History

Established in 2000.

Inspired by two brothers who wanted to bring a small slice of Chico to their new home town, the Alehouse provides an upbeat, social atmosphere while fostering a strong sense of community. It has been said that you may walk in the door not knowing anyone but you are sure to walk out the door with a few more friends.

A lot has happened since we opened in 2000. After a tremendous amount of community support, the Alehouse successfully transitioned to their new larger location in April of 2010. This has allowed them to better serve their guests. Now home to the largest publicly displayed beer can collection, housing over 6000 cans, the décor has changed but the feeling has not. A marriage, two kids and two dogs later these brothers continue to have the same vision for their business; provide quality food and beverages for a fair price, and treat everyone who walks in the door like they’re family.

As you look around the Alehouse you will undoubtedly notice the stunning woodwork and incredi
