The Paramount Apartments

Recently moved into my apartment and I love everything about it. Kelly Raeymaekers in the office was so helpful and nice. She answered all of the questions I had and made sure I got exactly what I wanted. The other staff member I met named Jenn was nice as well. I would definitely recommend these luxury apartments. Great community with great staff!

Decent location. Poor management and very bad security (especially at night). Lots of irresponsible pet owners and dog poop everywhere. Definitely better places to live. Not the worst, but would not ever recommend to someone I liked. We expressed some things that were bad many times and nothing was ever done. This place is a lot of talk and no action.

I’ve lived here for one year now. Management has been quite responsive to any concerns or needs. Any maintenance issues are resolved usually the same day depending on the time that you report issue. The grounds are kept nice year round. There are two pools both very nice and one is heated during the colder months. If I were to complain about anything it would be the extremely loud AC and generic electric stoves but those are both minor things I adjusted. I have recently renewed and relocated within the complex from the ground floor apt 1084 (be aware if you lease this apartment you’ll have a daycare above your head from 7am to 6pm) but I complained to management about it and within 30 minutes they had given the upstairs neighbor’s a warning. It got a little better but try to stop five children that aren’t yours from running around. Other than that I would highly recommend you renting from this apartment complex.

I moved in and thought all was great! Then I heard the Mgr Deanna talking to her staff like they were bad children. Asking this one young girl if she was retarded or what, and then told her to leave the office she couldn’t stand to look at her. Then a Latino guy was sitting at his desk and Deanna shouted at him to say what’s on his mind instead of shaking his head. BUT she told him to speak English!!! This woman is so rude and I would never had put up with her ranting behavior EVER!!!

Nice property but the 24 hour pool that sits in the middle of the complex always has residents that bring their own speakers and are blasting music at all hours. The management does not seem to enforce any rules about this. If you go to the pool you are forced to listen to whatever music one of the residents has set up (usually rap). This noise also carries into all of the apartments especially if you open your windows.

Do not rent from this apartment complex. Hector and Debbie in the office are crooks. They nickle and dime you to death and try to go back on your account months later and make up fees you owe to get more money from you. They will not refund your deposit. Was a model tenant, never late on our rent… and even though the law states you only have to give a 30 day notice to vacant, this apartment required 60 and they will force you to pay even if you vacant the property. STAY AWAY. You will regret renting from this place and the office people are terrible to work with.

I sincerely miss living here! I moved out of this complex after graduating from UNLV since I was relocating to San Diego for work. These apartments are gorgeous inside and out. It has all the bells and whistles: alarm system, car port, huge closets, huge bathrooms, and ceiling fans. My only complaint is that they don’t offer units with gas stoves :(
For myself, I didn’t experience any challenges getting my deposit back and the move in conditions were great. I never had challenges with maintenance coming for repairs or other requests either. I did experience 1 cockroach in my 9 month lease, but if I were a cockroach, I’d probably try to get indoors too if its 110 degrees outside!
Living here is definitely more costly than other places in Vegas, but the location and quality of the building is definitely worth it. Thumbs up Picerne!

I have had no problems with this place. We have been here 15 months and now we are moving into a house. The only reason we are moving is because we are expanding our family. These are the most spacious floor plans you will find in Vegas. Office is always helpful and repairs are usually fixed the same day. To the lady that complained about them not accepting rent unless it was paid in full: really? I don’t know anyone who accepts partial payments. Don’t get something if you can’t afford it! I would recommend this place to anyone. Most people complain because they don’t read their lease. Read before you sign. 60 days move out notice etc. AC is loud, but most are in this area. AC works very well! Closets are huge! Pools are very nice and there is a nice park across the street. Plenty of parking.

Bugs bugs and more bugs. If you like having scorpions in your bed, getting stung at 2am then this is the place for you! Management could care less about your problems, over priced as well. Don’t get a lower unit.

Just moved in and I definitely think this place is by far the best value in the area. The girl in the leasing office, Katie, really cares and took lots of time with us. I had an issue my first week and they got on it immediately. You can tell they care and I love feeling at home.

I just moved into The Paramount Apartments and I couldn’t be happier with the entire process! The people who work in the leasing office are really helpful and it is really comforting to know that the leasing agents live here too. Upon moving in, my apartment looked brand new and the kitchen is more spacious than any other apartment complex I toured. My apartment overlooks a pool (and since there are two pools on site it is never crowded) and I feel like I’m getting a deal considering the apartment upgrades and excellent customer service.
I highly recommend this apartment!

