From the very first call in finding a new vet South Shores was awesome. Nick set up my appointment and was super great! The girls at the front are wonderful and Dr Kana Noda was the best vet I’ve seen. She was super nice, gave us the attention as new visitors needed and really cared for my dogs. She informed us what was best and even after the appointment was a great help. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Thank you!

I dont often write reviews– few businesses leave me totally impressed and thankful after visiting them. South Shores is an exeption to this statement. They have treated me and my dogs so good. Although I am not a lifelong patient, they always make me feel welcomed and loved and more importantly, they truly care about my dogs. They have provided care to me and my dogs not only medically but also emotionally in times of need. They send out the cutest reminders through mail, the best wishes when a pup passes away or a great welcome when a new dog becomes a new patient. And they are personalized — they truly care and take the time to let you know. I am moving out of state and they are definitely going to be missed by me and my puppies. I was so happy and pleased with the care they provided. And for those who dont have a lot of money to spend, they are so affordable and always do whats best for you and your dog, without doing unnecessary exams that would only hurt your pockets. I highly recommend South shores animal hospital :)

We had a great experience with the vet office. We just moved here and selected South Shores based on the reviews, distance from our house, and hours. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful since we were just getting our two dogs set up. We met with Dr. Noda who was able to answer all of our questions. One of our dogs seems to have allergies so she was able to tell us what to watch for and let them know if anything else came of it. The staff did a great job giving them their shots and cutting their nails. We feel lucky we found a great vet on the first try!

There is no sense of urgency. I took my cat cause she was not acting her normal self. They took X-​rays felt her down and they said there was nothing immediately wrong that she would be better in a few days no medicine sent nothing. The next day she seemed to be in more pain. I called in the vet issued some pain medication buprenorphine. This just seem to paralyze my poor cat the within 10 hrs of taking the prescribed medication in the prescribed dosage she passes away. I called the vet in the morning and their response is I didn’t think she was on deaths door. Actually surprised that she had passed away. I spent a few hundred dollars for her treatment. The only they can offer is for me to pay for a autopsy. I opted out of doing that and preferred to use my hard earned money to have her cremated and have a memorial for her made. My cat was amazing she was only indoors and her sister is just fine… Be warned

This animal hospital was wonderful. A few months ago I was referred here by another animal hospital that I had called to see if they would take in an injured, wild bird that I found at the dog park. The bird got attacked by a big hunting dog and had lost a lot of feathers so it could no longer fly. It broke my heart to see the bird WALKING around the fenced in dog area so I picked it up and brought it home with me. I did a search for veterinarians that take in wild animals. The first place I called said that they don’t do it and gave me the name of this place. I called and was able to bring in the bird right away. After the veterinarian (I didn’t catch her name) performed a free exam, she said the bird didn’t have any injuries, just loss of feathers, and would be okay to release back into the wild. I really appreciate a vet that actually cares about animals and not just about money. I’ve always taken my dog to a different vet a few miles up the road but plan on switching to this one when my dog needs her next exam or treatment.

Great vet office. Very friendly staff, Dr Noda was great. My pit/​lab mix Kaos was his normal vet visit anxious but the staff was great got his shots and nails trimmed no problem. Best is its in walking distance from my house.

This is my second time here, first time was for another cat we went to a different place last night (because of hours and location) and after an hour with no resolution (not even seen by a doctor at that point) we walked out and decided we made a huge mistake by not coming here. So well, here we are (lesson learned). Now that I got that out of the way, let me tell you how I’ve decided this is the best vet! We walked in, were pleasantly greeted and shown right back to a room. Less than 5 min and the first girl comes in to go over why we are there. Says the doctor will be in shortly. Less than 10 min go by and she’s in there saying sorry for the wait! (I hope you can read my excitement because talk about awesome! Doctors of all kinda seem to always be 30+ min) so the doctor goes over the game plan and unlike the vet last night, she didn’t try to add all these extra costs. So the doctor takes the cat back and comes back with the cost of service before she does anything to review the cost and make sure that’s what we want. Ummmm can I get a hello! Awesome! Thank you for not assuming I can afford it without going over my options! And here it’s now been 35 min. We just finished, paid our bill and are heading home! Talk about an all around AMAZING EXPERIENCE! Not to mention both times we’ve been here the office staff was friendly as all get out! Thanks for being awesome at customer service and for loving peoples family!

