Lazlo’s In the Haymarket

Paid $ 22 for ribeye that tasted like a $ 5 Walmart steak. Beer was pretty good though.

I have always enjoyed lazlos as a local resident and restaurant. Have been a loyal customer for multiple years. Great beer, and great atmosphere. But my last four Dinners have left me disappointed and unimpressed. The wait staff is always helpful and have great service, but time after time the food is cold and seems like something I would have had better luck heating up at home with leftovers. I am someone that will give multiple chances to the local places, but after this much it’s hard to find reason to come back. With the added options In the haymarket these days you better get it figure out lazlos. We want the old you back.

Went there Saturday and we both had Ruben Sandwiches with Sweet potato fries. Food was excellent. Service was a little slow for a slow Saturday afternoon. My wife only ate half so asked for a take home box. Perfect for lunch at work! Only we FORGOT the box. We called them 30 minutes later and asked about picking it up. Person on phone very disinterested, said they always throw boxes away and didn’t even check. Very rude, didn’t apologize. We will NEVER GO BACK! They don’t deserve their customers!

Service can be slow but it is so worth the wait for their food! It’s absolutely incredible!

Great service and good food. I had the grilled salmon salad and they didn’t overlook it — a bonus– but my salad had so much avocado dressing I’m pretty sure it took away anything healthy I might have obtained from consuming the salad. My husband liked the burger and my daughter the grilled chicken sandwich.

Midweek around 4pm. About 10 people having a late lunch. Good atmosphere. nice beer selection. Food was good. Big, open friendly. I’ll be back next time in town.

Ate here back in the Spring while on business in Lincoln.
Cool restaurant in a very cool area called Haymarket. Lots of eating choices in this area!
This place was recommended so I checked it out. I can honestly say, the food was just so so. I had an Omaha steak that was no better than what I could get at Outback. It was good but not what I expected with all of the hype surrounding Omaha Steaks in the area.
In my opinion the best thing about this place is the beer! The 3^rd Stone (I think that is what I had) was very good. I got a small flight of beers and while they were all good, this was the best one. The atmosphere was also very nice. Kind of trendy. Lots of good looking folks drinking and eating.
The wait staff was very good and answered all of my questions.
I probably will not go back to this place since there are so many other choices in the area and I was not a fan of the steak. Again, not a bad steak but I guess I had Omaha Steaks built up in my mind to be a life changing experience. It was not…

We have never had a negative experience at Lazlo’s. Those few times we have had a mix up or something wrong with our food they fix it immediately and comp all or part of our meal. Always impressed with their service. My favorite thing on the menu is the grilled salmon, second place goes to the voodoo chicken. Husband loves the french dip and also the fish and chips. The beer batter onion rings are great as well. Love it!

Easily one of the best places in town. Food is generally freshly prepared in house and the service is great. They brew their own beer and have a great menu. You get free beer bread, which they are a little stingy on, it is awesome bread. I don’t think we’ve had any bad meals here, a good place for a family, date, or event. Prices are on point for the quality.

Stopped for lunch after our first visit to a local Irish pub that didn’t wait on us.
We knew we should have gone here originally. Greeters at the door were friendly and they seated us quickly. Wait staff was right on top of things throughout lunch. They quickly took our drink orders while we looked over the menu.
Our food was great and so was the wait staff. No issues and a great experience.

We were walking around trying to find a place, and this place seemed buzzing and full, a good sign.
I asked the waitress for a unique recommendation me she said Lavosh. It’s like a very thin crust pizza. I got tomato bacon chicken and mushrooms. It was outstanding. I’m a big guy and I couldn’t finish it
My coworkers got steaks which were also good. The color was a little rarer than expected so keep that in mind
Our biggest regret was getting an appetizer because the meal portions were huge!
Great service and atmosphere

My father and I came here for dinner. I ordered the Prime Rib and my dad got the filet mignon.
I don’t have much else to say besides it was delicious, service was great, décor was roomy and it’s in a great location. Meat was perfectly cooked and the mashed potatoes were amazing. My dad also got a beer and really enjoyed it as well (He can’t remember which one it was, sorry!)

I’m just passing through Lincoln on my way to California. One of my good friends lives in Lincoln and takes me to this place called Lazlo’s. She suggested the steaks since Nebraska is known for it. I get the ribeye Omaha steak.
Probably one of the better steaks I’ve had in the states in a long time… The quality of the beef was amazing and seasoned well. They also make their own beer which was pretty tasty as well. I had the Chaco Canyon Gold.
The only reason I didn’t give this place a five star is because my steak was cooked unevenly, other than that, I would come back.

This was the only the 3^rd time we had eaten here. I would recommend one try the «happy hour» where appetizers and many drinks are discounted. We, two couples, ate lunch. Two of us had the very thin and crispy, but quite large, lavosh, each choosing different toppings. One had the Reuben with apples, and one had a burger with a very large order of french fries. The appetizers we had were ½ order of onion rings (4 very large rings with excellent coating) and the chicken-​filled egg rolls with a tangy raspberry dipping sauce. The lavosh was excellent; the Reuben good, if not particularly unique; the burger good; and the appetizers outstanding.
We did not try the craft beers, since it was lunch; but I think making the happy-​hour schedule (3 — 6 p.m.) would be worth the experience, both in value and taste.

What a wonderful evening in Lincoln, stopped by Lazlos in the Haymarket. I couldn’t pass up an awesome Nebraska steak!!! Ordered the NY strip, wow! A delicious dinner paired with fresh green beans as a side.
I’d definitely recommend them as a Steakhouse! Wah!

Really enjoyed this place. We had dinner on a busy night and the staff was still calm, collected and very friendly. I had the best caesar salad of my life. Finally, someone knows how to make it the right way!
Their Omaha steaks were cooked to perfection. Grab the family and give ‘em a try. Everything is made from scratch and their menu has a decent variety.

The original — won’t go much into the review as it seems to be a «love it or leave it» type of place but the staff was wonderful even though it was a packed Saturday night and this was a fun stop for the weekend.
Having been to the West O version, I would DEFINITELY say this location is better.

Lazlos is great for pub food and the incredible microbrewery (Third Stone Brown and LunaSea highly recommended). My group visited in the late afternoon so the restaurant wasn’t too busy. Nachos were strange: chips and the dip were served separately. The onion rings are fantastic: fluffy and highly seasoned with salt and pepper. I suggest ordering a half order (serves 2) as these are rather large onion rings!

Love Lazlo’s! I always have to get the micro burgers with sweet potato fries as a meal even though they are appetizers! Too amazing to not get!

They have a great drink menu and great house beers!!!
Great location! However parking is a challenge on weekends and especially on football game days you won’t get near this place !!!
Overall great! Love to come here with friends and grab some local grub!

Great place to have a beer and food before or after a football game.
Selection of beer is great and so is the quality. Service is quick and responsive. Big bar and bigger dining area!
They also have a late night menu for after the game and the food was excellent. Highly recommended. Enjoy it.
