocolate milk. And then just yesterday I needed a bag of frozen stir-fry veggies. The Kroger brand was on sale for a $ 1.00, but did they have it in stock? Nope, so I had to get the $ 3.99 name brand bag. And then in my quest for«rare» items, they have fallen short a few times. Short ribs? No, all out. Water chestnuts? Again, nope. Okay, something easier, how about some couscous, the pre-packaged stuff with the seasoning? Again, no. They get them in from time to time, or they magically arrive later and are regulars on the shelf, but at the time I looked for them, they were nowhere to be found. But still, it was my friendly neighborhood grocery store, and I enjoyed shopping there for the most part. I’m sad that I’ve moved out of the area and now go to a different store, but they were definitely alright in my book.

Always here always has what I need Wish there were cashiers later but I understand People are friendly but the customers at this smiths can be quite pretentious(jabronies). Feel for the staff, they deal with the baggage with a smile Awkwardly this past week they literally ran out of almost all their ice cream and I witnessed this lady berating her man/husband/bf «where’s all the f”@&{ing ice cream, I want ____!» I was like where’s this lady’s manners? Kudos to that man And the staff for not calling her put lol You guys(smith’s) have some patience

One word, Smiths. What a store. After finding a parking spot further from the door than you intended you are often stared at by the usual cart boys. Walking through the doors is similar to walking in to hell. As you proceed into the produce section you are always greeted by their overwhelmingly kind workers. Its hard to stay in this section for longer than a few minutes because of the anticipation of being that close to the sushi man. What a guy! He has comforted me more than anyone else! With a simple«sample?» he wins you over. Nearly faint after that emotional experience you wander the always empty shelves till you feel content. Nearing the end of your stay is always hard. You are soothed by the voice of the always friendly supervisor who directs you to a longer wait than the one you were previously in. There is a certain rush in that that you cant find anywhere else. Wow! While paying you are bombarded with Caitlyn Jenner headlines covering all of the magazines. You pay and with a cool«have a nice day» you are off! I would suggest tipping the bagger boys for there hard work day in and day out. As you exit the store you are always blinded by the setting sun. I might suggest flipping the store to prevent that. Always a great time! Thanks Smiths!

I used to enjoy shopping in our local Smiths but over the last year the service has dropped dramatically. The checkers are more concerned with speaking to each other about personal topics than greeting and engaging the clients. Often times there will be a group standing around talking but the only check out open is the self check. Frustrating and annoying to have service levels drop off this much. Hopefully management cares enough to listen to the shoppers and turn this around soon.

My house is in between this location and the Rainbow/Windmill location and I somehow always end up at this one and wonder why. This one has terrible customer service. At least at night when I’m there and tonight was no different. The girl running the self check outs at 11p seriously needs both an attitude adjustment and retraining. Ugh

My least favorite grocery store in the whole world. I love Smith’s. Not fond of this location. Poorest customer service skills. I’ve lived in the area over 2 years so I didn’t have much of a choice most times

I come to this location for all my grocery needs and I’m usually in and out with no complaints, but today I was disgusted by my cashier’s lack of customer service. She was a redheaded lady and I believe her name was Cecilia. She had a friendly conversation with the gentleman before me, but as soon as it was my turn, she ignored me like the plague. She was too involved with her coworkers, Blanca and Jesse. At one point she paused with my checkout and made a silly announcement over the speaker that have her fellow workers a laugh. She took no care in my groceries and allowed my apples to fall out of the bag and tumble all over the conveyer belt. I stared at her waiting for some acknowledgement of my existence but it never came. She handed me my receipt, without eye contact, I told her thank you and still NOtHInG!!! I had my 3 year old with me and even she was upset that she didn’t get her usual sticker! You are at work lady, not happy hour!

Consistently bad experience here. Always out of everything and the aisles always seem to be blocked. The policy appears to be «customers last» and the stockers who are replenishing the depleted inventory not only run you over but do so in a manner that makes you feel like you’re in their way even though you’re the one spending money there. Employees will always handle their business first often ignoring the customer or forcing the customer to take the most circuitous route around the store. Restocking seems to take place during the store’s busiest hours and inventory management for basic staples is spotty at best. Also, stocked products seem to be awfully close to their respective expiration dates. I will say that the one redeeming aspect of this store are the checkout personnel… They are all cheerful, efficient, and downright enjoyable.

