This second review is strictly for the pizza. It really hit the spot. The toppings I ordered were chicken tikka, qeema(ground beef), & gyros. All 3 were delicious. The dough is really soft. Also each pizza comes with a free 2 liter drink. Some negatives: I had ordered a half chicken tikka & half pepperoni pizza. They took my phone number upon ordering but never called me to tell me that they were out of pepperoni. Instead, I found out when I arrived to pick it up that they had decided on their own without consulting me to top the whole thing with chicken. It’s a good thing that I was fine with it. It really bothered me that they made a decision about changing my order without even calling me. It also took a little longer than the 30 mins they had told me.

Truly a whole in the wall type joint and kinda dirty, but the food here is delicious! You can’t go wrong with the pizza, biryani or boti kabob! I recommend doing carry out rather than dine in.

I’ll be straight forward on this, this place is dirty and has no taste. I use to come here in the early 2005ish whenever i drove up to Chicago. When this use to be the only few halal restaurant in burbs, that was not in Devon. Now fast forward to 10 years later, you have so many to choose from, I would not pick this one at all. I have not step foot in this place since 2009 and don’t plan too anymore.

The place is dirty, as other reviewers claim. The bathroom was gross and the door is messed up so I almost got locked in. That would’ve been a nightmare. Official name is «Desi Grill and Pizza». Who would ever get pizza here? I can’t knock it until I’ve tried it but I’m knocking it anyways. I ordered the BIHARIKABOB which is marinated beef served with a pita, cucumber, lettuce and some«secret» sauce. The Pita may be the best pita I’ve ever eaten. It was crunchy and buttery but we’re not coming here for just a pita, lets face it. Didn’t enjoy the BIHARIKABOB very much, even with the amazing pita. The beef just isn’t very good. Not high on this place in the least but my bill was 9.35 and he only made me pay 9 so we can at least say they’re nice people.

Very dirty place. Looks like they never this place clean. I am wondering how the city of Lombard allow them to server food in this dirty environment. I will not go back to this dirty place. It’s kind of Cabi hang out place.

They have delicious grill food! U should definitely try there chapli kabab, chicken boti roll n the chicken tandoori pizza. It is only good for take out. MAke sure u order over the phone because they take a while to make you food. Also the place needs to redecorate bc it looks tacky

Yeah the service in other reviews is pretty dismal but the food in this place is pretty stellar. I like how they’ve turned making naan in to a side pizza gig. Unfortunately their naan tastes more like pizza instead of naan. Butter chicken was great, just spicy enough and the sauce was silky smooth.

I think this place is not a 3 star. It has pretty good food. Good chicken briyani and chicken paratha. Also good chicken boti. Had to wait a little to long for my food but Good food overall.

Indo-Paki is not really my food but Gyros is. The gyros burger is very good along with he pizza. They have extensive catering for the local large Indian community and owner is a cool guy. Good to see four strong independent non-corporate eateries on this stretch of Roosevelt road near where I work and eat daily.

This is probably the best place to order Indian/Pakistani food in the west subburb. The food is amazing, and very delicious. I had their different type of foods and all was delicious. The only problem with this place is the wait. Just call in and place your order. Usually if they say pick up in 15 mins, go there in 20 – 25 mins. Not really a sitting joint but the food is amazing.

This place has the really good meats especially in the west burbs. Sure the wait is long and can get a bit ridiculous at times but just call in your order, wait and take your time to pick up your food, as they are a family run business. But when you get back be sure to reheat the food a bit as their food is best when served piping hot. Stick with the meat plates(i’ve had their chili chicken, boti chicken, chicken tikka, and butter chicken) and stay away from the pizza and their naan needs alot more work. But man their meats are so tender and delicious and so flavorful, its worth the wait.

I think this place is awesome. The food was carefully prepared and really delicious. If you are a wussy baby who is put off by lack of ambiance or need more than the basic amenities such as plastic forks, don’t bother visiting; more terrific food for me.

Ok so from all the reviews it’s hard for the the new person to decide whether to go there or not. Let me tell you from my experience I’ve been going to this place for about five years and I’ve never had a single bad experience. Their service can be a little slow sometimes because they do a lot of catering. It’s not the most amazing place to sit but the food is worth every minute you are there. It’s a family-based restaurant, they’re hard-working and honest and their food is priced really really well. They have news specials from winter(I love how they give you free chicken corn soup with every purchase, it feels like your mom’s home) to summer and during ramadan and lunchboxes. Two things that I must eat in this restaurant are chili chicken and bihari kabab. They have a large menu and I would suggest try anything every time. I like how they have mineral water available at no cost. Their lunch boxes are huge they give you so much food that it’s almost for two people. One last thing I must add I love the owners wife, she’s the most sweetest person I’ve met. She will go out of her way to give you the extra service and if there something particular in food that you like. I would say try this place next time you are in burbs it’s better than any restaurant in this area.

That is true its hard to find on the Roosevelt road. i visit this place when i don’t want to eat Indian buffet in lunch. Call before 15 mins to this place if you are planning to visit here, so that every thing would be ready at the time you reach. basic interiors and sitting. menu and price are not that awesome but its value of money. Good for casual dinning.