So. I’ve lived here almost two years now. I have lived in a lot of apartments over the years and this is definitely one of the better ones.
I lived in one of the one bedroom units for 780/​month. The only time I got warned was when I left a water bottle on the edge of my balcony. Totally get it you want this place to look nice, I never let it happen again.
When I moved out my great grandmother had just passed away and I could not bring myself to fully clean the apartment. When I say fully cleaned I mean vacuumed and get the floorboards. I wiped down everything. I called and they were understanding. I lost $ 60 out of the deposit because my friend had spilled red wine on the carpet. (We all know how hard that is to get out.) Totally understandable. They also did not charge me because I forgot to turn in my extra key. My current roommate had it and we had just moved into their two bedroom apt. With all the chaos I forgot and they were fine with it.
The two bedroom is perfect for us since its a dual master. My sliding door broke on my closet and I called and scheduled an appt for them to come by because I feel weird about people in my place without me there. They came at exactly the time they said they would. (Which reminds me I had them change my alarm code in the old apt they did it in a day.) Yes the AC is loud but am I the only one who LIKES falling asleep to white noise?
I only had one problem with the staff and technically my fault. My rent check bounced while I was in the one bedroom because my bank had issues with their bank app and missed my money transfer. The office told me I would not be able to pay rent with a check for 6 months. When I moved into the two bed I forgot and paid with a check. They had to call and tell me I needed a money order. I was rude because it was an inconvenience for my roommate and I. BUT I apologized when I went in and spoke with the woman who had called me and she apologized because she said she should have told me sooner. In general they are all sweet and accommodating. I would recommend this complex. Especially if Hector is still here because he’s pretty awesome!
Ask for Hector! (Also the property manager makes me laugh because she’s down to earth, the postman left me a note on an envelope saying find a package at the office and we couldn’t. She was rolling her eyes and it cracked me up.)

Stay away from this place… Its a nice place, especially their different floor plans. I chose to live in the town homes. At first I felt like I was at home when I first moved in until I started getting warnings from my neighbors how much the landlord fines and complains about everything.
The management wont accept rent unless its all in full. They force you to be late so they can get there fees and legal fees etc. They don’t even have a rent drop box, so the tenants can actually pay on time. If you choose to pay online they will charge a $ 60 fee on top of your rent. The management are rude! When I surrendered my lease, which I never wanted to do, the lady in the office wanted to change the reason why I wanted to move out. SMH!!!
This place is such a disappointment because it is very beautiful. SMH. If your rent is $ 1400 and you’re short $ 50 they wont accept it. I search for places and before I moved in here I checked the Unilocal reviews about this place and it was all bad, but I was stubborn and I moved into this place anyways… I should’ve trusted the reviews.
Also you can hear your next door neighbors conversation because the walls are very very thin… Make sure to whisper at all times, because if I can hear my next doors business, they can definitely hear mine.
If you have visitors with dogs, beware cause you will get fine for it too. It looks expensive but the quality of their cabinets etc. are all cheap!!! The AC is loud as hell!!! I can also hear my neighbor walking up and down the stairs from my bottom master bedroom and hearing them talk…
I’d rather live in a better place with better management…

This place doesn’t care about their tenants, all they want is your money and they don’t care if you surrender or break your lease because it’s how they’re getting paid… When you break or surrender your lease, make sure you have over $ 8K to pay, or your credit is ruined.

