Got my nails done here with my four bridesmaids. Spent more a few hundred dollars. My gel nails came off in two days and when I called them I was face with a Horrible customer service. Never again.

Horrible Place!!! Not clean! Rude people! I walked in and like always… always empty!!! I told the whole nail salon what I wanted since everyone was listening because no other customers were there and they automatically told me «they don’t do that «(so rude) and when I told them I got my nails done here twice doing the same thing… And also told them exactly who did my nails before… They all rolled their eyes… So I walked out… This salon is soooo rude! Don’t even waste your money here…

This nail salon use to be good! Now they use cheap products and are not that clean either. Last time I got a gel pedi and mani and both started chipping off 2 days later. I told him I am going on vacation and he said gel would be best for it. I have had gel pedi and mani many times before and never experienced it peeling off. I decided to give them one more chance. I ended up with a male technician who barely spoke English. I told him I am very picky about my nails. I like the natural look. I was getting tips and acrylic for a wedding and needed it to be really thin acrylic so it would look more natural. While he was doing my nails I notice he was using way too much acrylic powder and it felt heavy on my nails. I asked if he could file it down more and he said he would. But it was thick and chunky and boxy. The nail shape was terrible. He took so long doing my nails that I did not have time to get them redone. After the wedding I went to another salon to remove them. The technicians were shocked how difficult it was to remove them. My nails starts to peel. I will never go back again. They use cheap quality products! Their nail polish does not last and they do not sanitize the tubs before the next customer uses it.

I am a happy camper at HNT Nails. The owner, Dan and his team are the best!!! While Mary normally provides services for me, I am pleased with the professional and creative work from everyone. This is a great place to come and relax after a long stressful day at work or just to stop and get a touch up.
The shop is clean and the seating is relaxating while being serviced.
A very pleasant place to come in the beautiful Laurel community!!!

When I say I had the worst experience EVER here…
So a girlfriend came to spend time with me because I just moved to Laurel and I had been here before a got a simple fill-​in loved it. So I recommended we go here. BIGGEST MISTAKE we walk in both wanting pedis and she want fill-​in I want full set BUT FIRST THE PEDIS
The lady who did my friends toes she was nice the lady who did mines really quiet didn’t even say hi to me so I don’t usually get pedis haven’t had one in over a year. But when I tell you there was no dead skin at all NONE!!! She was so busy watching what the lady do my friends toes and copying her every move she never scrubbed my foot and when I said something she says «your feet very clean you take good care» and don’t get me started on the paint job my 5 year old nephew could have did way better
On to my full set so she sits me at a table I see no license first of all then she just immediately starts figuring out the size she’s going to use and In the same instance puts a fake nail on. I stop her and ask are you going to cut my nails to even them out first she’s says «you suppose to ask to cut most people do not like cut» I say no your suppose to even them out and file them they are all different lengths she says «no 5 more to take off and cut for you» I brushed it off because I didn’t wanna make a scene.
So she puts them all on and ask what shape I show her a picture and tell her I want squoval she cuts off the pointy sides and does no more to the shape and cut my nail without asking how long I want them so I beyond angry and tell her I don’t like them she tells me she will fix them and says go wash when I come back the acrylic is stuck under my thumb and without trying to separate it from my skin she grabs the smallest head for the file and just sticks it in between stabbing me.
She makes the shape more square for 1 the asked me if I like I said no more round she then puts the nail file in my hand and told me show her when I asked for the manager they said she wasn’t there and will take 5 $ off I said not at all she stabbed me painted my feet ugly didn’t even the nail out nor file them told me do it myself and I came at 2 had to at work at 5 and it was 4:45 I’m never coming back PLEASE GO TO SKY NAILS

