We ordered a patty melt, and the meat was aweful. No flavor or spicing to it. They did offer a free desert as compensation, though.

My husband had a cake made for my birthday that was awesome. Looked exactly like a leather Michael Kors purse — AND it was delicious!

Nothing to write home about. Biscuits were below mediocre and tasted like they were old. Its important you put love into your food because if you don’t, it taste like a casino owned breakfast joint ridden with cigarette smoke and over eager gamblers! Will not go back to eat there!

Late last night, we were just looking for some good food! Breakfast for dinner sounded amazing and what better place to go then somewhere that has left a lasting impression? I have been here enough that I think Thunder Café deserves a great review from me… I’m very picky on how my eggs are cooked(over medium, not snotty), how the sausage links(extra crispy) are cooked if I get them… they are always so wonderful to me when I come in. Asia was my server last night. She got us waters(noticing we brought our alcohol from the casino in with us.) We got a few minutes to decide on what we were having– 2 All American breakfast, mine-my 3 eggs over medium, crispy sausage links, hashbrowns, and for am extra $.50, I got the biscuits & gravy. The 2nd All American breakfast was scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, crispy sausage and white toast. It didn’t take long at all, our food was out quickly! We did send back the sausage to have it cooked a little longer… I like it crispy! Everything was great! Asia checked on us the perfect amount of times! We paid out, took the biscuits & gravy home!

Hungry hungry… This is the perfect place for late night snackies if your hungry inside the casino. Not sure if they are open 24 hrs or just only open 24 hrs on the weekends. I had visit this café twice in one month and i got a good experience each time. Service Just from yesterdays late night snacky the server was so energetic and was very generous with all the condiments we needed. She was ahead of the game and just brought everything to the table. Came back so often to check up on use and topping off all our drink glasses. Her tip was a big one, i ended up tipping 30% extra. FOOD Chicken quesidilla — i had one of those foodie cravings and end up getting this order. The presentation was colorful and appetizing. There was a big slab of guacamole and sour cream. The cheese was extra cheesy and steaming hot melted with the tortilla. A sprinkle of tabasco on the quesidilla really gave it a kick. A favorite of all time is their slab of prime rib. Love the medium rare slice paired with mash, and fresh veggies. With extra ajus juice please. The meat is tender and they give you a big portion for only 18 bucks i believe. Paired well with a glass of house red wine. Also the american breakfast platter is great here. who doesn’t like an american style breakfast with bacon, sausages, eggs, and hash brown with some toast. Overall i prefer this place over the food court. Sometimes i come here later where the buffet is closed so i come to this spot instead for the convenience. Great place for a quick snackie in the middle of winning some money. Thanks for reading and good luck with your winnings, and just share some with me if you hit something big. :)

Great customer service. I ordered lunch to take up to the hotel room. Pastrami sandwich: meat was pretty good although slightly dry… Better than I expected for a diner. The bread was griddled with butter to make the edges crunchy. Potato salad: standard, not bad, not a wow. Poached eggs: I paid $ 3 for two poached eggs on the side. One yolk was out of the white but they were appropriately cooked to «easy» as ordered. Overall, better than I expected based on the reviews.

This place has grown on me after several more visits. Super convenient stop for quick food, but with better options and quality than what’s offered in the food court. Surprised more people don’t pay the extra few bucks for takeout from here. That’s what I’ve done the last few times here. Have had both the patty melt and the pastrami reuben and both hit the spot after a long day. The patty melt had good flavor, wasn’t overly salty and cooked perfectly. On the contrary, the reuben was a little too salty, but not expecting a masterpiece for a $ 9-$ 10 sandwich/fries takeout order. Even better, they serve potatoes in the portions they should be served. The side of fries is ridiculously generous every single time, as it should be. Service is fantastic here. No complaints whatsoever on that front. Comfortable booths if you want to dine in and great options for late night takeout to carry up the elevator to your room. It’s a place that gets overlooked in this huge casino, but it’s a place that needs to be here.

My absolute go-to for late night dining(especially when you want to avoid fast food). When there isn’t an event going on at the casino, you can have a nice, quiet dinner at a reasonable price. They’re open 24hrs and serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner anytime of the day. Keep an eye out for their weekly specials — you’re sure to find a great deal!