If I could give 2.5 stars i would have. I’ve lived here for almost a year and though the apartment and ground are indeed very nice, I do have some pretty serious complaints. As everyone else has said, the AC is VERY LOUD! You do have to turn up the volume on the TV. Volume goes up, down, up, down, up, down… drives you crazy. It makes it hard to talk on the phone too.
After being here a few months, all of a sudden my cable went out. Well, I called Cable and after several workmen had come and taken a look, I was told that most likely the people either above or below me, tried to steal my cable and ended up cutting me off. The office staff offended two of the cable men and then refused to fix the problem, saying that it would take cutting into the wall and looking at the wires in all three apartments and they weren’t allowed to do that. Needless to say, I had to move my TV. I’ve heard from several different companies that the wiring in these buildings is all bad and there are constant problems. I asked the office to at least check the apartments upstairs and downstairs to see if they had indeed tried to steal my cable and even though they said they checked and didn’t find anything, I spoke to the people downstairs and was told nobody from the office ever checked.
The appliances in the apartments are not great. My fridge causes so much condensation, most of my leftovers get ruined. The stove will tell you it’s reach the desired temperature, but my thermometer says there’s a 200 degree difference. I always clean off my dishes by hand, so I can’t say how good the dishwasher is. I’ve always had to use community washer and dryers, but my apartment has its own full size washer and dryer, that is so convenient, I can’t really complain about them.
My biggest complaint is with the customer service, if you have a complaint. I can’t ever hear the neighbors that live next to me, but I do hear every stomp of the kid upstairs and even though I’ve complained to the office 3 times about his unusually loud stomping around and I’ve talked to him directly 3 separate times, the office has never done anything about it. I’m pretty sure he’s up there playing a wii or some other game and it literally rattles my windows and makes my ceiling fan shake. Also, the covered spaces are for tenants only, with parking permits (only 1 per apartment, no matter how many rooms you have) but parking is never enforced. Tenants let guests park in covered spaces ALL THE TIME. I really wouldn’t mind so much, if I didn’t have a disability that makes it very painful to walk. I always make sure my guests park in uncovered spaces. I hoped my neighbors would be just as conscientious, but apparently they are not.
The other issue I have is with the crickets. They are everywhere and are somehow getting into my apartment and I have to spray every month or more and even then I still end up sharing my apartment with them. I also had roaches for a short while, I think because my downstairs neighbors moved out, but that luckily only last a short while. YUCK! I’m a very clean person, who never leaves out food, so that was really gross.
Another reviewer said there were granite counter tops, not true, at least in my apartment. It’s just some kind of laminate, that looks like granite. I do like the tubs/​showers, as they are very big and easy to clean. I really like the layout of my apartment and large size with a great view of the pool. My apartment has a handy built-​in desk. There are built-​in selves in some apartments with window seats, which look really nice. There are built-​in shelves in the shower. I suggest buying a new shower head though, cause the ones they have are not great. Water pressure is OK and the water heaters are very large. My electric bill is rather high in the summer, for an apartment. I would think it’s even worse on the top floors. They have community events that usually involve free food. You can pay your rent online, which is handy if you forget and the office is closed, but there is a fee associated with the online payments. Pets are allowed, but I was told they really don’t do anything if you have a dog living next to you with separation anxiety.
Maintenance is also an issue. I don’t like maintenance coming into my apartment without covering their shoes and have asked on multiple occasions to make sure maintenance wears booties in my apartment, but many times when they show up, they don’t have them. I have to keep bags by the doors and I know that if I’m not home, they aren’t going to bother to put them on. Many times I’ve vacuumed the carpet before they’ve come and have found bootprints on the carpet. Also, if you have two baths they refuse to come to your apartment after hours to help you with a maintenance emergency, so whatever is wrong has to stay that way until well into the next day. While this place is very pretty, there are drawbacks that would keep me from living in another Picerne property.

