ANDY OnCall

Thieves. They tried to charge me 145 for two screws and some wood glue to repair a cabinet. No replacement parts and the screws are already there. Other handy man services quoted 50 $ for the same job. Avoid this business they seek to take advantage of you. I’m glad I know and have visually inspected the damage otherwise I would have been gouged. Being that he was on site and I wanted to get this sorted out I even offered him 100 $ to do the job but he declined stating that 125 is the lowest he’d go. I called the manager to voice my concern and he simply told me about how great his handy man was and blah blah blah. Well you lost my business. Horrible customer service.
Update* a different handy man from a different company (not run and staffed by con artists) just came by and did it for 50. He said he felt bad about charging that much but that’s the minimum charge. I’d much rather give fifty dollars to an honest hard working man that these crooks. You should be ashamed of yourselves. What if someone tried to take advantage of your family like you did me?

I have used Andy OnCall in the past without problems, but something has happened to this business.
My husband and I called and made an appt for someone to come out and give us an estimate for replacing some rotten wood on the eaves of our house. We also asked for an estimate for painting the house. The worker said he couldn’t give my husband an estimate then and would have to call him back later that day with the estimates. Well, I’ve had Andy OnCall do numerous small jobs around our house over the years and NEVER once did the worker leave my house without giving me a written estimate, so I thought that was odd. Andy OnCall did NOT call my husband back with an estimate that day as promised. Two days passed with no word from them, so I called the Andy OnCall office. I got the voicemail, so I left a detailed message and asked them to please call me back with the estimates. THAT WAS TWO WEEKS AGO AND WE HAVE NOT HEARD A WORD FROM ANDY ONCALL!!! I’m left assuming that their business is so great that they don’t have to worry about customer service anymore. They obviously have no interest in earning MY money!
Five years ago, I would have recommended Andy OnCall to anyone and everyone, but after our latest experiences with them, I have to say STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS!
