Specialties
Our studio provides a venue in which you can feel confident that you’re exercising «smart,» under highly educated instruction. The studio is owned, and the staff is led by a physical therapist, Nuhar Jaleel. Nuhar is certified in Pilates and Gyrotonic exercise, and the staff of 19 instructors are ALL fully-certified in their respective exercise methods. The current studio was custom-built in 2007, but the business has been established since 2003. Both the Pilates and the Gyrotonic studio are fully-equipped. Group classes at the beginner and intermediate level are offered in Pilates, Gyrotonic exercise, Ashtanga Yoga, Nia, etc. Private and semi-private instruction is also available in Pilates and Gyrotonic exercise.
History
Established in 2003.
The studio has grown tremendously since 2003. We started out in a space that was about 400 square feet, with the owner teaching 12+ hour days. We started expanding our staff in 2005, and grew exponentially when we moved into our new, custom-built space in 2007. The staff is currently comprised of 19 instructors and one receptionist. We physically expanded again in 2009 with the addition of Gyrotonic exercise. We are the only fully-equipped studio in the Capital District for Gyrotonic exercise, and we renovated an upstairs space for the studio.

Nuhar J.
Business Owner
Nuhar got her physical therapy degree from Quinnipiac University. She worked primarily in pediatric settings while practicing PT, locally, and in southern California. Upon returning to the Capital District, she completed a comprehensive, 600-hour Pilates certification in New York under Romana Kryzanowska, Ton Voogt, and Michael Fritzke. Nuhar got certified in Gyrotonic exercise in 2009 with Authorized Master Trainer Cori Doetzer, and is certified to teach on the Cobra (Level 1 and 2), the Jumping Stretching Board, and the Leg Extension Unit. In her very little spare time, Nuhar loves to cook, and spend time with her family.
