I have to apologize for my delayed review. I have to say this is one of the best experiences with a pest control company I’ve had.
I had a swarm of ants in my kitchen about a week before Thanksgiving. I tried ant baits but they kept coming. I finally broke down and called Apple Tree Pest Control and Bill was able to come out promptly! He left me some baits after spraying the exterior and warned me, «leave the baits and let the ants feast and leave them alone». He warned me it wouldn’t be easy but that they would take it back to the colony and they would be all gone in a few days. Darn if he wasn’t right! This guy know his stuff and I would recommend him highly.

It’s a shame to see unhappy posts, so I wanted to share our experience. We’ve been contracted with Apple Tree for almost 3 years and have always been happy. He’s knowledgeable, in our experience dependable, and has gone the extra mile– at no cost– when we needed additional services (such as a problem in our garage). He offers reasonable pricing (much less than his competitors) and doesn’t aggressively try to up sell us into monthly service (as we experienced with other local companies).
The only thing I would change is his reminder system. The postcards only have 90% accuracy of reaching you, and a text or email would be much more efficient (not to mention less expensive on his end). He is a little old school in that way, but for the price– I don’t think you can beat his service in the Livermore city limits.

After using William in the past and having a good experience I decided to call on him again. I found a dropping in my living room. I called him for help. He told me to text him a photo of the dropping I found. I did. He text me back the next day saying he got the picture 4 times (on accident, my iPhone kept giving me a message failed warning) and it was definitely a rat dropping. Ok great. We know the problem. I texted him back «ok, now what do we do «and here it has been four days and no response. I got the impression he doesn’t want my repeat business by him brushing me off. Not great business ethic if you ask me.
I ended up calling a competitor in the area. The technician showed up at my house, on time, the very next day. That is what I call service.

We have a rodent problem in the back yard. William called me right back and told me that the county would handle these issues and put me in contact with the appropriate agency and gave me some strategies in dealing with the county. Gotta love that. If I ever need pest services in my home, I know who I am going to call.

Called William and he was out within one day to spray for bugs. He was very informative and let us know that bugs are out in full force looking for water…(aren’t we all… ha). Anyways, after spraying haven’t had any problems and have seen a tremendous difference. Love that if we see any bugs, we can call and this company will be out to treat again.

William at Apple Tree Pest Control is wonderful. He is extremely knowledgeable and excellent at explaining not only his process but finding out why a pet free home would be plagued with fleas. He always arrived within the window of time he gave me which I appreciate. Thank you!

I’ve used Apple Tree Pest Control probably 3−4x over the past 4+ years. William is always able to come out same day, which is much appreciated. Just had him out last week to spray the exterior for ants after finding them in our kitchen. The problem went away immediately. I finally signed up for routine service with him 4x a year. Thanks, William, for always providing great service!

Can’t get better than William for pest control; he is thorough, beyond knowledgable, always on time, and his pricing is as good as it gets.
Our initial call to him was regarding a rodent problem, but we also just had him out to spray for spiders as I saw a few black widows in our back yard and garage area.
He’s a bit ‘old school’, which is exactly the reason why I like him and want to give him our business. I would never go with a company who agressively solicits mid afternoon at my doorstep.
William did a great job of explaining to me what our pest problem was, why it’s happening, and how to eliminate it for good. Glad I found our pest control guru!

We’ve been using Apple Tree for about 4 years in East Dublin with quarterly treatments around our home perimeter. I foolishly thought we could manage any ant/​spider issues ourselves when we moved to the area. We learned that eventually the critters will infiltrate your house and do so quickly and aggressively!
We picked William’s company after reading Unilocal reviews and have been happy with his professionalism, responsiveness, and reliability. I called him on Tuesday to let him know we had seen a couple large wolf spiders in our garage and he came by on Thursday to honor his guarantee by respraying around our house.
If you are considering regular insect control, look into Apple Tree.

