I guess I can cross this off my list.
Not much happening in the way of ambience. After reading the reviews I went with the $ 6 lunch special which is a terrific deal. Tried the Zinger Chicken sandwich, which is a medium spicy fried sandwich. It was reasonably good. It had a mayo slaw sauce on it that was ok, but unnecessary. The fries were run of the mill spicy/​seasoned fries.
Next time I will order the Peri Peri chicken which I understand is grilled. More my style.
Packed at lunch, by the way.

Nothing bad to say about this place. Quality food, friendly and helpful service with great prices. When I am in the mood for a fried chicken sandwich this is the place I always went to while living in Chicago. The $ 6 lunch special is unbeatable. Trust me, get the zinger burger which is a enormous piece of fresh white meat fried chicken sandwiches between a sesame bun. Make sure to get this thing spicey. The burger comes with coleslaw on top only the meat which adds flavor and moistness. The burger comes served with fried which are above average. Make sure to grab a shocker and add some additional seasoning that’s on the table. The meal also comes with a can of soda or water.
My only suggestion would be for them to clean the ketchup/​hot sauce bottles more frequently. They are consistently sticky which is a bit of a turn off but other then that this place is great.

This place is ok. I really like their peri peri chicken sandwich. It’s delicious! I also like their zinger burger. The rest of the stuff on their menu is ok. I usually get take out from this place once every few months. Not a huge fan but sometimes it all the choice I have. Not really a sit down place for families. The good thing about this place is that’s halal. The gyro burger is ok.

If I could, I would give 0 stars!
We are regular consumers at the restaurant hence please don’t think that we were turned off by one time issue!
I am allergic to tomatoes! We ordered gyro cheeseburgers, we normally get them on Fridays after work. They never have ketchup on their gyro cheeseburgers. Last Friday, we placed the order for gyro cheeseburgers, hubby brought it home, found ketchup on them, called the restaurant and told them, they said to bring it back. Once he brought the food back and they refused to do anything about it. We told them that I have allergies and cannot consume the food and the owner knowingly refused to replace the burger and said that they always have ketchup on them. How can they flat out lie like that? I know what I consume and stay alive due to severe food allergies, but apparently saying that out loud didn’t matter to the owner!
How can a business operate like that?

Never going back. period.
someone should tell these knuckle heads that chicken wings in this country are bite sized morsels coated in flavored sauce. when you order 50 wings, you expect to say… «is this going to be enough for a party of 8?» We ordered this and none of these idiots told us that these were actually steroid grown supersized real chicken wings fried in tons of oil and without any damn sauce!!! We ended up throwing away all that food because how the hell could we finish all that? On top of that… it was SO fried that there was hardly any edible chicken left!!! Why did we even deviate from the tride and true WING BROS down the street.
To some positive however… some members of our party ordered things like burgers or philly cheese or gyros. The gyros were rated as a 10 by a teen in our group. I would give this place just a speck of a star but i dont know how to give less than one!
atomsphere — Typical scummy dirty dining area that no thought was given to. Tables were probably brought off craigs list from a few restaurants that closed down.
Employees — One person that barely speaks english.
Bottom line — OF ALL THE PLACES IN THAT AREA — IM STICKING TO WING BROS UNLESS THERE IS A CONVINCING REVIEW TO GO ELSEWHERE. THIS PLACE WILL EXCEED YOUR EXPECTATIONS IF YOU WANT TO BE PISSED OFF AT WASTING MONEY, CALORIES, AND TIME.

I’ve been to both the Morton Grove and Lombard locations, and loved both. The food is always really good and prepared fresh. Service is always good as well, friendly staff and quick service.

Pls only come here unless your looking for previously frozen and flash fried food. Stay away from the chicken wings. Tasteless and huge pieces of frozen hormone injected chicken. Ordered a 50 piece for the family and only finished a few pieces. Ordered chicken tenders for my four year old. They brought out something that looked like chicken octopus. Burned and overly breaded pieces of chicken. Burgers were ok, nothing special. Peri peri sauce did not taste like most, not sure exactly what it was. Restaurant is dirty and I don’t think they even bothered to wipe the tables down. Don’t waste your time. They have a wing and burger joint down the street. Main Street. Who’s wings are awesome. Definitely not going back.

I ordered a cheeseburger and fries unfortunately this must not be a regular thing to order.
It took a long time to make and while waiting in their restaurant I came out smelling like really old fryer grease… brutal.
The burger was not very fresh and the fries had a very unpleasant and unusual flavor to them. I couldn’t even eat them and didn’t finish the burger.
No star for food and one star for the can of 7up.
This place needs to clean up there act, I mean that literally this place was dirty. Also change the oil in the fryer and use a better grade of meat for the burgers. Come on!
Won’t be back.

The lady I was talking to her name was So called ayman she was working Monday November 23^rd at night
She told me to come in 15 mins I got there in 20 mins
I called her to tell her my fries were cold
She hung up on me the first time then I called her again and she acted like she couldn’t hear me
They didn’t give me a refund and said I came in too late I came in literally 5 mins after my burger and fries was ready
Very bad service
I used to love their service but now they have downgraded

Great fries, good chicken sandwich and wrap. Problem was that it wasn’t a very clean dining area when I went there on a weekday lunch.
Nice service but just felt a bit grossed out eating there.

Not much by way of ambience– seating is plenty
Food is delicious. Cooked to order, served hot. When you’re in the mood for greasy food, everything here was delicious. Especially enjoyed their southwest burger, mmmmmm.