I usually don’t write reviews on businesses without giving them a second chance cause we all have to go through several hurdles to make us better. So I’ll let everyone reading this know why this place became my first Unilocal review. I went to this nail shop on Weds night to get a fill in, not regular but gel. Everything looked good that night even my man complimented my nails when I got home.
Now onto why I will never ever go back to this nail shop again in my life. I had the worst experience here with a «gel fill-​in.» The gel chipped after a day and a half. When I informed the manager or whomever claimed to be in charge I felt attitude in their tone when they spoke and kept looking at my nails. Half the shop employees came to look. I was calm. I told them I want each nail that chipped gel & polish removed. She came back with a response not delivered in an understanding tone. Her response was we won’t do every nail and this will not be done again, I’ll do for you this time. Next time not this way. I assume she was speaking of the way they did gel nails. So I replied with how my other nail shop puts gel on top of polish without problems. She just kept repeating herself about only doing the chipped nails and not all of them will be removed and touched up. I never got an apology, only a statement of she will fix the nails that messed up. My replied was well how about you all just removed the gel/​polish and I’ll polish my own nails. I dislike poor service and lack of consumer understanding. The nail tech was nice but since that shop altogether rubbed me wrong all I wanted was the gel/​polish off so I can get out of that establishment.
This review is not to discourage anyone from going to where/​whom they like. I’m simply stating an experience that led me to never spending my hard ear coins here ever. Quite frankly I feel I wasted my money. When I feel that way, I no longer am a consumer to that merchant.

I have been going here for 2 years. I mostly see Helen, but when she hasnt been available, everyone else has been great. I always get the deluxe pedicure with hot stone massage and paraffin wax and its worth it! For tbose that complain its not a spa… Obviously its not. Its a nail salon. But I have paid a lot of money for «spa» services and I can say HNT nails deluxe services are comparable and much more affordable. Just know, tips are cash only.

I’ve heard that this place is under new management. Therefore, i decided to come to get my nails & my toes done. The price is up a little bit, but it worth it. My gel manicure was last 13−14days. I love it. The new manager is very nice!!! I probably come back every 2 weeks for my nails & 3−4weeks for my toes :)))) Great job HNT :))

I am a licensed nail tech with 20 years of experience. Most of the time I do my own nails because I have not found a place that can match my expectations. I’ve decided to try as many nail salons in the DMV area as I can during my search to find one clean nail salon with techs that provide both consistently good nail and customer service. I have found that salons usually have one very good nail tech, sometimes the owner, but everything else is sub-​par. I’ve even found beautiful spas but the services provided are poorly executed, they use cheap products, or the techs do not apply products properly for lasting results. I’ve been to many salons and will review each of them but this is the first I am reviewing …
I happened to be leaving Laurel and planned to stop by Best Buy. I wanted a mani/​pedi and saw that this place was open and figured, let’s take a chance. I don’t remember the name of the tech that did my mani/​pedi but it was a male. The massage chairs at this place are great! However, one of my peeves is mani/​pedi water with nothing in it, just straight water. I couldn’t tell on the pedi water due to the blue color (felt like just water though) but my mani water was just that, WATER. No soap; nothing to soften the water, cuticles, just… water. We’ll come back to the manicure.
So the guy promises me a great service and immediately tries to up sell me on a spa pedicure. No thanks. He proceeds with my pedicure which was OK. He was light-​handed when it came to my cuticles (push back and trim) which wasn’t too bad but I could have handled a little more work. He did a pretty good job at removing dead skin on my heels which I appreciated. There were no glaring red flags with the pedi.
The manicure was a different story. As I said, he put my hands in water, no softener and filed my nails with a file way too rough (flag1). I will say he shaped my nails the way i like them but still, a good tech knows which grit to use on what type of nail (natural vs artificial).
Then he tried to push back my cuticles without cuticle softener. I stopped him and asked that he find softener and then push. He hastily drizzled some concoction on my fingers and barely pushed my cuticles back (flag2). He buffed my nails quickly and dabbed cuticle oil any which way but neatly all over my nails and told me to «WASH» (flag3). What did him in was the polish job. This guy polished my nails way too quickly between coats causing brush marks. I explained to him that the polish job was not good and he acted like he didn’t understand what I was saying.
I will not be going back to this place and I cannot recommend it.

What can I say it’s hit and miss. I found the second best nail tech of my life here and after he left I went to Kim who did the best pedi ever but as far as nail go, I am seriously picky. I’ve gone here for some pedis that my 9 year old could have done better, essentially a foot washing and a shaky polish job. They are fast and convenient but its a crap shoot, you just never know what you are going to get.
I give Kim 6 stars, no gurantees on the rest!

