I love the way Kirsten does my hair… every time I leave, I get nothing but positive feedback on the way my hair looks! She’s fantastic, and I love the salon. If you’re looking for someone who truly understands color and how to cut, the blue dot is your place!

After trying and trying to like my cuts from the Blue Dot, I’ve realized the place isn’t for me. Maybe it was just my stylist(not Chrissy or Ames), but she never seemed to get what I was going for – even when I brought in pictures. Oh well. At least hair grows out!

What can I say about The Blue Dot Salon… it’s the only salon for me. If I ever move, I’ll need to come back every 8 or 9 weeks to get my hair done. Ames has been my hairdresser for more than a decade. She is equal parts hairdresser, magician and shrink. She keeps her technical skills sharp by staying on top of the latest developments in cut and color techniques, products and trends. It’s a casual, comfortable salon that showcases the work of local artists. Make an appointment, you won’t regret it.

I really wanted to like this place, but they are very judgmental. If you appear to be a“shy” or «quiet» person you will be labeled as such. What happened to going into a place and just getting a hair cut? Now you are labeled. The stylist did an awesome job. That’s the reason why I am giving the 3 stars, but I won’t be going back…

Chrissy rocks. Always gets the perfect color in my wife’s hair. Does a pretty damn good job on my hair too.

The first time I rolled into«the dot» I was rocking some wicked f*cked up hi-lights. The kind that contrast your 3 inches of outgrowth in a skanky fashion and make it look like you bought one of those kits and tried to use that funky plastic tool while save a few bucks. I didn’t. I also didn’t pay«home job» prices. However the fact remained the same… blond spattered on brown with no blending = traaaaashy. Enter: Chrissie. I can only attest to her magic because since she colored and cut my coif I have not needed to go anywhere else for my lock lovin. She also introduced me to a new option between highlights that has dramatically increased the health of my hair and my pocket book. The salon itself is full of hippy goddess artsy vibe on every level. Just my kind of place. That and the fact they typically rock cheesy 70’s music that makes me go all bobble-head style and start singing along. All the other goddess chick hair cuttery magicians seem to be equally amazing but I stick to what works, so far thats been Chrissie. She has also turned me onto an array of «hair crack»(namely Moroccan Oil). I almost feel my ends going into quivering withdrawal if i don’t give them their daily dose. In summation, for a feel good color/cut experience with great happy staff and products that are the equivalent of narcotics for your do, go to the Dot. Doubtful you’ll be disappointed.