Dr. Claus is one of the best veterinarians in the valley. He saved one of my dogs and is extremely knowledgeable. Highly recommended!

We have been taking our dogs and numerous other rescue pets here for 15 years. Dr Claus is a skilled and knowledgable doctor, who cares about his patients and their families. He will discuss several options with families to ensure you are happy with the treatment your animals receive and are not surprised at the costs either. Our dogs go to him for routine shots and unfortunately we’ve had to have them go for emergencies as well. I trust all of the doctors at this clinic, and have never been disappointed with South Shores.

Dr. Noda is just awesome! Everyone here is super friendly and welcoming and my boy (Lab/​Retriever) Dooper loves coming here rather than being anxious about a vet visit. He goes straight to the scale and sits on it when he arrives! We have been bringing him here for a few years now and Dr Noda has dealt with anything from damaged paw pads from a too vigorous hike with Dad to eating a whole bag of Halloween candy to most distressing of all when he started having seizures. Dr Noda is kind, compassionate and couldn’t be more caring. We are clients forever!

Dr Claus is a fantastic vet! The staff are quick and knowledgable in what they are doing!
I feel some places are like used cars dealerships, but this medical centre isn’t one of those. They always offer you a choice and never pressure you into anything you need.

Dr. Claus and his staff are AWESOME!!! They always make me and my quadrupeds feel welcome and I always feel like everything that can be done is done. The prices are reasonable and they are great about giving you different care options, depending on your budget and priorities. The front desk girls are friendly and professional and always greet us warmly and are happy to see my furkids. Dr. Claus and his staff got me over 2 extra years on my terminally ill Hairless, Chinese Crested when even the oncologist gave him less than 6 months. I love Dr. Claus and his staff. I will not go anywhere else. I use their grooming services as well for both of my furry quadruped children and Erin is AMAZING! My boys leave looking like little ’80’s rock stars! I can’t say enough great things about the compassion and level of care I have received here. I highly recommend them.

I rushed my mix toy poodle her because of having difficulty to deliver her puppies, Dr Claus and all the staff are so nice and kind. Dr Claus did his best to save my baby’s life and the two puppies. They really care your pet as their own. Thanks doctor Claus your the best.

Goodbye Pet Medical Center; Hello new doctors with affordable pricing, caring staff and people who don’t email me monthly reminding me my Pug is fat. I am extremely pleased with the South Shores Animal Hospital. I had been a long-​time client of Pet Medical Center but my boyfriend wanted to switch because a doctor left our old vet and moved to South Shore.
We visited with all three dogs last week and I was extremely pleased. The staff was very friendly and handed the record switching from our old vet. We had an eye infection treated on my pug, a wellness exam on our Golden and a swift check up on our maltese. Overall, it was a good visit. I will definitely be back!

I’ve been taking my puppy to see Dr. Claus at South Shores Animal Hospital for about 4 months now. The service here is spectacular and Dr. Claus is an excellent vet. Anytime we’ve come in with an issue, he’s been able to successfully diagnose and cure my puppy.
My puppy had dental surgery here as well and everything went smoothly and perfectly. The only reason I can’t give them 5 stars is because of their grooming. The groomer isn’t very kind and doesn’t seem to know much about customer service. That’s ok though, I’ll just get grooming done elsewhere. I highly recommend this vet!

We’ve brought all 3 of our dogs here to see Dr Mark Claus over the past 15yrs. Couldn’t think of a more caring person and doctor to help us deal with all stages of their lives. Look no further for best vet in our valley.

The 6^th Day of Christmas.
I’ve been taking my Shih Tzu, Marley, here ever since he was a wee pup eleven years ago. Over the years, the vets and staff here have always been compassionate and friendly to him when he needed vaccinations or a teeth cleaning. Marley is my baby boy and I couldn’t ask for a better place for him to get the medical care he needs when he needs it. I’m grateful for the years of service that South Shores Animal Hospital has provided and look forward to many more.
