Enjoyed this place a couple times for breakfast and pretty pleased. They are very clean — friendly service and lots of menu options. Portions are HUGE for a small price.

Went for lunch with my stepdad and was disappointed in the food. I thought the Greek salad was lame and wasn’t sure it was feta they put in – a staple of Greek salads. It also had olives with pits. I hate pits. I’m also allergic to chickpeas, these were in the salad but not listed on the menu. My stepdad got some chicken dish he wasn’t too impressed with. I got a gyro plate that wasn’t good either. The meat was so over cooked, parts of it were crunchy. I asked for the onions to be grilled, so they grilled the tomatoes too. Ugh. The service was friendly but they didn’t have enough servers. You would think two for the small restaurant would be fine but no, they were overworked for sure and not able to keep up with their tables. My opinion: if you like Mediterranean food, go somewhere else. There are plenty of better options in metro Detroit.

Tried for the first time today and I was pleasantly surprised! I wasn’t sure what to expect but both food and service were great. I had the chicken chipotle lawash wrap with the lemon rice soup. Personally, I would’ve liked a little more spice(I love spicy food!) but still, I was pleased nonetheless. Our waitress, Ashley, was extremely helpful and had a very bubbly personality. Everything was great, I would definitely stop back in the next time I’m on that side of town!

I have tried breakfast, lunches and dinner here. The food has always been very good. Pleasant wait staff and clean dining room. They give good size portions and it is easy to eat healthy here. I would recommend it anytime.

HIGHLYDISAPPOINTED! Had my mouth all set for an authentic gyro sandwich. What I received was a joke. I meant to check it before I left. I wished I could have gone back. But I did call and voice my concerns and issues. I’m a spoiled Chicago girl who knows what a good gyro is. Not a frozen meat, thrown on the griddle Coney Island gyro. I was so excited when a friend took me to Honey Tree(on Maple). Not sure if they’re individually owned but the one on Southfield Road will never see me again. This is not the first time my pick up has been sub-par! I should know something’s up when I go and there’s never anyone picking up or dining in. Gyro lover at heart! Pix to follow.

I have been here numerous times as this seems to be the only place I can get a proper takeout other than Olgas. It has been very good pretty much every time.

Everything was great! I’ve been there 3 times in the last 2 weeks and it was great service and hot food each time. The staff was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. They let me eat in peace without standing around waiting for me to raise my hand. The only issue I had was with my brother chicken tenders. They were a bit overcooked but everything else I’ve had has been delicious.

Visited this establishment on a Sunday morning as my husband and I were headed out for a day of running errands. We arrived around 11am and I was already pleased that we were able to be seated right away. Breakfast and brunch time on the weekends around the metro Detroit area is always a crap shoot. The restaurant has been updated and remodeled recently and is very clean. My husband and I were also THRILLED that there was only one TV in the place and it wasn’t within our view. No distractions. The service was great. I can’t remember our waitress’ name but she had the perfect amount of attentiveness. We ordered our food and they accommodated my substitutions on the their omelette selections very well. I’m somewhat of a Sally when it comes to eating out: «Put this on the side, but only if it comes with this, none of that, can I get this in place of that, with this?» Regardless, they were cool. The only part of the meal that was the slightest bit questionable was how long it took to get our food. Somewhat slow in that department. However, in a world where everyone is always rushing, it was nice to just take our time. When the food came it was delicious. My husband got the El Greco skillet and I got the Spinach omelette with pancakes instead of toast and hash browns. Everything was hot and prepared well. All in all it was a lovely experience at a fairly standard family style establishment. We will be back!

The chicken parm & spaghetti was great I recommend it to any one that goes to The Honey Grille in Lathrup Village, Mi. The chicken patty wasn’t just some small run of the mill patty either it was a huge seasoned patty with the right amount of cheese and sauce. You might look at the prices and be turned off but it’s a nice establishment and the inside is beautiful. This is a great new addition to Lathrup Village CHECKITOUT!

Came in for a late lunch. I had the spinach pie and salad combo, hubby had grilled cheese n bacon, pop had breakfast. Spinach pie was fresh and crust was crunchy and flaky. A bit bland, but better than most pie ivebgad in regular coneys. Greek salad was tasty and they didn’t skimp on ingredients, plenty of feta and garbanzos. Companions said their meals were pretty good as well. Coffee, wc one person raved about, was typical American diner: mediocre at best. I’d agree with another review they called this an Upscale Coney. Not great, but not bad either.

When I 1st walked n my eyes were treated to a modern décor of brown, beige, black n gold colors. There were a few flat screen tvs placed n various locations for customers to view. There was even relaxing jazz music playing thru out the restaurant, which I loved. My hubby n I dined here on a Wed around 4pm. When we were there the restaurant was basically empty, except for the staff n an occasional take-out customer. The prices are reasonable n there is a fair selection on the menu. I would say this is an upscale Coney Island(due to the décor n music). The staff was courteous n accommodating. However the food was lack –lustered along w/the drinks. As I meantioned earlier we were the only people n the restaurant yet they managed to get our orders wrong. My husband ordered chicken fajitas, but got steak ones. I ordered fettuccine Alfredo w/salmon n spinach. The salmon was moist n flaky cooked to perfection n well seasoned. But the Alfredo was bland n needed seasoning plus I barely had any spinach. I had to ask for Parmesan n I cut up tomatoes n peppers from my husbands dish n put it n my pasta. Which much improved the dish. Our drinks were horrible, it was like drinking colored water. My husband had cranberry juice n I had cranberry mixed w/sprite. There was no flavor n either of our drinks. When I mentioned this to the waiter, he took my drink n added more sprite but it still didn’t have fizz or flavor. So I just asked for water n y did we order an omelette w/pancakes to go. The omelet was made w/pork sausage instead of turkey(I DONOTEATPORK, it makes me sick). Unfortunately I didn’t check my order before we left, so I blame myself. Even though I wouldn’t recommend the food or beverages, Honeytree Grille is a nice place to sit n have a meeting or just chill due to the atmosphere. I would add the staff did try to fix the mistakes n our orders. However, u would do better going to Kerby or Leo Coney Island for an omelet n drinks. I wouldn’t waste my $$$ here, unless you give them explicit instructions on how to cook your food. N if u order takeout, CHECK, CHECK, CHECK your food b4 u leave. ;0(

We had no idea that this establishment was more of a diner style, but I am glad we stayed. The food, especially for the price point was sold. Everything we had, from the chili to the burger was very good.
