Good service but really bad food. Stuffed mushrooms were cold and the Mac and cheese we ordered for the little one was awful. Even the chip dip was blend and had no taste. Even for hotel restaurant this was bad!

The good: the food, the desert, our server, the ambiance of the room. The bad: inappropriate employee conversation by the door to the kitchen The rundown: so I know what you are thinking, a restaurant at a hotel, this can’t be that great, but let me tell you this is a hidden gem here in Lex. The fried green tomatoes were breaded perfectly and still slightly firm when they came out, they were amazing. Their filet was tender and flavorful, the sauce, mushrooms, and onions that come one it were all amazing. The crowned jewel of this place though was the Kentucky butter cake! Wow! It is one of the most delicious things you may ever eat. It is served hot, like very hot so wait a sec or you might burn your tongue. This soft, fluffy cake is swimming in a pool of a caramel, butterscotch, vanilla, deliciousness. The taste of this is unlike anything you can try anywhere else. The restaurant makes you forget you are in a hotel. The room is that of a nice steak house with Victorian looking furniture. This is definitely not what you expect to be in a hotel. The impression: delicious, well prepared food and one of the best deserts you will ever eat. Our server had been there a long time and was extremely attentive and fast with service while maintaining a very friendly demeanor. The only bad thing that happened was a slightly inappropriate conversation by the kitchen door by toe members of the wait staff. All and all this place is wonderful and will be frequented by me, if only for the butter cake!

We came here for the lunch buffet which my Dad insists is usually really good with a great selection of carved meat. However today we were not warned that they were only serving their cold sandwich and soup buffet. The buffet consisted of a weak salad bar, lunch meat(roast beef, pastrami, and turkey) and two kinds of average at best soups. The price was only a dollar or two less than their full lunch buffet and not worth the money. On top of our sub par lunch the service was horrible. It will be a long time until we return.

Outstanding. Everyone ordered the Cowboy Ribeye but me… I ordered the salmon. We all thought the food was fantastic. Shrimp cocktail was huge and meaty, and the hummus was also tasty. Nice and strong full drinks and reasonably priced. Would eat here again.

Went there on Christmas day, restaurant was maybe 20% filled — which was surprising. Atmosphere was steak-house elegance, very nice, but just off the hotel lobby. I had the Salmon on Cedar. It was just a tad past perfection, but still flaked off. the maple glase on the salmon was very nice. GF and I shared the Crème Brûlée, very good Crème Brûlée