FANTASTIC apartment complex! I’d give them 10 stars if I could.
Before moving to The Paramount, I searched in Anthem, Seven Hills, Green Valley Ranch, Spring Valley, and Summerlin. I checked crime statistics, am/​pm traffic to different locations, distance from the strip/​entertainment, food, and the airport. I checked everthing… because I’m crazy like that and my inner Type A personality seems to take over when apartment hunting. Take advantage of all of my hardwork and know THESE ARE – BY FAR – THE BEST APARTMENTS IN LAS VEGAS!
Funny thing is, I wasn’t going to move here because I wanted to save a little money. When I called and heard how expensive they were compared to the cheaper apartments across the street (Park Villas), I thought, «No thanks! I can live cheaper than that.» Fast forward to lease signing day – I had an appointment with a Park Villa leasing agent but she was «running late» and not even on the property. Nice. I decided to kill a little time and walk across the street to The Paramount. Lisa greeted me in their fantastic clubhouse and for some reason, two seconds later, I was taking a tour. After seeing the pool, fitness center, and being amazed by the model home I said, «I’ll take it!!» Lol. So much for saving money… The kitchen, tub, and location of the ready-​to-​move-​in apartment was perfect for me. #destiny.
Sorry Park Villas: Paramount, 1 – Park Villas, nil.
Anyway, I’ve been here for almost a year and I cannot think of one complaint. And, just so you know – that’s a miracle for me. :)
PROs:
1. Every unit has granite countertops, cherry cabinets, a huge garden tub, and a built-​in alarm system
2. The grounds are always well maintained
3. The ladies in the office are extremely friendly and memorize everybody’s name. They greet you by name whenever they see you – pretty impressive and an excellent form of customer service
4. It’s a quiet and clean community
5. The pool (s), fitness room, and clubhouse are nice. The fitness room could be bigger but eh. Oh well. At least there’s LifeFitness equipment so it isn’t crappy.
6. Maintenance is quick and friendly
7. Neighbors are friendly; most of them are young professionals… and some may be «Vegas professionals» due to the insane amount of luxury cars in the parking lot. Seriously, I’ve never seen so many BMW’s, Mercedes, and Lexus’ in an apartment parking lot.
8. It’s across the street from a park that’s full of walking trails, doggy play areas, and swings/​playgrounds for kids. The park is also nestled with benches, gazebo’s, and a softball field.
9. It’s less than 5mins from the airport and strip.
10. The clubhouse offers free food and coffee every morning.
CONs (…if I had to list some):
1. When I moved in, my apartment smelled horrible! I ignored it at first, thinking the apartment needed to be aired out. Wrong! I could tell the previous tenant had a dog and the carpet was inadequaty cleaned. I voiced my complaint with the leasing office and they arranged for an outside cleaning company to reclean my apartment. One problem: I had already completely moved in and was told I’d be responsible for moving my furniture for the carpet cleaning. Um, saaayyy whaaa??? Clearly, I was angry but all of that went away when they offered me a $ 100 visa gift card (for my troubles) and a super snazzy air freshner you can’t even find in stores. I love fragrances and, I guess, the Leasing Manager overheard me mention how great the club house smelled. Although the carpet issue had already been resolved, she offered to buy me my very own snazzy airfreshner for my apartment. EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!
2. Abnormally loud HVAC but you’ll get used to it.
3. You have to pay $ 25 for a fitness room key. Wth!!? I’m assuming you get it back – I wouldn’t know; I copied a friends key :) –but that’s a bit absurd.
If I weren’t moving back to CA, I’d definitely renew my lease. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR – RENT HERE! You won’t regret it.
***Move out update: I got most of my deposit back. If you clean your apartment – picture #2-#5 are my move out photos – you should too. The only thing they charged me for was my oven and tub/​shower, as I didn’t feel like scrubbing those.

Generally when you are buying anything at a premium rate, you pay the costs because you expect premium service but NO, not here. I am a business professional and the management here treats everyone like section 8 renters and will nickel and dime you any way they can. The leasing agent Lisa even waited for me to sign the lease before telling me renters insurance was required and a key to the dinky gym was $ 25. A very small issue so why try and hide it you may ask? Shady business and desperation to close the deal at all costs with no concern about their customers except to sign so you’re stuck. Then when you try to complain, they threaten to evict you and to ruin your credit. They claim they are luxurious but are too cheap to even have a credit card machine so a busy professional can conveniently pay their bill. They do not care about your time and they handle everyone coming in with suspicious eyes because so many situations have gotten out of hand from their unprofessional handling. I have NEVER in my life wrote a bad review about anyone until now. If I can keep one person from renting here at the exorbant price they charge especially in Las Vegas. I will be happy. Thank God I bought a house and I can get away from these people at paramount. And by the way, my mortgage cost with taxes/​insurance/​and HOA is cheaper then the rent at this place. Lastly, just to show how awful the management is here and because renters bail out of here so quick. They will try and stick you with a 60 day notice before you can move out. Test them and see what they do without you saying anything. You’ll see the character of these people that work there and don’t be fooled by any good reviews if any exist. All the people in the office live in the complex and they write their own reviews. I’m really disgusted. I also need to add one last thing. If you move in, which I pray that you do not but if you do. Expect «inspections» once or twice a month into your temporary home there from all sorts of people who schedule themselves to come in while you’re at work. God only knows what they do in your home while you’re not there. I am writing this even though I fear retaliation from the management here. I was going to wait until I moved out because I am afraid of retaliation from the employees here but I cannot wait that long in hopes that at least one less person does not go through the experience I am currently going through.

For $ 925 for a one-​bedroom, I’d expect a little better. HVAC is indeed very, very loud… electric applicances are cheap and ineffective, storage space is inadequete for even one person… I would just expect more when you pay as much as I do.
Facility is nice, pools are nice. staff seems to care… but I’d rather save a few bucks and stay across the street at Park Villas.

I REALLY LIKE IT HERE. the pools are pretty, the grass is nice for the dogs, and the landscaping is always pretty. BUT i live in apartment that has the LOUDEST AIR CONDITIONER EVER!!! When we first moved it they said it was a design flaw and we had already signed our lease! .
We have been dealing with it, but it doesnt stay cool in the apartment ., it sounds like a jet engine kicks on every 10 min. With it being summer this air conditioner is none stop. Im writting because If i would of heard the air before I moved it I WOULDNT OF MOVED IT.
