Hobby Lobby

Definitely one of my favorite stores for nik naks.
We decorated our movie room with antique theater wall hangings… Concession sign over the kitchen pass through, antique edit sign next to the door, etc…
Prices are very reasonable, and you cannot beat the selection!

I like this place.
I enjoy just walking up and down the aisles and looking what I don’t need.
Big selection, big sales and do not forget to bring your 40% coupon.
It is just relaxing for me. You need it? They got it.

I love this place because you can find almost anything and it’s priced right. Most of the time the customer service is good but this is one of those NOT GOOD! I bought some felt from the craft section and walked over to the fabric department to see if I could have my piece cut in half. Now this would have taken 1 second and no hassle. Instead I was told by the unfriendly fabric lady we don’t do that here but there are scissors over there. Of Course new in a box. I was not going to buy scissors for I had some at home but she was not friendly or apologetic at all. I just walked away. I will still shop here but will avoid that section. The girl in framing is much nicer and so are the cashiers.

It’s funny how an individual can change your opinion of a store. for example this afternoon I really liked hobby lobby because I had a sweet person help me. This evening I don’t like hobby lobby so much because I had two people who were rood and very unhelpful — this is in Lombard ILLINOiSE

This is your crafting super store… plus some!
It’s been a few years since I’ve been to a Hobby Lobby. I had some time to kill, and I sure did spend it well in this store. I came in a few days after the new year and all Christmas stuff was 90% off. They were putting up Valentine’s Day stuff, and all Spring items were 40% off which is good because it IS right around the corner! You can really go impulse shopping crazy in here… I did control myself though and only spent about $ 8 on two items. In addition to craft items they have frames, throw rugs, candles, wedding supplies galore, garden stuff, party supplies, and really… practically anything! Everything is reasonably priced here too.

Nice location, lots of items. I always seem to do a fair amount of damage in this store. Staff does not go out of the way to be helpful, but are very helpful when I have needed things.

Wow! Talk about customer service. I’ve been calling multiple stores looking to match an item. «You’ll need to come in and see» was the common answer without even listening to my question. I called the Lombard Hobby Lobby and was connected with Scott. He listened, suggested two options that sounded similar. He set some aside for me to look at. Scott was there when I came in, got the items right away. Not quite the match but he suggested some alternatives and called another hobby lobby for their stock.
So nice to go to a big store and be treated like a needed customer.

I deal mostly with their framing department, having framed several large photos with them and also used their dry mounting services. In general they are always helpful, informative and do a good job, some more than others. A gentleman named Damien is my favorite. I have always been satisfied with the final product & I recommend this team!

Love love love Hobby Lobby!!! They have a fantastic selection and I love their weekly ads. I can always count on their alternating 50% off sales. For example, I know one week they’ll have 50% off all scrapbooking and the next week all the ribbon will be 50% off. Needless to say I will work my projects around their sales. I think the staff is nice enough and helpful when asked. I’ve gone to other locations but Lombard is my first choice, not only are they closer but I think they might actually be one of the bigger stores with some of the best selections.

We’re christmas fanatics– so we get all of our Xmas décor here early in the season to get the awesome prices. Staff is friendly. Tons of classy décor– definitely a regular here!

This place is awful. It is overpriced and the salespeople are rude. I will not go there ever again. My son can get his school projects supplies at a different store.
Don’t go there!!!

If I need something and can get it at JoAnn’s or Michael’s, I will go there instead. And Blick’s is the perfect spot for art supplies. But if I am passing by and have a few things to look for, I will stop here.
I usually am disappointed. The Hobby Lobby stores are like WalMart and KMart, they take everything about crafts, décor and art supplies, fake flowers, trims, scrapping and party crap and put it in a cannon. Then they shoot it out and call it a store. It has damaged materials in the good stuff, watch out. There are no staff to help you, and they don’t know even if you ask them directly when you find one.
I find sale items that I don’t get sale prices on, until I find out when I get home and look at the register tape. I don’t live close to the stores.
For the good side, if you need something to bring to someone and have no idea or concern what it is, go here and get something on sale or clearance. If you don’t need a specific theme or color, you can shop here for a bunch of different things at one time. The crafts are good for last-​minute birthday or spec. occasion present.
I need a scooter when I shop, or need to constantly sit down to rest my knees. The majority of larger stores have them, I haven’t seen them in any Hobby Lobby yet. So I shop in pain now with a regular cart, or have my husband go around with a list and then I decide what I want from the cart when he gets back to the classroom I am sitting in to wait. This has really cut down now much money I spend here. And this is why the checkout is so depressing. Lines are long and checkout takes forever at every Hobby Lobby. I don’t know why.
So I will shop here if I’m nearby and have several things to look for, but I am frequently disappointed when it is a Sunday and the store is closed. Hire some atheists and have them work Sundays so you can be open for customers.

This place is a mess! And good luck getting out of there without waiting in the longest lines ever. Maybe things would speed up if they ever started using barcode scanners, like even my public library did in about 1990.
I came here for some crafty merchandise, but it seems like HL is trying to be more of a home décor store than a craft place. They have a tiny amount of supplies for a large amount of crafts, maybe enough to get you started in a new hobby, but you’ll need to look elsewhere if you want to expand beyond puff-​paint t-​shirts and basic scrapbooking.
Their home décor stuff is inexpensive, but it is so, so cheaply made. If you are decorating your house in poor-​quality, scratched up Chinese garbage, this is the place for you! They also carry an inexplicable amount of rooster-​themed décor. Weird
The big question, though, is do the sweatshop workers who make this junky stuff get Sundays off to spend with their families, too?

