Taylored Photo Memories

I have been searching for a wedding photographer for my sister n laws wedding. I called six different companies and This was the only company who actually answered their phone. She was so helpful and patient with me considering I had a ton of questions and have no idea what I need. I’m looking forward to working with her!

McKenzi is amazing! She was our photographer for both our engagement shoot (Jan 2015) and our wedding (Sept 2015) and we could not have been any happier with the photos! She took the time to get to know us before suggesting locations for pictures to make sure that where we went would match our personalities. In general she is very responsive to email/​text and is an open communicator– I like that she was open to any ideas for photos that we had during our sessions rather than taking the «I’m the photographer, I know best» approach. She worked so well with our timeline and was just extremely easy to work and coordinate with! We always felt comfortable working with her, it was never awkward. We would absolutely recommend her as a photographer!
For our engagement shoot we went to Red Rock Canyon and hiked in about a mile to a beautiful area (she made sure we’d be okay with the hike ahead of time, of course!) and even though we only paid for an hour long session, we were not charged for the extra time driving in and hiking to and from the spot she recommended.
A side note– McKenzi worked really well with our videographer making sure the lighting and positioning worked well for both of them. I appreciated that as I’ve been to wedding where this has not been the case.
One reviewer said all the editing done was making some pictures black and white, but I’m not sure what else they were wanting? She does professional touch ups on the ‘favorites’ that you select from your album and I was very happy with everything we received from her. She was very prompt, even early, for all our meetings. I also did not find her to be short of ideas. She used the best poses for each setting and also has a ‘go with the flow’ mentality to see a lot of natural shots.
Thank you for perfectly capturing our wedding, McKenzi! We will (and already have) refer you to anyone we know looking for a photographer in Vegas.

I Found Mckenzie by fellow Unilocalers! I’m so glad I did! I begged my fiancé to take engagement pictures because out of the 7 years we have been together we literally had two pictures that I reused for every Christmas card ect. My guy does not like to have his picture taken!
Mckenzie was amazing at communicating to set a date. The day of, it was forecasted to rain! The one day a year it rains in Vegas had to be the random Tuesday I chose for our pictures right?! Mckenzie even made sure to meet us earlier that day at the last minute! She was great about placing us and finding beautiful spots to take our picture. She even worked well with our 4 month old pup that was not cooperating very well! I had a couple of props I wanted to use and she made sure to get them! We got so many great shots! I’m really impressed and will definitely be using her anytime I can convince the fiancé! Maybe Christmas!!!

I’ve hired McKenzi from Taylored Photo Memories for my office Holiday Party and for my professional headshots. Both are very different types of photography, but she is talented and can deliver the best for both. Most of the time I consider myself as not being very photogenic. Although posing for the headshots were uncomfortable for me, she made the experience fun and was able to capture really nice, «unstaged,» shots for my business. She is friendly, timely, creative, and professional. Many of my friends have used her for their professional headshots and weddings and they have nothing but great things to say about their experience with her. She delivers proofs in a timely matter, and there is no doubt that she is passionate about what she does by the quality of work she delivers!

McKenzi is great. She helped us with some photography for a conference. She is very professional and friendly. The photos looked great. I would highly recommend her services.

McKenzi is a wonderful photographer! But she’s also personable, professional and makes you feel like you are her priority. I have used her services twice and the senior photos she took of my son and later of his band, The Classifieds, were exceptional. She always arrives on time, gives her subjects her undivided attention, comes up with unique and interesting shots and takes 100s of photos… caring more about the shot and the quality of her work than whether you’ve gone a little over the allotted time. I can not recommend Taylored Memories more!

Mckenzie did a great job on our wedding photos at the Neon Museum. She was kind, professional, and fun. She was even thoughtful weeks later after the photos were complete. The photos looked great and really captured the fun and joy of our day.

Well, first of all I will apologize for writing a review way after my event (wedding). I got married on 2013 and I chose Taylored photo memories, to be the photographer at my wedding… the girl that took our pictures (McKenzi Taylor) is really nice, she was accessible and easy to work with… Just 3 points that were really disappointing…
1– we had an agreement for specific time (1 and a half hours exactly) and she was explicit on the extra fees for a portion of time (every 15 mins would add an extra fee) in case the session got extended… Which I was totally fine and accepted it… But she run around 15 mins late, and did not recovered at the end (our session was from 830 to 10, she reached by 8:45 — 8:50 and the session actually got ver by 9:50 — 9:55) I’m sorry I was so conscious about time, but well, she was taking a fee if you extended your sessions but didn’t recovery lost time…
2– she was really short of ideas… Almost all the pictures were taken in the same position just different backgrounds… I mean… COME ON!!! YOU ARE IN VEGAS!!! I saw her so short of ideas and I was getting so worried and disappointed all my wedding pics were about to be the exact same that I started giving ideas to her… of course I’m not a professional and I was also very short on them but it really make me feel she was just clicking the shooting button without caring a lot… Some of the pictures I really liked (because of the place, people or arrangements) were with us (groom and bride) with the eyes closed, she didn’t even bothered to check them and retake them (I’m was not asking to retake all pics that involved people closing their eyes, but would be nice if it was sure that groom and bride were with their eyes opened.)
3– when she sent the pictures it was even worst… I thought she will work on them a little bit, but the only thing done was getting some pictures black and white and that’s it… No retouching, nothing at all… We even got the pictures where we were closing our eyes, and that very same one in black and and white… (Why would I want a pic that obviously It’s not flattering plus the same awful one in black and white???) it just made me feel that she was just selecting random pics without even looking and making them black and white…
We live in Texas, so we had nothing left to do but suck it up and select the best from all the other rubbish… (Like 8 – 10 from 1 and a half hours)
Some day I will renew my vows and hopefully can get better ones…

