Service was awful. The guy didnt even bother looking at me or greeting me. We checked into room 256. We immediately can smell the moldy damp smell from the room, we proceed to just turn on the ac and check for anything that we dont want crawling on us. We found pne under the sink, but we were so tired that we just dismissed and got into bed. Then to top it off the sheets smelt like just fowl. I called down for another room and he gave my room 150 and didnt even apologize. I got the key and went straight to the room, walked to open the door, and to my surprise it was open already with one of the bed messy like someone slept in it already. I got scared and left right away. I should have listened to the other reviewers. I have a photo of the receipt that shows time, date and me checking out with my return.

I needed pet friendly and at 11:30 pm and after 10 hours of driving I needed a room and sleep. The price was reasonable, the pet at no charge and an available room. Would I recommend it? No. The room felt damp, the security lock on my door was broken and for the first time in my life I pulled the covers back, put on my glasses and checked for bedbugs. There were none, thankfully. The building and room are tired. The light switch at the door did not turn any light on, but I have a yippy dog for security and I’m ready for sleep.

Made advanced reservations for this location as we were traveling with a small dog. We were given a ground level room in the rear of complex. I doubt it was a newly renovated room as described when we selected this motel. It smelled of cigarette smoke upon entering the room. From 9:00 pm to 2:30 am we had the unpleasant experience of other guests gathering outside our door drinking, smoking, loud conversation, loud idling vehicles, and late night grilling. You can here showering from adjoining rooms. If you like that sort of thing, this is the place to stay. You are guaranteed an unsettling nights sleep.

I recently found myself rooming by myself in Lexington for the Run The Bluegrass half marathon. Since I was flying solo I decided to find the most affordable hotel around since it was just a one night stay. I have to admit that I’ve always held the belief that RRI was a low-quality, inferior hotel chain. Maybe that was true at one point but I was very pleased with my stay. My room on a Friday night cost around $ 58 after taxes. The lobby was very small but had a few chairs and a tv and the attendant at the front desk was very polite. The rooms are on the outside of the building. That may be a plus if you are parking and unpacking lots of stuff or a minus if your safety preferences are to go inside the hotel to access your room. Upon entering I was pretty surprised. The room was clean and decorated stylishly. It wasn’t decadent but had simple, modern décor which was pleasing and made me feel welcomed. It certainly wasn’t outdated or drab by any means. To save space there wasn’t a closet but there was an area to hang coats and clothes in the corner of the room. Next to that was an ironing board propped up against the wall and an iron resting atop the shelving area. There was a safety deposit box next to the nightstand in case you had valuables. There was a small college dorm-sized refrigerator. There was a small one-serving size coffee maker. And to top it off there was a 32″ flat screen tv on top of the very large dresser. The hotel also offers free wifi. There was a phone next to the bed and the lighting for the room was adequate. The bathroom was actually pretty spacious and was also very clean. I had several different-sized towels prepared for me and complimentary soap and shampoo. There was a small shelf for your toiletries which was not quite big enough for everything I had. The bed was comfortable and soft. Not overly plush but very relaxing. My sleep that night was peaceful. It was quiet and I awoke excited and energized for my half marathon the next morning. Again, I was surprised at the quality of the room and the amenities for the price I paid especially considering it was a weekend rate. I would definitely stay at RRI again and mention this to anyone who is traveling and trying to save some money on a hotel. If you don’t need fancy schmancy and a breakfast bar and are looking for an affordable place to crash I would suggest looking at any Red Roof Inns in the area.

We were in town to work the local comic book convention, and this was the closest hotel we could find that still had rooms. Though we weren’t looking to specifically stay here, it was well accommodated, had free wifi that was relatively fast, and there was always a fresh pot of coffee in the lobby. Even though we had a few problems with our key cards deactivating, we were treated to friendly and non-problematic service when we needed to receive new ones. This hotel was excellent from its value, and I would definitely stay there again!

I often stay at Red Roof Inn because it is inexpensive and they allow pets free. They have easy cancellation and easy booking. This Red Roof Inn was just outside of Lexington. It was a very convenient location and very visible from the highway. The room was clean and air conditioned. There was decent wifi strength and there was free HBO. There was also hot water. I’m not sure what else you need. I suppose I could have used a hair dryer. But, only to quickly dry some wet clothing because it rained outside. Some conditioner would have been nice too. But, I’m a dude and often times just use bar soap to wash my hair. So I don’t really care. Yeah, it has everything you need. I didn’t see any bed bugs either! Bonus! I didn’t use their concierge service or spa this time, nor did I use their lap pool.

A hotel needs to fulfill just the basics for me, since I don’t ever intend to spend any significant time in them. This did the job alright. It was clean, the location was convenient(easy access to highway), not too loud, had a/c and decent strength wifi, and most importantly, did not charge extra for my puppies. One complaint I had was that there was no hairdryer in the room.