Hobby Lobby always has what I need — why do I go any place else only to be disappointed every time?
There is usually an abundance of what I’m looking for and in so many colors and various textures and styles. I feel like I’m Ariel in the Little Mermaid singing about her secret stash… A funny thing happened as I was going to Hobby Lobby: I was texting a friend and mentioned that I was going to Hobby Lobby and surprise, she was already there, so she shopped a bit more, (it’s easy to do) so we could have supper later.
I was looking for beads and my hubby, who usually doesn’t like going on adventures of these sorts was on a mission for frames. My friend had already gotten a cart full of goodies, but one really can spend hours looking at this or that putting together endless possibilities. I love the way the store is laid out. Everything is so neat and tidy. I have yet to see children running through the store and I’ve never gotten anything that was opened or torn or damaged in anyway.
There are helpful staff all around, usually stocking shelves, who are ready to answer your questions and even do your craft or art project for you. They are just there to be of any service that they can. I really like Hobby Lobby and even was able to use my phone to show a coupon and got 40% off the highest priced item. They are the best!

What a fun place to shop!
Before heading here I had called in advance to make sure they had the wooden beads I needed. The customer service rep was very friendly over the phone and ensured me they had what I needed. So I head on over after work and decided to browse, but finally asked someone for help because this place is a massive craft/​decorative center. Upon seeing my selection I was disappointed because they weren’t the beads I was expecting, but they’ll work. (They actually worked out really well for the craft project I was doing!)
After picking up what I needed I decided to browse some more. I could of easily stay there for hours, but the gym was calling my name. I picked up some paint brushes and ribbons and when I was paying the cashier told me the beads were on sale (50% off)! Awesome!
The service I received from the associates on the floor and at check-​out was great! Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable about everything I asked them.
I had fun browsing everything and started getting ideas to decorate my home with. I’ll definitely be back!

I really like this store. I dont come here that often but whenever I do theres always something new to look at. I like looking at the fabric. I just made a blanket the other day and all the fleece was 30% off so that was exciting. Who doesnt like to save money, right?
The aisles can get cluttered and I would be careful cause they have glass stuff in certain sections and I guess in a little kisok. Sometimes the glass can be too close to the edge so like I said be careful. Sometimes im afraid to walk by.
I also like looking at all the crafts and beads and the build your own plane or train set. Overall its a great store and this is where I get all my craft stuff.

I love /​hate Hobby Lobby.
It’s aisle after aisle after aisle of cheap, imported, wasteful, materialistic (and likely toxic) clutter and … oooooh, SPARKLY! Look! 50% off Christmas ribbon! Glass ornaments!

So I like Hobby Lobby for my wired ribbon hoarding needs and Christmas decorating. I recently purchased supplies for quickly assembling an autumn, grapevine wreath for our front door.
I don’t like Hobby Lobby’s selection of jewelry /​beading supplies. The word cheap really does apply here. The prices are low, but so is the quality. To make anything worth wearing, I recommend finding a store devoted to beads and jewelry making supplies.
I find the clerks here to be friendly and I believe this store has a new check out system. I got through check out swiftly during my last visit.
I do feel a little awkward browsing a store full of throw-​away, consumer-​culture stuff while listening to a Muzak-​like version of Holy, Holy, Holy.

Creative Center/​Craft Center/​Home Décor Center/​Candy Center. That about says it all. I’ve come here for stamping and scrapbooking material as well as for home décor like picture frames and vases. They have a nice selection and lots of times some great markdowns/​sales. And there is always a HL coupon every week in the Sunday paper.
This most recent time I came here looking for party décor and pretty much found everything I needed. I liked the items here a lot more than the party megastores because they didn’t seem as cheap or cheesy and I just lucked out to find some items that the party megastore didn’t have – like Western Themed cupcake holders and western themed wrapped buttermints!
Service is friendly, although the check out lines seems to take forever and a day. And what is it with people still paying with checks? This is the only store where it seems many people still use paper checks – that slows down the line a bit too. Not being judgey-​wudgey, just an observation. It won’t stop me from coming in when I need to.

I have only been to Hobby Lobby for framing purposes, but if I were a tidge craftier, or wanted some home décor, this would be the place to come.
I bought my husband a matted animation character key for Christmas two years ago, and we never could find a standard ready-​made frame that would fit it, thanks to its very thick matte. For his birthday I decided it was about darn time I had it framed, for real.
The folks at Hobby Lobby were very friendly, helpful, and the art was ready at the specified time. One teeny weird thing — I called the day before they’d said it would be done, just in case it was done early. I was told «we said tomorrow — and we’re running a few days behind» leaving me to believe I might not get it in time.
But, the next day it was ready as promised. And it looks great. Plus, it was half off — can’t beat that with a stick.

I love my neighborhood Hobby Lobby! I come in about once a month or so to pick up yarn for my various crochet projects or to get supplies for making flower arrangements. The deals here are hit or miss. Sometimes I find great deals, then other times no.
The downside to HL are the checkout lines. Sometimes I spend more time in line then I do shopping the store. Also, the cashiers seem to have to manually enter the sales on most of the items, so it pays to closely observe while checking out to make sure you’re paying the right amount.
