Don Jacobs Honda – Service

Took Honda S2000 to have headlight replaced. Ultra expensive plus when I got the car back the radiator was leaking and had to be replaced (not by them). I had never had any problems with this before I took it to these guys for service. Never again.

I bought my car here forever ago and only come back here when I am getting something fixed from a recall. I do like this location because I can walk over to Coffee Times while I wait. The people here are friendly and helpful. They also give out free apples.
The car salesman that sold me my first car has sent me birthday and christmas cards since 2004. Very impressive and nice. He also randomly called me to check on me and the car after the purchase until his recent retirement. He will be missed.

I’ve been taking my Honda here since I moved to Lexington January 2013 and I had the best service advisor Cord Hobgood… I was a little nervous and sad when Cord went over to the body shop, but then I got Kenny Adams. I was skeptical at first as any woman getting service would be, but I’m super excited to have a service advisor that looks out for me and my vehicle. I feel safe in it that all maintenance is done to perfection, he returns my calls in a timely manner and I can ask him anything about my car without feeling like it’s gonna be used against me to create a high service bill/​visit. I went to him after a local company told me I needed a bunch of things replaced in order to give me an alignment. I took the car, report, and estimate to Kenny and it was bogus. I didn’t need all that stuff. He gets my car in and out and just this morning I received yet another superb level of customer service from Kenny and I’m back to rolling safely and smoothly. So DEFINITELY take your vehicle to Kenny over at Don Jacobs Honda service… and they have amazing snacks and drinks and free WiFi in the waiting area :-)

Would give 0 if I could. They replaced a sensor in my vehicle which then malfunctioned the next day. When I tried to get them to fix it they were going to charge me again. When I explained I was just there, they stated they had no way of knowing if that sensor was the one they fixed. My receipt expressly stated it was. I had to argue with them, stand my ground, and refuse to pay before their manager acted like he was doing me a solid by not charging me. Will never go back there.

Who likes to take their car for service? As I thought.
Due for my regular service interval, I did not want to drive all the way to Frankfort where I purchased my car (and waste time and gas), so I made an appointment at DJ. Chuck was very professional and courteous. I was in-​and-​out in an hour. Also, I liked the detailed info sheet attached to my invoice, indicating everything that had been done and how my car’s individual «health» stacked up. What more can you ask for?

I wouldn’t even recommend this place to my ex-​wife. It’s that bad!
They worked on my Honda, years ago .They replaced the crankshaft, under warrantee, which broke because of a manufacturing defect. They didn’t put in the correct bearings, and ruined the engine — and they wouldn’t make it right.
Another time, I went in for a quick oil change — they told me 20 minutes…
At 45 minutes I went around the corner and peeked through the window they used to have — the Mechanic was sitting on the hood of my car smoking a cigarrette!
The first time I went there was to buy a car. They wouldn’t tell me how much the car cost, or even a price range — only «What do you want your payments to be?» I finally went elsewhere and bought 2.