So summer here in the Tri Valley has arrived. Searing heat. Maybe not quite Vegas or Phoenix, but pretty dang hot by my standards. I try to spend a much time in the air conditioned confines of my home. And you know what? It seems as these ants have the same idea. It was a coincidence that a Terminix rep stopped by the house. But i felt pressured and didnt care about their sales tactics.
The next day, its like the ants were mocking me. They came in droves. Eating the tuna juice that i forgot to clean up. There were more ants in my home than at a WNBA game. After noticing an AppleTree truck outside my neighbor’s home the other week, I turned to trusty Unilocal for reviews of the place, and turns out it was pretty good. I give William a call, and he seemed very knowledgable and offered a $ 90 per quarter maintenance package. Terminix was $ 99 per quarter, but had such horrible reviews in my area.
What’s great about AppleTree is William is the owner/​operator, so he really takes pride in his work. If he didn’t, then there goes his customers. Give this guy a call, my neighbor already did, and so will my other neighbors. Once, the ants from my place figure out they can’t get in.

So far so good. Same day service, gave me a good thorough walk around of all the spots where a rodent could enter my home (and we found the likely spot). I didn’t feel pushed to go with his services, that being said I opted to go for the trapping, and then after a few weeks knowing I’m all clear I’ll seal up the holes. I’ll likely use William for pest control (bugs). Overall pleased with Apple Tree so far… like that they’re local as well.

William was great! There has been construction going on across the freeway from where I live and I think it’s caused some recently evicted bugs to come find refuge at my residence. Sorry bugs, but I have NO VACANCY! I called William and he was able to come within an hour to check out my situation. Ten minutes later he was treating the outside of my house and the bugs are getting the point that they are not welcome here! William was very kind, courteous and promised to come back at no charge if in a few days if things are still a problem. I have already told the neighbors about William and I am pretty sure I’ll be seeing him around the block.

I NEVER write Unilocal reviews but I absolutely had to write a review about William at Apple Tree Pest Control! Here are all the reasons why this was one of the best customer service experiences I’ve ever had:
1) Not only was he prompt, he was early
2) He finished the job quickly yet thoroughly, professionally and competently
3) He took all the time we needed to not only answer ALL of our many questions but also to go above and beyond those answers with extra information, grace and patience
4) He actually knew the answer to every question I had from 40 years of experience!

Now THIS is the type of guy who you want doing business in your town! Been doing business 40 years, and is clearly someone who doesn’t want to build an empire, but wants to do solid, reputable work in the community. Highly suggested.
He knew my neighborhood and the pest patterns and was able to treat appropriately. All the time, he kept mentioning his guarantee which is how I knew he took pride in his work.
This isn’t someone who will give you a flowery sales pitch when you call. You will leave a message, he will call you back, and will quickly try to help you identify the problem without making you feel like you’re getting a bill of goods. THIS is the way I like to do business.

We used William for over five years in our home in Livermore with great results. When we moved to Dublin and started seeing ants, William came out and took care of it. Every once in a while there will be an infestation around the neighborhood, and William comes right out and makes sure it’s properly taken care of. We’ve had seven years of great service and I would highly recommend Apple Tree Pest Control.

William has been servicing my house for 2 years now. He does what he says he is going to do. He is professional and has been in the business a very long time. He has very fair pricing. I like to support local businesses and he is in the tri valley area.

William is a flake! He came by and promised 4 weekly visits to tackle our roof rats but took the money and has never returned nor bothered to call us back. We’ve left him multiple messages. Stay away!

William is great. I Highly recommend him. He’s not an overly gregarious person (maybe even a little shy), but pleasant and professional. He takes his job seriously and is very dedicated to getting rid of the problem. He’s extremely knowledgeable about pests, their habits, and how to get rid of them. I have had a very tough time getting rid of some rodents and he has been very dedicated to trying all ways to get rid of them.

Just had the unfortunate pleasure of having them over to help me out. From the voicemail left, to the home visit,
completely rude and dismissive. He constantly said «I can’t treat something that doesn’t exist.» He told us to go to another company several times. Very disappointing and I’m starting to believe the other reviews. I’m sure they will reply with an attempt to minimize our review, but bottom line is that I wouldn’t recommend them to anybody. You just can’t treat people like this in this day of age with online reviews.
Based on previous reviews seems like if they want to be nice and professional they can be… just hope you don’t call them on a day they choose otherwise.

Apple Tree is as good as the reviews indicate. Good work at a good price. Needed help with an ant infestation. He showed up when he said he would, walked me through what he would do and described why the ants do what they do. He pointed out an exterior duct/​vent that had been pulled back and said it was likely a racoon, possum, etc. was making their home beneath our house. Checked under the house the other day and sure enough there was a possum. I’d recommend William and will call him again.
