Stopped in for dinner on our road trip, great spot! My husband and I had a burger, they were great. Our daughter asked if she could get breakfast and the chef said yes, I guess not all chefs will so beware and call ahead if this is what your looking for. Service was really good as well.

The night I ended up here the band was really really good! There was a $ 5 cover and I’m not sure who they were but they sang John Cougar just like he was on stage. The people however were what you might expect from a hole in the wall country bar. Not really my speed per say. I was literally ran over two times by the bouncers pushing and forcing out two different sets of people. Not once did anyone say they were sorry or excuse me ect. The outside patio was filled with about 35 people smoking and people making out who needed to get a room as well as the physical bar minus the smokers. If you like to drink and dance and be rowdy then this may be your cup of tea but it’s not for me.

Great food, especially the burgers! Burgers are some of the best I have ever had, which is saying a lot. Chili, salads, and fries are really good, too. Great service two visits in a row by Miranda, who does a great job and has a terrific attitude :-)

Wow!!! Delicious lunch. We stopped here because we saw the reviews on Unilocal. We just had sandwiches and fries, but they were amazing. Everything was fresh and fixed exactly as we ordered it. Super quick service and very clean. Highly recommend to any and all in and around Lexington.

Amazing food and interiors! Service is GREAT! Pork ribeye steak is AMAZING! Great catfish and tomato basil soup! The place is split into two sides one with a bar with girls in daisy dukes and the other is a sandwich type place with more casual dining still very good!

Hot brown the size of the state has so much cheese on it you could build another cow to milk and then make more cheese for it. The live music was awesome, the beers were big and cold, the little patio was great.(Though I wish it had been a little warmer.) Great place to stop in for some brew, some grub and to shoot the $hi+ with friends. Nothing fancy but nothing wrong. Give it a go.

This place was an excellent stop off the highway for a real meal. Ate by myself in the restaurant bar. The waitress was covering the whole restaurant side, which wasn’t super busy. In spite of being by herself, she was super attentive and I never sat wishing she would come back by. I had a petite sirloin with baked potato and salad. The salad was a typical side salad but the steak was good. Plenty of beer and drink choices to please everyone. There was a live band on the bar side that I could occasionally hear and it sounded good. I would definitely stop here again.

This place was the tops. The bar has a great welcoming feel and super friendly staff, shout out to Gayla who was simply the best. We spent the weekend at the hotel next door and we were in here a lot! Experienced afternoons with college football fever, great live music and dance band starting at the excellent hour of 7PM, breakfast with a Bloody, and Saturday evening we experienced the restaurant side as well. The restaurant service could have been better, but the food is fine. And fast! The bar is beautifully decorated, dark wood, low lighting, plenty to remind you that you’re in horse country AND Wildcat country. There’s a good number of TVs but it’s not obnoxious, and-this is so important-no ‘sports bar’ feel. Bar also has Keno available. In fact I won $ 44 playing it. You have to buy and cash your ticket from the bartender. The setup is really ingenious. The restaurant, which also had a small bar, is completely separate from the bar, so you have a choice depending on what mood you’re in or who’s in your party. The menu is available on both sides, though, so we opted to breakfast at the bar that Saturday morning. The bar transforms into a real feel-good dance club on Friday and Saturday nights. Drink prices went up, too, but not outrageous. The $ 5 cover was well worth it. Bartenders were on the spot to serve, and a cocktail waitress was going around with shots on offer. Our hotel next door left a bit to be desired, but I’d stay there again in a heartbeat so we could go back to Horseshoes!

Stopped on way south. Party of 6. We had a cheeseburger, club sandwich, chili, chicken noodle soup, chicken wings, pizza, and beef tips over rice. All were delicious served piping hot and we had a great server. We would recommend this place to anyone.

We happened upon this place during a road trip. The food was great, but the restrooms were not family-friendly and both needed immediate attention.

This bar/restaurant is really great! I went to meet a friend on a Saturday night. There was a $ 5.00 cover but a really good band playing that night. The place was packed at 9 pm and parking took a little bit to find. This bar is next to the Days Inn off Broadway Rd right near the Interstate. So when your looking for it, look for the hotel first because that is what will catch your eye first. I had a few drinks. The liquor is a little overpriced but they carried a large selection of beer & liquor. I asked for Bourbon and they had lots of this spirit. Currently I’ve been into honey bourbons or whiskeys. I found a really sweet one that I could sip on. The Tennesee Honey Whiskey. Horsehoes carried this along with lots of others. The band was great! Very easy & fun to dance to. There was a mix of fast & slow music that played. By the end of the night I was drinking Kentucky Ale, a local beer that had so much flavor! I loved it. All in all, I had a great time at this bar. The servers were very friendly & helpful. Plus attentive when you walked up to the bar. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gone to a bar & the servers ignore you like you are not there or make you wait for over 5 minutes. That was not the case at this bar. I hope you visit Horseshoes on the weekend or maybe even during the week. You will have a great time. :-) It’s a gem of a bar/restaurant.

Good food, but worst service I’ve had in years. My husband, son, and I stopped here on our way to Tennessee. We wanted a sit-down lunch. There was one server, which sounds rough for her, but at the time there was only one other table and 2 guys at the bar being waited on. Every time she walked by she seemed as if she wanted to emphasize just how harried this workload was for her — lots of huffs and puffs and making the motion of wiping sweat from her brow. I asked for a salad that was described as being tossed in ranch dressing, and I asked if I could have the ranch on the side. She told me the salad was already made and pre-tossed, so the dressing was already on it. She did offer to try to chop up some fresh lettuce for a new salad, but I didn’t want to add to our wait(we’d been there a while before our order was taken). Well lo and behold-/as we sat there I saw her pour the dressing over the salad and toss it just before serving it – so why couldn’t I have my dressing on the side. My husband’s Sprite was merely soda water, which in itself isn’t a big deal– just ask for another one – except the server never stopped by to ask how things were. I went to the register to let her know. She saw me. Then she proceeded to ignore me as she passed me by to take plates to the other table. Each time she clearly saw me but said not one word – not even an «I’ll be right with you,» So on her way by the 3rd time to get more plates I said, «excuse me.» She looked annoyed that I had the audacity to interrupt her. «I’m trying to get plates to that table.» I told her about the sprite, but at that point my husband was finished eating, so I let her know we were ready for our check and to take the sprite off the bill. Even if the place had been packed a good attitude and a smile would have gone a long way. We are very understanding people, but the sour mood and making us feel as if it was too much to simply check on our table really annoyed us. We travel this route for family occasionally, and we’ll be sure not to eat here. I will say the chili was good, the salad was so-so, the chicken quesadilla was good, and the grilled cheese was okay– no matter how good the food was it wasn’t worth putting up with the service.
