History

Established in 2008.

Dr. Jeff began work as an orthodontist in 1991, joining his father, D. J. Thompson, at Thompson Orthodontics, a practice established by his uncle, H. E. Thompson, in 1947.

In 2008, Dr. Jeff founded Jeff Thompson Orthodontics, a practice fully committed to providing premier orthodontic services. Dr. Jeff is an associate professor at the UMKC Orthodontic Department and has served on numerous boards devoted to advances in orthodontic care. He is also a clinical advisor to companies pursuing development of new orthodontic products.

Jeffrey J. Thompson, DDS, MS, is a board-​certified orthodontist. He is a graduate of the University of Missouri Kansas City (UMKC) School of Dentistry, and earned a Master’s Degree at Washington University.