Just moved to the area. Love this place. Clean, friendly, great selection all with fair prices. Everything I have bought from the bakery has been absolutely amazing. Also love that they are open 24hrs, really convenient.

I guess it’s just like any Smith’s Food & Drug Center I’ve been too. This one is cleaner than usual and they give samples, AYYYE ;). However, I gave this location 2 stars because, for my last 2 visits, for some odd reason there were flies in the bakery/meat section! It was honestly the grossest thing about my experience there. I do prefer Smith’s for my deli/dairy needs, but c’mob why were there soon many flies in that area?! Everything else was fine in all isles, and I usually come in and get out when I get everything crossed off my grocery list. The checkout station is speedy, never a wait which is what I like for quick grocery stops. That’s really all I’ve got to say about Smith’s, just needed to let out my cringed feelings about my past visits. SMITHS, PLEASETAKECAREOFTHATPROBLEM! and maybe I’ll update my rating for it! :)

The only reason I ever go to this Smiths is if I need something while picking up my pup from daycare nearby. I ask myself why I go in there every time. On numerous occasions I’ve walked out with nothing because there were swarms of flies near the deli, seafood and meat departments. Super gross. How does no one else notice this and do something? The one occasion I bought a packaged item I did the self check out and there were no bags, I had to steal a couple from another station. It’s always really crowded, probably because there are no other grocery stores nearby. Most of the customers are rude and just stand in the way. I won’t be back unless it’s an emergency!

We stumbled into Smith’s while gearing up for a trip out to Grand Canyon and beyond. They had a great selection of fresh fruits and the normal staples needed for a camping /road trip. The place was clean and well organized. Service was friendly and the parking situation was good.

Kind of late review, but this is for their bakery section. Needed a quick but cute cake within 24 hours, and they did it! The lady who took my order was so nice and helped me due to never ordering a cake from Smiths before. She told me whatever I wanted to do they’ll do it, and that their cake decorator is really good. They had red velvet flavor with white whipped icing and it was requested for«happy birthday» part to be toward the bottom of an 8inch round cake, and three symbols going around the top. Picked up the next day and the writing and symbols were awesome! The cake decorator was amazing and it turned out really cute to present to a small birthday gathering. Had another one done at the Smiths on Rampart and Lake Mead and it turned out so bad. I wish I was closer or I would have came again, I’m basically going to because it was done so well and so cute. Thank you again!

I’ve been going to this grocery every other day– if not daily for the past 3 years. Crowds have increased significantly over the past few months and I’ve been tolerate, but the cleanliness… absolutely disgusting. The flies near the produce, deli and meat section literally made me abandon my shopping cart today. To top it off on my way to another grocery, I called to speak to a manager — asking what the plan is to address the flies, her response Word-for-Word, «I don’t know what to tell you, we are trying.» I said, what are you trying? …(silence) nothing, no answer, no solution… Seriously?! Can’t shop here anymore no matter how convenient :(

This has to be the worst smith’s in Vegas. I came here at 4pm earlier today and they were out of 2% milk, and now I’m back at 1:20am the same day and this place still has no milk! Terrible management! I will never go to smiths moving forward because of this sh*thole.

I recently moved into this area. I am thankful to have a Smith’s nearby. I usually visit the store once a week for my basic shopping needs. I have found the fruit and vegetables to be well stocked with fresh/ripe inventory. There is usually someone unloading more inventory in this section, so if you have any questions, you won’t have to look far. There is a nice floral section as well as meat and deli. I was pleasantly surprised to see there is a large section devoted to alternative food choices like: soy or almond milk products, gluten free, vegan, vegetarian, etc. The store is clean and very organized. The check out has been speedy yet friendly. *Be careful when parking, the lot can get a little crazy at times, I have already witnessed a fender bender while I was leaving.
