The Pooch Mobile is a Mobile Dog Wash Service.

We brush, check and clip nails, wash, check and clean ears and eyes, fully blow dry then brush again this is all done at the convenience of your house in our trailer.

The only hair trimming we do is very basic around face feet and back sanitary area we do not offer full hair cuts of any kind.

History

Established in 1991.

The Pooch Mobile was started in 1991 in Australia we are a international company washing up to 30,000 dogs per month in 6 countries.

Richard and his wife Annie moved to the US in 2005 bringing The Pooch Mobile to the dogs of Colorado.

In August 2012 they relocated to Henderson Nevada to bring they’re award winning service to the dogs of Las Vegas.

Richard has been washing dogs for 16 years and loves every minute of it.

Along with my wife Annie we have been part of The Pooch Mobile franchise for 18 years starting in Australia.

We were very fortunate to be able to move to the USA in 2005 to set The Pooch Mobile up.

After establishing The Pooch Mobile to be the dominant mobile dog wash service in Colorado we needed to expand so we recently relocated to Las Vegas to bring our award winning service to Nevada.

I have been washing dogs for 18 years and still love what I do, I get great enjoyment out of being greeted by my happy tail wagging friends that is why I am still washing dogs 18 years later.

Affordable, punctual, convenient, careful, friendly, honest, great conversation! Richard is the best. I have two tiny Poms who are very fragile, and I’ve had several terrible experiences with groomers in the past where my pups have been injured because they didn’t realize the level of care that needs to be taken with 5 pound puppies. NEVER with Mr. Ellmers! He was SO sweet, so gentle, loving – talking to them the whole time/​calming them down. One of my babies, Kodiak, has a really bad back. He was totally fine after his grooms with Richard. My other dog, Cheddar, has been losing all of her hair (never figuring out why after years of testing)…in an effort to not make her lose any more, he puts the water and dryer on low so she keeps as much as she still has left! She even looks fuzzy again after her time with him! AND he suggested since I’ve tried everything else with Cheddar’s hair loss, why not try an enzyme supplement to see if that would help. In a nutshell: great advice, great care of my fuzz babies, and he makes them beautiful again. Thank you! My whole fam can’t wait to see you again. ;)

I was looking for a more convenient way to groom/​wash my dog because we usually take her somewhere very far away from home. I looked to Unilocal to find somewhere new and I came across this business. They took good care of my miniature dachshund. She has very dry skin and whatever they used on her made her coat really shiny and the dry skin was gone. She also smelled really good! Very good job! I will continue to use this company for my dog.

Absolutely loved the pooch mobile, it’s so simple! I just called (same day) made the appointment, Rachel my dogs roomer came to my house, and in 1 hour she was finished, she did an amazing job, my dog is smelling so lovely, I definitely recommend this place, it’s so convenient, while you’re at home they are taking care of your furbaby and you can check up on your pup. RACHEL WAS AMAZING

I was very happy that I called them. Richard was on time and was ready earlier than the scheduled time. He had a great attitude and was really good with my Dog. I have a 67 pound, 2 year old German shepard. I would definitely recommend this service especially if you have a big dog.

Absolutely loved this company! I want to say her name was Rachel… came at a time great for us and took fantastic care of my large dogs. They had alot of fur and she washed and brushed them until they were beautiful! Great price; great service. I will definitely use them again!

everything all the other 5 star reviewers say is true ! Easy to reach, schedule and on time.
EXCELLENT with all 3 dogs ~ we have a Dobe rescue, Dobe/​Rott rescue a 6 year old Rott ~ they all responded to Richards calm and easy manner. He continually reassured them as he worked, trimmed overlong nails and bathed all three — they have never smelled better or looked as good and none of them were over stressed. (he even put lavender on our Stella to help calm her) Will definitely use again and recommend to everyone. Thank you Richard for your excellent job ;)

Me and my fiancé own an Akita, the first time we called we had an Australian man named Richard come out and groom him. He did such a great job! Our Akita didn’t shed for almost a month and looked like a handsome puppy again. I love this place and especially love Richard!

