Lincoln’s premier Birkenstock retailer since 1975, Footloose & Fancy has been providing footwear and accessories with comfort and style. Lincolnites haven’t been coming to Footloose and Fancy for just a great pair of shoes, they come for the experience to find the perfect fit. We pride ourselves on a lost tradition of sit and fit which allows our staff to help each customer receive personal attention and ensuring a comfortable fit and experience.

In 2012, Footloose & Fancy introduced lifestyle apparel at THREADS downtown at 12^th & P. Offering high-​quality outdoor lifestyle apparel, accessories and footwear to cover you from head to toe making you ready for work, the gym or play.

Business Owner

Opening in 1975, Footloose and Fancy quickly became known as Lincoln’s source for the funky, ultra-​comfortable German footwear made by Birkenstock.

Footloose and Fancy co-​owner, Jane Stricker, was hired in 1995. Stricker and her husband Matt purchased the store in 2002, from original owners, Jim and Marla McCabe.

Today, Footloose and Fancy has grown from just its original location at 12^th and P St. to include its second location at 70^th and Pioneers Blvd.
