Best salon around! Rachel Y is the greatest. The salon is fun, trendy and had a wide stock of the latest hair care needs. The salon is reasonably priced and is client focused !

Brad has been cutting, coloring and styling my hair for YEARS. I went to someone else when I had moved to a new city once… NEVER AGAIN. He is my one and only perfect stylist! Brad has highlighted my hair to nearly blonde and taken it very dark. Cut it short and kept it gorgeous and styled while it’s been long. I’ve had bangs and not, just about anything you can think of. I always leave feeling fabulous. My hair is my «thing» (as proclaimed by friends and family) and I owe what isn’t genetics entirely to Brad!
I love his new salon, his staff is so friendly and talented. My hair takes close to 3 hours from start to finish, so I usually get to see a few other people come and go and Rachel’s clients always look fabulous, of course. I have a blast at Bzar, it super hip but still so comfortable to be there. This is a really high quality salon with incredibly well trained stylists, you’re paying for really great service and the latest techniques and trends, the prices are completely fair for the quality of work.
I’m not the only one who knows how amazing they are here, so you’ll need to schedule an appointment and their can be a lengthy wait, especially with Brad, but it is totally worth it. I schedule my appointments 3 out, so I’ve always got a space. They have a really reliable cancellation list also though, anytime I’ve forgotten to schedule and been put on the list I’ve gotten a call and been fit in within a reasonable amount of time, so don’t dispair!
They also have great products, I try to use mostly natural products that aren’t tested on animals and don’t contain parabens or sulfates and they have multiple lines that fit my needs, plus they have awesome sales on their products that they post on their facebook page.
Bzar also throws a pretty killer party every year, so that aint bad either!

Brad and Bzar Salon are the best.
I’ve gone to Brad for more than 10 years. He has worked with my hair from short to long, blonde to red to brunette. He keeps up to date on the latest techniques and trends, so I totally trust his ideas when I tell him I want to try something new. He also asks about your hair routine so he’s not giving you a cut or color that requires high maintenance if you’re a low-​maintenance kind of gal (like me).
He also ensures the rest of his team are receiving the latest training and are up to speed on the best products.
Bonus, he’s fun to talk to (especially if you share a mutual appreciation for Michael Jackson). :)

I’ve been seeing Brad for years and wouldn’t go anywhere else. I can go in feeling down and uninspired and always end up leaving feeling like a rock star. Great product lines, great stylists and a great downtown Lawrence location and vibe.