Okay food with such a Long Long wait. meh. We came here Late one night and onLy a few tabLes were actuaLLy occupied. They have a reaLLy big menu so there was a Lot for me to take in and decide on what i wanted to order. The gentLeman who was our server was very patient and offered to answer any questions i had. I was anticipating to order the prime rib but i was toLd they possibLy couLd be out. wompwompwomp. At this point, im starving so i didnt even care for him to go and check. We ended up ordering: –Steak Salad(medium rare) –QuesadiLLa $ 8.99 and an added $ 7 for steak!!! –Burger It seemed Like a Lifetime had passed and stiLL no food. We fLagged another worker and asked if our food was just about done. She was reaLLy nice so that was a perk. Our food comes out and my steak for my steak saLad is overcooked. The quesadiLLa with steak was skimped on meat– factoring that we were paying $ 16 bucks for that! The burger was the onLy thing that didn’t make us pause and contempLate why we even came in here to eat. I might come back. but then again i might not.

After a horrible experience at High Steaks restaurant, a fun R. Kelly concert, and drinking at the Mingle Bar; we were starving! We wondered over to Thunder Café because the lines at all the other places were ridiculously long and we enjoyed our food at the café before. Luckily they have a countertop which you can place an order to-go instead of dine which turned out to be very convenient on this busy night. Hubby was starving so I ordered him the Bacon Lovers Burger which consists of 2 burger patties wrapped in bacon, caramelized onions, chipotle bacon aioli, jack cheese, lettuce, and tomato on a ciabatta bun with a side of fries. And sadly I can’t eat late night like I use to so I ordered the Wonton Soup. Yes wonton soup LOL, the great thing about the Thunder Café is the menu is huge; items ranging from Soup, Pizza, Pasta, Gourmet Burgers, Sandwiches, Breakfast, Steaks, Seafood, Salads, etc. I think this maybe one of the most diverse menus I have ever seen. This menu is perfect for late night eating after drinking and gambling! We grabbed our food(after a pretty long wait) and caught our shuttle. When we arrived to the hotel room, we quickly opened up our containers; to my Hubby’s delight this burger was enormous!!! Cooked perfectly(medium), tasted wonder, and scented our room with delicious burger smells. Oh my soup was good too.. .but I did have to take a bite of this burger. Hubby could not finish his meal, but of course heated it up for breakfast LOL! Thunder Café is a good choice for Thunder Valley late night eats, and that chef who cooked that burger deserves a kiss!

Starving!!! Glad this place is open 24⁄7. There was 5 of us and was seated right away. Server was very nice and attentive. One of my friends ordered a Blue Thunder, I guess he wanted to get turnt up on a Monday! Drinks came and he was disappointed. His drink taste like a sprite with blue food coloring. I guess there was any alcohol. Our food took forever to come out. Didn’t not know what was the hold up. There was barely anybody in the café. Finally our food arrives. Everyone dug into their food. We inhaled all of it! My steak was cooked to perfection and I was in meat heaven with each bite. Everyone else seem happy with their food as well. Yes definitely a good place to eat if you don’t like the food court at the casino. Cheaper than High Steaks and better than Fatburger!

After having a wonderful day in the casino, we came in for dinner this Sunday evening… We met the hostess, No wait at all, and got seated to a booth. Our server was Dorothy(short hair), very nice lady, good customer service, and checked on us, refilled our drinks promptly. We decided on an appetizer of Potato Skins, which were fresh and tasty! You get 5 halves, with a side of Ranch and a side of Sour cream. Toppings were cheese, bacon, green onions, and diced tomatoes! Yummy, I would like to order these again! For dinner, I ordered the«Bo Jackson’s 34 Reserve» medium Rare. It is the Monthly special for October 2015, a 10 ounce New York steak, topped with a Red Wine mushroom sauce. They let me substitute the Baked Potato for Rice Pilaf, and also it came with Seasonal vegetables. The guy that brought out our food was energetic and friendly, came back with extra napkins and Sriracha sauce for me :) It didn’t take long for the food at all and my steak dinner looked lovely! I already knew beforehand it was a fatty type of beef, it was cooked perfectly medium Rare and it tasted delicious. Whoever worked the grill tonight, did an excellent job!!! I liked the Red Wine mushroom sauce too. Overall, it was a very satisfying dinner, the Rice Pilaf and yellow/green zucchinis were great. I am glad I tried the«Bo Jackson’s 34 Reserve», been wanting to try it since I saw it on the weekly menu specials a week ago when we came in for lunch. Best part about eating at Thunder Valley is using our comps and discount %, much appreciated. Thank you again to our nice server, dinner was a pleasant experience!

This is where I go to eat whenever I’m in the casino. The salt and pepper calamari is my favorite! The food is always good whether I order breakfast or dinner. Our server was also nice and attentive.

