My Father used to say, «keep it simple, stupid.» I never took too kindly to those words, until a few years ago. If I had a dinner party, it had to have every favorite dish that went with the meal, plus each and every course. When I shopped and I do hate shopping, I had to equal the amount of gifts for everyone on my list. When I cleaned, it could never be quickly, it was deep or not at all. I was compulsive and a perfectionist. Well, I’ve finally learned to «keep it simple, stupid». One of those ways is shopping on line! I love it! No deciding which store and lugging packages and running to the car and back into other stores, no standing in line after scouting the entire store, to see what they have. A lot of online companies offer free to very small shipping charges. The convenience to me is priceless. I live in a neighborhood, where I do not have to worry about being home to sign for packages, so that is a huge plus! You can also have gifts sent directly to the recipients home, so no Post Office involved. Mr. Wiiliams started Williams Sonoma in Sonoma County, California, therefore the name. Williams Sonoma stores are usually inside of a mall and I hate malls! They charge very little for shipping and I have only had one problem and it was minimal. I had ordered some items for Easter, which took forever and when the package arrived it was missing half the order, because it was out of stock. Which then put me in a last minute bind of running out to fill those needs. They felt very badly and credited some of what I did receive and sent me a hefty gift certificate! I love getting their catalogs and even though I have everything that I need, I still enjoy looking through them and they do have some awesome recipes inside! Online you can view and download these recipes and be sure to check out their sale items! I have been watching for an immersion blender to go on sale, which will beat digging out the blender to dirty and deal with that back and forth mess. «I’m keeping it simple, because I am not so stupid!»
