Reptile Finders

Staff there is great. Anthony and Chuck usually help me and my girlfriend out. It was our first time wanting to get a new snake. We went there a few times to hold the same snake to decide if we wanted to buy it or not. Chuck and Anthony were very patient with us, unlike other Pet shops.
We decided on a baby ball python who is the nicest. We got an awesome deal on our whole setup. 10 days later we went back for another ball python and a new tank. Chuck gave us a good amount of store credit for our old tank to put towards a new one. The staff is very friendly and knowledgable. My girlfriend and I love going in there to look around and bring friends and family with us. We love our new snakes.
Since we have been interested in looking at snakes, we have been to other pet shops. But none of them compare to reptile finders and their quality care condition for their reptiles. Another place also admitted to us their snakes have mites often. Yuck.

Reptile finders is awesome! They gave my boyfriend and I a great deal on our snake. It included the whole set up and a baby ball python. Chuck and Anthony were very patient with us. Anthony is really good at his job! He gave us plenty of information about snakes, very helpful. Anthony also set up the snake tank for us, which looked very nice. Will definitely be referring people to them. :)

They take great care of their dogs and are extremely helpful and friendly. Cute pups, bright place and they play bossa nova. The Staff is cool too.

My 7 year old son decided he wanted a bearded dragon for his birthday instead of a party. We went to petsmart and purchased everything they told us to. Within 3 weeks, our baby was very sick. I found the email for reptile finders and sent a desperate email hoping to eventually receive an email back. Within 15 minutes chuck called me. He talked to me for half an hour about my baby and said he would take him to try and nurse him back to health. Seeing as we have spent and invested so much money I was stressed about the cost. He said he wanted to do it for my son. Free of charge. Unfortunately, he was not able to save our dragon. He then offered to replace him for free for a gift for my son. I have not experienced this extent of kindness for several years. My heart and faith has been restored. What an incredible person. I have read a negative review for this place, only one. It saddens me that a person can take someone’s incredible generosity as trying to make a miscommunication right and interpret it as a bribe. What a sad and angry person to continually post to hurt this much needed community business. Chuck, I am so proud of you. I don’t know you, never met you before yesterday, but pray that my son has the same compassion and integrity as yourself. Reptile Finders and owner Chuck house the perfect place if you are a professional reptile lover or a novice passer by. They truly care for their animals and the customers that take them home. I have a toddler and the bearded dragon is an amazing companion for a little one. The selections were incredible and Chuck made sure to find everything we would need and gave us incredible deals to be able to bring home our new friend that night! They were pretty busy when we went in and we still felt like we were most important. Chuck took the time to let us see all the beardies and connect as well as explain all the details.
Also great deals! Huge selection! Cool people! And now I have a happy son with a new best friend! :-) thanks.

This place is awesome tons of amazing looking Reptiles and Chuck is a awesome person (Owner) I & my girlfriend went here to purchase some baby Bearded Dragons for my birthday and my Bearded Dragons are doing just great! Very knowledgeable and helpful … Gave me a great deal on a nice new set up and hooked us up with a free Lizard with the tank set up Check out Reptile finders very great staff and a helpful great owner!

I took my sick water dragon to Chuck and he treated him for FREE. He gave me a lot of useful advice and was super patient with my son who was wayy too excited to be there. They let him hold one of the snakes and he hasn’t stopped talking about it since!
I’m happy to say our lizard is doing much better. Thank you for being awesome Reptile Finders! :)

I’m serious when I say this is the best place to get ur reptiles they are the best and treat us super awesome they have been helping us with our gecko problems through thick in thin especially Anthony that’s the bro right there he’s very knowledgeable and wise he’s like the genius of all gecko knowledge. I will never stop going there love u guys! You’re the best!

Every time I go there it’s closed.

This place is pretty rad. My boyfriend and I come by every week to get crickets and dubias for out bearded dragon. Best price for crickets around! 30 of any size for $ 1.

Do not get here when they first open. I just Waited until 12:25pm for some one to show up then an extra 5 for them to open the door. Poor form. Won’t waste my time like that again!
UPDATE: only one employee so the waiting crowd had a decent wait, but we all left fast when we found they were out of almost everything.

A must see. I picked up a Jackson chameleon over the weekend from here and couldn’t be happier. Make sure to see Chuck, he is very knowledgable and takes all the time in the world to see that u have a great shopping experience. I have been coming here picking his brain for awhile now, and he’s been nothing short of great. No matter how busy he is, he will take the time to make sure you understand what you are getting in to. I love supporting a local small business and here u can get information that the big box pet stores can not give to u. Trust me when I say its worth the drive if reptiles are your thing.