I have heard a lot about Mr. Broast, so I went in with high expectations. I am happy to announce that all of expectations were met.
I had the Philly cheesesteak, after ordering on the phone and just picking up. I liked the bread a lot, but the filling was just way too spicy for me. I eat spices, but my tolerance level is not too high, so I can’t blame them. The meat was not in big chunks, like I imagined it would be, and the bell peppers were cut into very small pieces. I know another reviewer said that there was no cheese on their sandwich, but that wasn’t the case for me.
I also like the zinger burger. With a soft bun and crispy, crunchy, juicy, chicken, I actually prefer this menu item over the Philly cheesesteak. I ordered it spicy, and it was just enough spice. Not overly done, but a nice level of heat. The only thing I didn’t like was I didn’t know that it was going to have mayonnaise on it, and I don’t like mayo. Other than that, absolutely delicious.
I went with all of my fellow Unilocalers and got an extra side order of fries. Definitely a good choice, the fries are amazingly good. Crispy and the perfect amount of seasoning.
I also thought the person inside working was super nice. She was cheery and smiling. I would go here again.

Last night we had the best halal burgers, Zinger & Peri-​Peri at Mr. Broast, in Lombard. While searching for our snacking joint I found this place nearby with nice reviews. A restaurant with plain interior is not that inviting but their food is !!!
There is a lot to choose from and really hard not to drool upon, but we tried out zinger burger combo (with fries and Pepsi) and peri peri burger and kept others for our next visit. While peri peri burger I chose to be regular, zinger we opted for the spicy delight.
Zinger burger had a crisp patty of chicken coated with homemade sauce… It was finger licking good. crunchy, juicy and fully seasoned in a single bite. I would like to mention their homemade crisp masala fries (seasoned fries), very crispy and mouth watering. Peri Peri was all about the spicy grilled chicken… chicken was tender and a moist with after-​bite heat sensation.
Overall, I am impressed with this place and their service. It took 10 – 15 minutes for food to reach at the table, so hold your patience as it will be worth. There is ample seating space for bigger groups of 10 – 15 people as well.
Do stop at this place if you are visiting Lombard next time.

Excellent food and service
The broasted chicken is amazing. Peri peri sauce has a nice, unique kick. Food is fresh, and made to order. Definitely worth the wait!

Who doesn’t like some broast? Some zinger burger? I know I do! But back in LA it’s very hard to find zabihah halal zinger. So when I found out il be visiting Chicago, I quickly started looking for halal places and those which other people recommended. Even though this was like 35 minutes cab drive from our hotel, we knew we HAD to try this.
We were not disappointed! My husband and I had the zinger burger combo and he also tried their buffalo sandwich. But zinger burger was the bomb.
And it was freshly made too. They had chaat masala for the fries I use that in literally every food I make or eat. If I ever come back to Chicago, I’m definitely going back!

Keep Calm and Zinger On! Mr Broast has the best Chicken Sandwich in the Suburbs. You will honestly wonder where this food has been your whole life. Even with the large seating area, some nights leave this place overflowing with customers.
Service: They have a TON of orders. Food will take a while but ALWAYS worth the wait.
Food: Zinger Burger is a gift from some magical place. Fries are delicious. :)
Value: Worth every penny but I still wish it was cheaper.
The place can get hot so brace yourself during the summer months!

I’ve seen this place for about ¾ years and never stopped in until tonight. My sister and I stopped in to check them out. The inside was not bad pretty clean. We both ordered Zinger Burgers w/​Fries and a pop (meal) $ 7.99 each. That is a deep fried Chicken Brest on a bun with coleslaw. The coating for the Chicken was very light not oily at all to my surprise I will be going back.

My sister & I was looking for something to eat & stopped in. The place was full of people ordering these chicken sandwiches. I talked to the cashier about the sandwich & he was very nice & explained the sandwich to me. We order the zesty chicken sandwich. They had a sandwich under the warmer waiting for the other one to cook & I had to ask «is that one of our sandwich waiting for the other one?» & he said yes!!! I surely didn’t want that sandwich & what did they do? Yes tried to give it to me anyway!!! That didn’t work out well for them cause I wasn’t having THAT!!! So they cooked us two new sandwiches & they were really good. They were some of the best chicken sandwiches I’ve eaten in a long time. The chicken was real & not some frozen patty. If it wasn’t for the chicken switch at the beginning I would have given them 5 stars!

Mr. Broast is a quick service restaurant, you order at the counter, they bring the food to the table.
The food is ALWAYS fresh. and oh so flavorful. That’s what I love about this place. I usually get the bun kabob, or a Mr. Beef platter. Their chicken zinger burger is really good too!
We went on a SUPER busy Friday night. The place was packed. But the kitchen kept that food coming out hot and fresh. The serving staff was on top of their game, keeping the food moving and the tables clean. It seemed like the air conditioning had given up in the face of the heat outside and the mass of people inside.
You can also always order in advance and take out.

Fresh yummy food and lunch specials that include fries and a drink for 6 bucks? Uh yes please. I had the zinger burger and died. It was SO good. I asked them to make it a lil spicier and it was on point. The fried chicken piece was huge, juicy, and seasoned to perfection. The fries are also delicious! You could even share the meal with someone it was so big (but u won’t want to share that zinger burger trust me)
For my Muslims, the place is halal too– so bring yo parents– it’s soon to be their fave spot too! My father in law loves their fried fish there (desi parents’ dream come true)
