UYE – Mexi- Can You Brunch With Me? @ Michoacan + Board Games

Going on about 5 hours rest with alcohol levels running low I needed a good refill what’s a better way than by going to a UYE Sunday Brunch that served up AYCD margaritas with fellow Unilocal crew. We drank, we ate, we laughed, we cried (when our belly’s were hurting cause it was full and cold at the same time what a pain), we also played a bunch of board games and sang happy birthday with a mariachi band. Just another awesome UYE. Someone even sat at a table of non-​yelpers, awkward, I won’t say any name but she’s cool.
If you haven’t gone to Michoacan for their Sunday Brunch all you need to know is AYCD margaritas, well worth the money. The food was OK and we had to start double fisting drinks.

5* for an event with some of my favorite Unilocalers, at a place I really enjoyed. Even as a late arrival and a non-​meat eater, there was plenty of food to savor. Of course many laughs and I was surprised at the seemingly never ending flow of flavored, blended, on the rocks Margaritas (didn’t see anyone have Mimosas but they were part of the extremely reasonable $ 13.95 all inclusive brunch price) I did not taste any of the baked goods/​desserts.
The birthday serenade for Jieun, complete with tekillya shooter, churros and a candle was a great surprise! Suffice it to say, this group knows how to have a good time.
Games at Jade & Scott’s after was even more fun as we broke into teams for Scattergories and started to see the competitive Unilocalers emerge. Some had to leave but a group stayed and played Taboo and a great game: Apples to Apples which I really enjoyed.
Of course Jade made me a mixology dream with tea and I don’t know what, but it was purple and full of flavors. Then, the pugs came out to face rape us and ballerina dance.
The most fun I’ve had in a long time and my thanks again to Scott & Jade for their hospitality. Finally, I’d encourage any Unilocalers to attend a UYE: you meet great people and can make real friends while bonding over food, drink and laughter.
Unilocal 100 Challenge

Awesome deal and good times for sure. I didn’t know by shouting out Happy Birthday Jieun would turn into a mariachi band playing and singing happy birthday pancheta to her. So awesome I had to find them later since they took off and tip them, thank you to the server Kyle for paying attention.
At first Kyle was too busy that I went with an empty margarita for 15 mins. So I double fisted and ordered two margaritas, then I magically had three since I ordered from the manager as well. Then I had three more but I traded with some people. I had three plates of food but a lot more margaritas! David S. brought each table a plate of dessert, I love baked goods but today was all about the margaritas! Some of the margaritas were weak so I had to order more to make up for it! The margaritas I ordered were all on the rocks (with ice and not blended), and the flavors were peach, regular, strawberry, mango, and I had a lot of the midori.

Thank you everyone who made it out! I feel weird writing a review to my own UYE but I guess, thanks self for the idea to brunch, thanks Paolo for thinking of games.
We brunched at Michoacan’s Sunday brunch buffet (opening-​3pm) which is a steal at $ 13.95 for a serve yourself buffet AND is also all you can drink (sodas, horchata, juice, coffee, but also mimosas and margaritas — regular and various flavors like mango, midori, pineapple, peach, etc. etc), I feel like just the first round you get your moneys worth so I think that this buffet is a steal especially when you drink alcohol. I wasn’t drinking much because I have a gout issue and I can feel it coming in, but I took a small sip here and there and it was all good. Kudos to the various servers clearing it out, but our main one Kyle was awesome. I’ll give a detailed rundown of the food and service on their actual business.
After we went over to my house for board games! We played Scattergories as a huge group and then when a few people trickled down, the rest of us played Taboo and Apples to Apples. Easy going, lazy, fun way to spend a Sunday so thank you again!
Then for the super gangster (aka Angela H. only) we went to dinner.