Just had an OUTSTANDING experience with Richard from The Pooch Mobile. Returned my call promptly, and was able to schedule service for my three dogs at a convenient time right away. Richard arrived promptly and did an amazing job on two crazy-​shedding Siberian Huskies and a thick coated mix dog.
He thoroughly explained the bathing process and we watched the entire service in the open-​air visibility trailer. The amount of fur he got off everyone was stunning! When they were finished, they were beautifully clean, dry, fresh-​smelling and happy!
He is very caring and patient when handling the dogs and does a great job. Will definitely use again!

What a fabulous service! I called and left a message with the answering service and Richard returned my call within the hour. I scheduled the appointment with Richard and he arrived on time and ready to go! His experience with dogs was very apparent when dealing with my two very quirky Basset Hounds. My 80-​pound male hates to get his nails done, but Richard made it very quick and non-​traumatic — thank you so much. They are clean, smell good, and best of all, they didn’t have to get in the car and leave home to sit around a doggy salon and wait their turn. THANK YOU RICHARD — from your newest «regular.»

I called Rachel with the pooch mobile because my huge yellow lab hates water. She came in the rain and on time. She got my big baby in the tub and smelling fresh and clean in no time and he is not an easy dog. Its been almost a week and he is still smelling great and I still haven’t had to vacuum the couches. I just became a regular customer and will be recommending her to everyone I know.

My black lab was shedding all over the house so I decided to check out a mobile dog wash for my two pups. I’m so excited after my dogs get washed every two weeks because I know they will smell great and all that loose hair is removed. The service is fast and my lab loves the warm water wash. He thinks he’s getting a massage! He doesn’t even mind the blow dryer. My smaller dog dislikes water but Rachel is quick and gentle so he can enjoy being clean afterwards. Overall an excellent service that I recommend to all my friends and family.

Finding a good dog groomer that actually loves dogs and know what they doing is hard to find. Richard is great and natural with dogs. He took his time and was gentle with my German Shepard that just have a hip replacement a year ago. Also he call me back up right away and was on time for my appointment. He also give me a curtesy call that his coming. All and all it was a great experience. We will definitely use his service again

Hands down the best grooming service in Vegas. Richard is a natural with dogs and truly loves and cares about each and everyone he encounters. The job is speedy, but thorough. I find myself talking with Richard for 30 mins+ after my dog is done, because his such a great and genuine guy. I highly recommend their services. I actually live in LA, but always wait to get my pup groomed until I visit my parents in Vegas.

Pooch Mobile has been a part of our dogs lives ever since Richard gave our pups a royal treatment! We have three dogs a German Shepherd and two Boerboels and Richard is always very patient and caring. Our dogs smell and feel 100% better after each wash with the Pooch Mobile!

I’m really happy that Unilocal helped me find this dog grooming business. There were only a couple reviews to help make my decision, but I decided to give it a try anyway. The previous reviews were spot on. Richard was a great guy and highly experienced with animals. We held a great conversation and he told me about all of his years of experience across United States and Australia (he’s Australian) doing this dog grooming.
Trust me when I say: you cannot put your dog in better hands than Richard. You might even start to question whether Richard loves your dog more than you do. He worked miracles with my dog. I always had trouble clipping her nails because it was always a really uncomfortable experience for her. I’m not lying when I say that my dog was yawning and wagging her tail when Richard was clipping AND filing her nails. Step aside Cesar Millan, A new dog whispers in town and his name is Richard.
Overall, the experience was very pleasurable and my dog smells like $ 1 million. Richard also came exactly at the time that he said he would and didn’t keep me waiting. What’s also nice is that he let me know that he will travel anywhere in town. I’m moving far from where I live now, which is pretty convenient to his current location, but I’m happy to know that he will be grooming my dog in the future no matter where I go (in Las Vegas /​Henderson).