In short Bad Customer service! This was my second time coming here to get a gel manicure. The first time was awesome I was serviced by a tech named Tammy, who did a really good job. Nails came put surperb! Now on to today, received my 2^nd gel mani by Tammy again however the gel polish quailty was horrible!!! After 3 coats u could still see through the color straight to my nail! I expressed my concerns to the manager letting her know I had to be somewhere and couldnt stay another 30mins to get it done again and asked if I could come in tomorrow. First she looked over my nails and said she didn’t see anything wrong, than she looked again & said she could see about fixing 3 of the nails. I than expressed in calm and respectful tone i’m sorry but there are more than 3 nails that don’t look right. After debating a little including the tech coming up to co_​sign saying that it was the color I had choosen… I was at my witts end the manager than offers to fix it for 20 instead of 25, Really really! So inconclusion I paid my bill and will not patrinize them ever again!!!

Before I found my god sent nail tech, I happened to stop in this «spa» to see if they were familiar with gel manicures and the various brands. First, this is definitely not a spa! I walk in and tell them what I want. As I sat, I asked the gentleman what brands of gel manicures they carried. Before he could answer, this young Chick, presumably the daughter/​niece/​cousin of the nail guy tells out, «Let him start first before you complain!» That, my friends, was it for me. One of the main reasons why i don’t do Asian nail shops. You’re not going to talk to me any kind of way! What you won’t do is yell at a customer who simply asked a general question. I rolled out and didn’t look back. I’ve since found a great nail tech in Laurel, so save yourself a trip th this place!

I was just there getting a mani/​pedi and as I’m drying one of the nail techs makes a joke to the other techs: Quote: «you know it’s National Chicken Day, so all the black folks will be going crazy» to which the only other black patron and myself promptly responded with disbelief, saying «did she really just say that?» I gathered my stuff and left. I WILL NOT be returning and I suggest other «black folks» spend their dollars elsewhere!

I really like this place. It’s not just your typical nail salon. Sure it may be slightly more pricey, but they take care of their customers. They offer you something to drink, the place is clean and bright, the furnishings are new and well kept.
This has been the best place I’ve been to for the UV gel color nails with many brands to choose from. The application has always been precise — some other places I’ve tried out are just not as good.

Kim did my pedicure ($ 22), eyebrows ($ 8) and gel polish nails ($ 25). I never had the gel nails done before and I’m very pleased with them. She just applied the polish to my natural nails. It would of cost me $ 5 more for a manicure and $ 5 more if I wanted a french manicure.
Kim did a nice job and she really took her time with my service. Now, would I go back? Yes, but I won’t get the gel nail polish done again because it’s pretty pricey. I’m going to invest my money on buying a UV light and gelish polish (
) and do them myself because I will save a lot of money in the long run. But, I will go back to get my pedicure and eyebrows done here again.

They are a rip off don’t let them trick you! There are better salons around that do the same thing they do for a cheaper price! Y’all aren’t fooling anyone and I’m hip to your hustle! They charge $ 13 for a fill-​in and $ 12 for and design and polish on each nail (however you want it!!) Then if you crackle polish on your nails its an extra $ 5 on top of paying $ 12 for designs to begin with! I think they think people are crazy or stupid! Why would I pay an extra $ 5 for nail polish when I’m already paying $ 12 to get all of my nails designed? I hate when people try to rip you off!!!
Well I’m going to tell you all a secret… there’s a nail salon not even 5min away going more into laurel, off of rt 1, on the right hand side called Sky Nails! There designs and service us 100 times better than this crummy place! Dont waste your time stopping here keep driving to Sky Nails and I promise you’ll have a wonderful experience yet be mad at yourself for ever dealing with HNT nails! Smh

When I use to get my nails done here it was an okay experience. I would see Kim she did a good job but took way too long. A manicure and a deluxe pedicure shouldn’t take 2 and half hours. The overall quality of the work done was equal to the cost but I didn’t like having to spend a half day in a nail salon especially when I would make an appointment and she was running 25 mins behind. Not worth my time or $$.
