Business Owner

David Levi is the owner of SubZero Recovery San Diego which specializes in whole body cryotherapy, local cryotherapy, and SubZero Facials! He went to the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and worked in the boxing promotional industry. After seeing and hearing stories about how cryotherapy was helping athletes recover, and relieving pain people had suffered from for years, he decided to bring cryotherapy to Las Vegas and San Diego.

I have been coming to SubZero several times a week since January and absolutely love it. The staff is very welcoming and I usually am in and out without any wait. You really cannot ask for anything more! I personally enjoy the recovery aspects of cryotherapy and the added energy boost — I tend to come in during the late morning or early afternoon after workouts. I like to mix in the whole body cryotherapy with an occasional facial treatment. The convenience factor, the reliability, the friendly staff, and of course the immediate and long term benefits of the Cryotherapy treatments have been well worth it and I highly recommend SubZero in Las Vegas to anyone looking to try either Whole Body Cryotherapy for the first time or for anyone who is coming into town for a visit and is looking for a Cryotherapy location.

This place is amazing! For anyone that hasn’t tried cryotherapy yet, I highly recommend giving it a go!
I signed up for an unlimited month pass for 300 dollars. I intend on using this as much as possible. I have a few nagging injuries that I am trying to shake and cryotherapy is supposedly incredibly effective at lowering inflammation so I figured I would give it a go.
The facility is clean, staff is friendly and they have a juca cryosauna. I have never had a long wait here. I just sign in, put on a robe, socks and mittens, and then do a 3 minute freeze at –220 degrees! It isn’t very hard to grit it out for 3 minutes and you feel absolutely amazing after!

If you haven’t tried cryotherapy you are missing out! I have been doing this almost daily for a little over a month for pain relief from past injuries. Not only have I experienced reduced pain and swelling in my ankle and shoulder but I have also lost some weight! It can be a little uncomfortable at first but you warm up immediately once you step out of the chamber. The office is clean and the staff is friendly.

I had a great experience at SubZero Recovery. I heard about this place from some of my friends and thought I would give it a try. I am so happy I decided to try out cryotherapy.
Walking into SubZero you are greeted by very knowledgable and attentive staff. The girls at the front desk described the different treatments they offer and the associated benefits of «freezing.» I chose to try a full body session.
Then they gave me a very nice robe and slippers to change into. The girls then explained in detail what the next 2 minutes were going to be like in the cryotherapy machine. Looking at the machine, the process seemed a little intimidating, but their guidance made me feel safe at all times. For every question, I asked they had a clear answer.
It was definitely very cold during the treatment, but OH BOY, was it ever worth it! I felt amazing exiting the machine. It is a feeling I can only describe as rejuvenating. I felt energized and extremely happy. It put me in the best mood.
I will definitely be back again.

This place is AMAZING! I’ve been training for a marathon and have had shin splints 40% of the time. It’s been horrible. everyday my legs kill just doing daily activities. So SubZero Recovery was the perfect solution to my agony! It’s super easy and quick. You undress, wrap up in a towel, throw on some of their wool gloves, socks and slippers and jump in. And just like that you are done in 3 minutes. It’s cold but you don’t feel like you are gonna die. it’s bearable. Afterwards my body was cold for awhile but honestly it was nice considering Vegas heat. For 2 days my shin splints didn’t bother me. Which is a HUGE win! Going from constant pain and annoyance to GONE. sign me up! Not to mention the place is super clean, the staff extremely friendly and informative, and the location is right off the freeway. It was love at first freeze hahah.

Review is for the customer service at the reception desk which could use some improvement. Receptionist didn’t feel like explaining the benefits to us as the first time users. Instead, she just handed us the pamphlet. We emailed their office a few times before purchasing the sessions on Groupon, but never received a response back. My husband might have forgotten an item in the change room. He called and left a voicemail, but didn’t even receive a courtesy return call either. The in-​room tech was nice though — very informative and caring, but her coworker was a little cold (no pun intended), and needs some serious improvement. But, then again, this is Vegas, and we’re from CA and are used to true customer-​based service. We loved our first cryotherapy, but will consider going to a different place moving forward.

What’s cooler than being cool? Ice cold, baby! This place is the future of sports recovery. By taking the old concept of icing your muscles after a workout or injury, and beefing it up by throwing you in a Futuramaesque cryogenic chamber, they have discovered the key to efficient recovery.
This method has been available to All-​Star boxers, basketball players, and any major sports athletes for some time now, but fortunately for us, they have made it available to the mainstream (or up-​and-​coming all-​star athletes).
If you’re scared or nervous, I suggest just stopping by to make a consultation with one of the friendly people working there. The owner is especially helpful in that he used to work closely with top boxers in the city. I can’t remember the name of the really famous one. Flynn Juneforecast is his name I think? Not sure. I don’t follow boxing in Las Vegas much. UFC UFC UFC!!!
