Alfredo’s Beach Shack

I was skating with a bunch of friends and stumble upon this store near the pier of Long Beach. We purchased some drinks. The drinks were only mediocre, but it was the best thing we can get at that time. The lady working there told me they take credit card with $ 6 or more. She kept swiping my card for $ 8 but it keeps failing, so she went to the back to do something. My card wasn’t charged for a couple days. Finally when it was charged, my bill shows that it was charged for $ 10. Since this was a 20 Minute trip, I didn’t want to come back to dispute this, and my bank told me it was an hour wait on the phone, so I didn’t bother disputing this for $ 2. Its just $ 2, and to me its noting, but its the integrity of the business that I care about more.

This is a fun place to rent pedal cars & eat etc., but none are is on the cheap.
Now, knowing ALL this, you be the judge, $ 4-​$ 6 for a cheeseburger, and then more $$$ signs pop up as you get the other items too might break your [stop at the bar for a beer later] bank.
Rental prices are touristy high, but then again, people from out of town pay it.
Their equipment is in fair to good condition, Kayaks look well maintained, and some of the Model-​T type carts have seen better days, most are compromised in condition due to the fact that for some reason, many patrons of wide girth & Rubenesque figures insist on overloading these things.
OMG what you are asking those contraptions to handle!
Most of the food here is loaded with oils & grease and, tastes like the grill was not cleaned from the last order.
Yet, I am willing to remain a fan because during Long Beach’s ridiculously hot & humid summers, the ice cream treats are a hit, and any price is paid by MP to cool off during a 6 mile walk.
If you have a Groupon offer, be sure you call ahead, I saw several patrons in stressed conversations over the validity, what you get and what you don’t with these offers.
Staff is courteous, friendly and generous with portions of this «Call Jenny the next day» fare!
Ladies & Gents here on Unilocal,ALL employees for the most part are eye candy worth paying the prices to make you euphoric with: P!
And, keep an eye on you bikes if you park them, even if they are locked at a nearby station; saw a couple of individuals blatantly attempting to steal them in broad daylight, then again my Shoreline Pedestrian Bile Path

So Alfredo’s Beach Shack, based on my relative to a primarily relevant to a customer experience, you are a good pit stop in a pinch on the fly, but you are only 4 Star worthy as you are not THE:

My boyfriend and I found this place today as we were exploring our new neighborhood. We decided to try out this cute little beach shack’s food. All I need to say is that THE BURGERS WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE! Best one I’ve ever had! $ 4 for an amazing cheeseburger?! I think so! Not only was the food amazing but the man there, not sure if he was the owner or not, was the NICEST person. Safe to say this will be my new go-​to spot. Chill, laid back environment and cheap amazing food right on the beach. What more could a person ask for?!

I had purchased an Amazon Local deal for kayaking and food. The address on the voucher is closed down. The number you call is disconnected… we went about a mile away to the other Alredo’s beach shack and asked them if they were affiliated and would take the voucher. We were told that yes that location relocated and were given directions to the «new» location. Though the guy was very helpful, he was also very wrong. We arrived at the other place to be told that they do not accept the voucher. They had talked to a few other people that also were sent there on the same assumption. So frustrating! Luckily I got a refund for the deal, but a huge waste of over an hour!!!

I bought a groupon a couple months back for two hours of kayaking, although I failed to see that it was for ocean kayaking and not bay kayaking. So for those of you who purchased the same groupon please note that ocean kayaking for two hours is seriously strenuous exercise! You will be paddling against currents and there is a possibility of you falling into the open ocean and getting wet so bring a change of clothes!
Other than the misunderstanding, I had a great experience with Alfredo’s Beach Shack Kayaking rentals. My bf called to make reservations for a Saturday, but since it’s still pretty slow we weren’t required to make any reservations. They also gave us tips on parking (meters available on Junipero Ave). The shack is located right on the beach so it won’t be visible from the street. The guy who runs the place is Philip and he will give you instructions on where to kayak, what to experience, and how to come back to shore. He is very knowledgeable and will make you feel comfortable during your kayaking adventure. I’m not too sure if i’ll come back for another two hour workout but I think the experience will be much better during the summer time when the water isn’t 50 degrees.