McKenzi is EXTREMELY GIFTED at what she does!!! She has a fantastic eye for composition and is able to translate your personality into her photos.
My husband and I headed to Las Vegas for our 5 year anniversary and to renew our vows. We LOVE photos and wanted to capture this time in our lives, so I searched high and low for a photographer. (My husband is a cinematographer so we are pretty particular about our photos!) We didn’t want photos of our actual vow renewal, we just wanted photos of us.
After MUCH research and phone calls/​emails, I chose McKenzi. How blessed we were to have her!
Leading up to our appointment she was a wonderful communicator. We hashed out the details and she was so patient with me as I changed my mind on details and options.
She arrived on time and was utmost professional yet also fun to shoot with. We had two photo shoots, morning & evening, and although McKenzi’s day was long (she had a wedding to shoot in-​between our shoots), she remained high energy for the time we were with her.
I recommend her to ANYONE who wants great photos — for an event or just to have them as a keepsake. Rest assured that if photos are important to you, just call McKenzi and relax knowing that she will take care of it all!

I have had Mckenzi take photos of us several time and would absolutely use her services again in the future. Most recently, the weather was not cooperative and rained during most of our photo session– McKenzi was able to make it work and we ended up with some really fun and creative images.

McKenzi was very accommodating. She initially traveled to San Diego for our engagement photos and again for the wedding several months later. She made us very comfortable at multiple locations. McKenzi was always conscious of utilizing the environment and background to get the perfect shot. McKenzi has great suggestions, but was also very open to anything we wanted to do. We hired McKenzi for an event that we hosted in Las Vegas and were incredibly impressed with not only her pictures, but also her professionalism. She was independent and captured great shots of everyone. I even liked her table top style. We also needed some help in post production and she rocked that as well. Definitely a great photographer for events!

Words cannot express how I feel about the photography services McKenzie offers. I am in love with the wonderful job she did on our Springs Preserve elopement just 3 weeks ago in Vegas. She was very knowledgeable, knew exactly how to give direction to newbies like my then-​fiancé and I, and just yesterday, there I sat in my living room with my now-​husband by my side crying, reliving the moments of that incredibly special and joy filled day. Thank goodness for McKenzi! As if weddings aren’t stressful enough, our photographer canceled on us the night before our wedding and we didn’t know what to do. So first thing in the morning we just started emailing and calling people trying to find someone to step in. Then we found McKenzi. Not only was she willing to take over at the last minute, but she was willing to work with us on a price and package that was exactly what we were looking for. If you’re in Vegas and looking for a photographer, I can not recommend her enough.

I highly recommend McKenzi Taylor she is an amazing photographer. I have my own wedding business and have hired her many times to do the photography for my brides and she has always done an amazing job.
I just had to do some professional shots for myself and to be honest I was very nervous because I am not very good in front of a camera but McKenzi really knew how to make me feel relaxed and managed some how to capture my best qualities.

I booked a family photo session with Taylored Photo Memories because McKenzi took the loveliest photos of my friend’s children and came highly recommended.
We had our photos taken by McKenzi last week at the Springs Preserve and it was such a wonderful experience.
It was my first session with a professional photographer, so I was nervous about how things would play out since I have a very active 3 year-​old. However, all of that went away as soon as we met McKenzi. She’s such a warm, easy-​going person and my daughter took to her from the start.
We took photos in various spots around Springs Preserve and it was nice to have McKenzi’s expertise in choosing where to take each photo.
She even brought some alphabet blocks to place in a few shots and encouraged us beforehand to bring some of my daughter’s favorite toys. These items brought such a nice touch to the photos and helped to capture this special time in my daughter’s childhood.
I’m so grateful we hired McKenzi. It was worth the time we set aside to meet with her and have professional photos taken in a relaxed, beautiful environment.

One of the things that I value in a business is the level of personalized customer care that given to the consumer. In each industry there are things a company or person can do to show they are paying attention to the details.
And in the field of photography, I find that the attention to details here lies in the level of relationship created between the photographer and the client.
McKenzi of Taylored Photo Memories did such a great job of making me feel comfortable and establishing a relationship that felt natural, like we were just hanging out while she took some pictures. I think that what separates McKenzi from other photographers is the idea that relationship matters… that it’s not about staging everything and having the whole shoot be regimented– it’s about making your clients feel comfortable and natural so they can showcase who they truly are.
My pictures came out wonderfully, were turned around quickly and professionally (and with a face like mine, I can’t imagine how much photoshopping she had to do). and I couldn’t be happier with the results.