Let me start of by saying, Reptile Finders deserves MORE than 5 stars!!!
When i purchased my Bearded Dragon years ago, i looked for a place that i could count on to help educate me further on my little guy. Although i worked in the pet care industry i was always looking to enhance my knowledge, especially on reptiles. When i was told of Reptile Finders i immediately went down to check them out. Chuck was the first to ever help me at the store. His knowledge blew me away. Not only was he knowledgeable but personable, friendly and you could tell Chuck loved what he did. I’d do most all my shopping there. The other employees are awesome as well. Unfortunately my Bearded passed away about 2 years ago, he was an awesome guy, i still miss him. I ended up being given another beardie about 4 months after his passing, little did i know at the time this female hadn’t been treated properly, she became aggressive. I called upon Chuck to help me out. He made 2 house calls, yes he came to my house to evaluate the young female beardie. To his surprise she was oddly aggressive. He offered some hands on with her to try and tame her down. After his second visit to the house i decided to render her over to Chuck and his coworkers, she was a bit too aggressive for me. He gladly took over her care and to my knowledge one of his coworkers adopted her, her name was Stella.
I’ve also taken my nephew in several times, he was able to hold a few of the reptiles, he thought that was the best thing ever.
The Reptile Finders is a true gem, if you ever need supplies, looking for a specific reptile, have questions, whatever your in the market for check them. out, they have my business for life.
My next purchase will be a Snow Dragon which I’m hoping they can locate for me…

great place, cheapest crickets around, only place around you can find live pinkies and rat pups anywhere around, the owner chuck is soft spoken layed back and kind. the animals are rad, and they even get some sweet rare morphs and rare animals. I will continue to be a customer here for years to come!

This place is pretty bomb diggity, yo. They have quite the selection of reptiles, a few of them I’ve never seen before. Everyone here is super nice, knowledgeable, and they always answer even some of our stupider questions. The most important part is that they take impeccable care if their animals. Their tanks are well decorated and pristine.
Spiders are gross.

Thanks to reptile finders my daughters 7 th birthday was a blast very fun and educational it’s a great experience for kids as well as adults a lot of hand on experience with the animals I highly recommend you use them In your next birthday party thanks to the owner chuck and Jonathan for a great presentation

Reptile Finders has been very good to us with the maintenance and care for our baby sulcata tortoise. Me and my boyfriend purchased him here and I immediately fell in love. They supply all of your reptile needs, provide great customer service, and are very knowledgable about reptiles. One of the employees even provided a list of foods that my tortoise should and shouldn’t eat. I know I could go to any other pet store, but this place strictly caters to reptiles, and I can honestly say that this place has been reliable overtime.

After I wrote my negative review of this place, the owner contacted me and offered me $ 125 in store credit to take down my review. So not only was I repeatedly insulted by the woman who turns out to be his mother, but then he insults my integrity by trying to buy me off. Naturally, I ignored his offer. (But I imagine this type of shady dealing helps explain why the store has so many positive reviews and so few negative ones.)
So tonight, about a week later, within the space of an hour, I get Unilocal messages from two different people (one claiming to be a stranger, the other admitting to be a friend of the business owner), both asking me to reconsider my negative review. I tell them both that I stand by my review. Further, I tell the second one to relay to the business owner that if they continue to contact me, I will file a harassment complaint with Unilocal and post a follow-​up review.
So now, a few hours after those messages, the owner’s response to my original review goes up.
I still stand by my review. I clearly requested rat pinkies on the telephone before I went to the store. When I arrived, she had me clarify THREE OR FOUR TIMES that I wanted rats, not mice. Then she pulled out a live rat pink, showed it to me, and AGAIN asked if this was what I wanted. I speak perfect English and have no accent. There is no reason for this woman to think I don’t know the difference between «rat» and «mouse.» It was a humiliating experience, exacerbated by the fact that this store is 25 miles from my house.
Yes, I did end up buying substrate for my snake, but only because I was already holding the bag before this whole interaction started, and I wasn’t going to waste any more of my own time by having to go to yet another store for what I already had in my hand. Like I made clear to the people who messaged me, I didn’t yell at the woman in the store or call her any names to her face. I paid for my substrate and left, driving 25 more miles home without the rats I had come for.
And now I’ve spent the better part of a Saturday night repeatedly defending myself over this whole thing. I wish I’d never gone to this damn store.

From the outside the place may not catch your eye. Pacific coast highway is a busy street and you’ve got to pay attention!
I found one of my loves of my life Jack my red tailed bearded dragon. I was looking for love in all the wrong places. Then I found reptile finders.
