History

Established in 2013.

It has always been a dream of mine to have my own boxing gym. I hope I can now discover a boxing talent who I can train and take to the Olympics. That will be my second dream realized.

Captain of Nigerian Boxing Team for Barceloma Olympics. Canadian and two time World Boxing Champion. After retiring from my professional boxing career, I became Floyd Mayweather Jr.‘s, Oscar De Lahoya’s, Miguel Gonzales’ and Wilfredo Alvera’s sparring partners. From there I transitioned into personal training and fitness instruction.

Sorry Unilocal for updating several years later. I forgot I wrote a Unilocal review on this place. I gave this place 1 star and stopped going to this place for a couple of reasons:
1. More aerobic style of boxing. don’t get me wrong, it’s a great workout out and it will make you sweat… but I was hoping to learn more technique. (you have to pay more for that I guess)
2. Moses wanted to raise my fee because I didn’t have a credit card on file.
This place may be great for some people, but not what I was looking for at the time. I saw a lot of teenagers going there and I think that’s awesome. Great job keeping these kids off the street and busy.

I love love love this place! I’m three classes in and it’s never the same routine which encourages me to go back each week. The gym became too routine and I was never really motivated to go back consistently, this class helped me to become more motivated about my health. The trainer Moses is real cool too, he always has a positive attitude and even though you’re apart of a class it almost feels like personal training because he’s always walking around checking on you. Also the music he puts on is awesome and there’s always a boxing video playing in the background which is also motivating.

Moses is the BEST TRAINER in the SouthBay and the whole Westside!
Love the kick ass group classes this gym offers and tough, results-oriented personal training I get here.
I am not a boxer and not even athletic, but doing the boxing and kickboxing exercises has really transformed my life. My body is in the best shape ever, I lost 22.5 pounds in 10 weeks and that is thanks to the personal attention I got from the owner Moses.
I used to hate working out but Moses’ workouts are fun, high energy, and addictive.
They worked within my budget too and offered me an affordable package.
I LOVE THIS GYM!!!

First time ever taking a kickboxing /boxing class. A Groupon deal peaked my interest (20 classes for $ 85). I had no idea what to expect, but t I had a lot of nerves walking into the class. Moses immediately greets you with a warm welcome and smile. You fill out a quick waiver and he’ll provide you with the necessary gear to get started — gloves, for first timers only. You do start with warm up exercises (jump ropes, push-ups, jump squats, etc), followed by the core kickboxing /boxing routine, and a cool down (quick ab work and stretching). He’ll watch over you and provide the necessary coaching for you to get your form right. I’m super uncoordinated, but Moses was patience and worked with me to make sure that I was punching and kicking correctly. It’s a super high energy and fun class! Do not feel intimated to try it out!
Hint: Go buy a cheap pair of hand-wraps prior to the class. You’ll be less sore if you’re a newbie and it’s for hygienic purposes too.