Oh boy where do I begin? There’s no doubt this Café is still in business because the casino supports it. We don’t live far from full casino and we’ve heard nothing but how amazing the food is at the casino! True I didn’t read specifically that thunder café was the go-to-place but I have heard from a it of folks that has the dining that we must I’ll try. So I did, what a mistake! The waitress had as much personality as an ant and I don’t even want to guess what the IQ is. Super sweet and cute but not the sharpest tool in the shed and absolutely could not follow the simple as requests. Simple request like breakfast scrambled eggs hashbrowns bacon on the seperate plate please and English muffin. Eggs and potatoes were both cold, bacon sitting right on top of the potatoes, English muffin also called the butter wouldn’t melt. Second request was a bowl of the wonton soup with shrimp. The soup came out warm but the wontons were cold and hard. Send that back to be what one would guess was a simple warm up session thinking perhaps they had a microwave. Guess not as I had slowly eaten the cold breakfast and was just beside myself waiting to leave when the soup finally came out. It was hot, very hot like soup should be. But they forgot the shrimp. Goodness! We were not able to ask her for a fill up on water and ice tea because she dropped off all her food and she got out of there as quick as she could. She came back to deliver the check we letter know that the shrimp was not included in the second go-round of the soup. She smiled, nodded her head and said oh my gosh they forgot that too. I wanted to say it’s your responsibility so no need to throw the kitchen staff under the bus. I wanted to ask her if it was the chefs responsibility to make sure that our waters and ice tea was re filled. Never again. It was the worst of Roseville. Maybe the steak house or other places are goo but no way would I waste my time and money trying it. Gross! Save yourself time and money — go else where. Roseville and Lincoln are filled with amazing dining. Don’t be fooled by paid advertising being the best.

Thunder Café we have been here quite often. Most of the time for dessert and most of the time during the summer. me and my wife would come to thunder valley casino occasionally and watch cover bands mostly during the weekends and most of the time in summer season. When we don’t watch the bands at the main stage, we either go to the food court or go here at the café … Most of the time we come here, we have dessert and/or breakfast(late night breakfast). The desserts are pretty good and the the host /waiter-waitresses are friendly, like any other days though this place can get busy and the waiting can be long. All in all, I can complain and the price is not so bad.

Just happened to come across this place today as it is located inside Thunder Valley Casino. We wanted to purchase concert tickets in person to see the location of the seating as it was confusing online plus you don’t have to pay the extra service charges when you buy at the Casino. I decided to spontaneously have lunch here and thank goodness my HB was up to it as he had been in pain for the past twenty-four hours. The prices weren’t pricey but average for a restaurant. I was going to have a salad but instead ordered the egg white frittata with avocado and other veggies included. The only veggie that stood out was mushroom and pepper. It was decent tasting not oily at all but I started to get full quickly as I had a donut earlier in the day plus a fufu coffee. It also came with fruit and two large pieces of sourdough toast. I ate half of my frittata and one piece of toast with my fruit. My HB had the corned beef sandwich not toasted and sausage bean soup. He drank his small order of soup and half of the sandwich. He said everything tasted yummy. Our waitress Kelly was really on point. It was so nice that she was perfect that I made sure to get her name at the very end of our meal. We didn’t have to ask for anything as she was an amazing mind reader. Those kinds of waiters/waitresses are a godsend and we were really blessed today! Especially having eaten here and reading their past inconsistent reviews after the fact!!! We prolly will be back as we saw a dish that looked like it was TDF! Something that had tons of gravy on it. I had taken tons of pics of all the desserts in the cases that I know I have to hit this place just for that!!! Shouldn’t be a problem as we have two concerts to look forward to this September! Maybe we should just come back for the live bands that they have Friday and/or Saturday nights? I just know we will be back!!! Can’t wait!!! Love it!!!

They have absolutely divine deserts! And I was told that they make them fresh on the spot everyday… my hubby and I ordered 1 Tiramisu to share since we had a filling dinner prior. It was spectacular! Judging by the desert I’d come back to try their food as well. I docked 3 stars for the treatment we received by the hostess. After we purchased our Tiramisu to go we decided to be spontaneous and change it to eating in at the café. We would probably have ordered other items and although the café was half empty the hostess did not allow us to sit since we already purchased a desert as a «to go»…We were thrown off and felt a little awkward at first but made our way to the cafeteria area to enjoy our desert and ended up buying a few green teas from panda express. 2 stars as both my husband and I loved the tiramisu but sometimes service leaves behind a greater after taste!

It’s been a minute since I last came here. Probably last time for sure. Service was par. No personality. My philly was dry but whatever what did I truly expect tho. But the hubby ordered a medium steak. 1st attempt– BURNT, cooked to a crisp. She took forever to come check how everything was once I flagged her down. My food is cold by this point. 2nd attempt– RAW, shit still had a heart beat. They did comp it in the end, but wtf? Come on guys, get it together!!! I’m here spending money at your establishment a medium steak and nice customer service shouldn’t be that hard.
