Best Carne Asada fries in Long Beach. I been going here for quite a while now, and they have by far the best Carne Asada fries in Long Beach.

A couple months ago this place was legit. NOW, they must have a new chef or something because their food just plain old sucks! The meat has no flavor and is super dry and their salsa tastes like oyster water. Gross! Really sad because I would come here every week, sometimes twice a week. Now, I won’t even consider this place. I thought they just had a bad day or something but NOPE, they’re having a bad couple months. I’m not sure what they changed, but they need to undo, delete delete delete delete!

I have to say today was one of the worst days I’ve ever had at this place I go here almost once a week but today there was a new Chef I’ve never seen Carnitas not shredded literally it was in chunks and not just that but you can still taste the refrigerator of the meat as if he didn’t heat it up enough it made me feel sick and just wasted $ 14 the meat tasted old

They marked wrong burrito with Beef, co-worker got my burrito. The beef burrito was terrible, barely any beef whatsoever, mixed in heavily with tomatoes and peppers.

First off, the staff couldn’t be any sweeter if you dipped them in honey! Occasionally I need to satisfy my carne asada burrito craving and have been searching for a long time to replicate the ones I used to get at Alberto’s when I lived in San Diego. I like it no frills, don’t fill up the burrito with a bunch of rice and beans — I want meat baby! Well Aliberto’s does it right. Tender beef with pico de gallo and guacamole. It’s perfect and huge! Now you can get the burritos done up anyway you want, but I’m happy to have found a burrito to suit my taste. A big plus they have a drive thru. The neighborhood is a little scary, but I’ve yet to have a problem. Oh and both their green and red hot sauces are the bomb!

My first trip here and all I ordered where two orders of Super Nachos. One with Chicken and the other with Steak. My goodness the servings were massive but I’m the kind of person who accomplishes whatever task he starts and by God I finished my order with a smile on my face. Although, I did have to loosen my belt a notch or two. The amount of Steak is unbelievable. I did hope for the meat to be a little warmer but it wasn’t a big deal. The Chicken Nachos looked a bit more appealing so I dove right in to those as well. The cheese was melted, the guacamole needed salt but it was plentiful, the beans were good, and the sheer amount of chips was endless. I ordered the sour cream on the side and chose the red sauce. The sauce was smoky and just hot enough to make its presence felt. Both orders were devoured in minutes. Five of us shared these two orders which is not bad for $ 16. My new Nacho go-to spot. I got to try the rest of the menu too but in due time.

I’m going to be brutally candid here about my poor attention to detail at 35mph: despite having driven by here quite a few times, I honestly did not realize this place was actually called«Aliberto’s»(and not the more common«Alberto’s). The realization only hit me when I was wondering why the hell I couldn’t find a page for this place on Unilocal, despite having«correctly» entered the query term«Alberto’s». There’s really not too much to say here. The girl working the ordering window was all business. The food is good and cheap. I ordered a meal consisting of 5 rolled taquitos supreme(carne asada) and a drink, which was affordably priced at $ 7.99. The taquitos were liberally covered with sour cream, shredded cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes. Outcome: the meal filled me up, made my taste buds happy, and did not hurt my wallet much. Also, I did not get sick later that day. And a Metro Blue Line station(Anaheim) is conveniently located across the street. Guys, there’s really no bad news here. There is a drive-thru, but unfortunately no lavatory here. Plenty of parking in the back. On our way to the ordering window, and while we were waiting for our food, we’re pretty sure we saw some victimless«crimes» going down around the block(the kind that attracts the unwanted attention of Narcotics and Vice). We made it a point to mind our business and keep our heads down while eating, lest we be shot for looking at someone the wrong way. Still, it seems like a pity — all that potential income/sales tax not being collected in this seedy part of the LBC …

Came here twice, first Cali burrito was good, good enough for me to order it a second time. The second time was absolutely horrible, could not finish it! Burnt fries mixed with undercooked fries did not taste very good, look at the pic of the burrito fries I took next to the plate of super fries. The super fries were good though

I’ve only been here once, pretty late, craving albertos. This was closest. I got my norm, Chile relleno burito, with only cheese, guacamole and beans. It was DELISH!!! Probably one of the best I’ve had. The drive thru guy was really nice and got our order perfect, which rarely happens. Well be back!

A solid 3 stars. This isn’t gourmet Mexican food by any means. But it is some pretty solid take out. Not be be confused with Albertos or any other very similar variation of that name and not in the most beautiful part of Long Beach but if you are hungry and not wanting to deal with the lines at King Taco it’s worth a try. Be warned. if you decide to up to the window from their parking lot you’ll be putting your life in your own hands as thanks to some shotty planning when this location was originally built, you’ll be walking head on into a blind corner drive through lane. Once you are at the order window you may find yourself surrounded by some interesting people too. Turning into the drive through can also be a little trick as it’s a small one way street and if you miss it, you’ve gotta make a long U-Turn or go around a few blocks to get to it. I tired 3 basics to get a feel for this place: 1) Shredded beef hardshell taco: Probably the best of the 3 things I tried. At first I thought it was a little skimpy on the meat but once I got into it, everything was balanced just right. The tortilla that they used had a really good flavor to it. It’s not easy to find decent hard shell tacos around here so I was pleased to come across this one. 2) Bean and Cheese Burrito: Pretty solid bean and cheese. They do have some pretty tasty refried beans at this place. The cheese is so-so. It didn’t melt as well as I’d like. It can’t hold a candle to El Burrito Jr. in the South Bay but it was A-OK. 3 stars on that one. 3) Carne Asada Taco: Not sure why they feel a need to put lettuce in a soft taco, kind of made me mad actually but it was pretty good. They have two different sizes to choose from which is a plus. The taco comes with lettuce, guacamole, onions, cilantro. I recommend no lettuce. It’s messy and can be wilted by the time you get around to it. 4) Sides: They give you some pretty tasty salsa. I only tired the green but it wasn’t bad at all. Lots of flavor with a little kick. They also give you a bag of spicy carrots and other things which wasn’t bad either. I’d like to see them thrive in a location that has been several other restaurants before this place opened up. Give them a try, you may find something you like!

This review is only geared towards their pollo asada super fries. PRO: 1. decent price(didnt cost extra to switch from carne asada to pollo asada) 2. big quantity 3. sour cream, cheese, and guacamole already included! 4. pickled carrots included in takeout bag :) CON: 1. awkward entry into the restaurant for the drive thru, prob need to go a few times before you can get the hang of what street you can conveniently enter thru and leave from 2. hot sauce containers are SMALL! I was given 2 for the whole order and when I asked for more, I was given 2 more :/(I tend to use alot of hot sauce in general.) 3. closes early(I believe 10pm on weekdays), I drove by at 8pm on a Sunday and they were closed! I asked the next time I came by and she said Sundays, they close whenever its slow. Overall, I will be back to try other food options! If not, get the super fries again cause it was YUMMY!

I was there 15 minutes before closing and while they did attempt to take my order at the drive thru, when I got to the window, they told me they were close. Also they had their children in the back kitchen. On the other hand… there carne asada fries are pretty tasty

This little place takes the place of Louisiana Fried Chicken which closed down a few months ago, sadly! This opened up a couple days to a week ago, and I finally got to try it. I got the wet carnitas burrito. There was one person at the window, and one cook. Honestly, the food came out a bit slow, but quicker than I thought it would with low staff. The food itself was decent. The carnitas was a bit salty, but it was nicely complimented by the red chili sauce. The red hot sauce was a lot better with it too. It was also cheap for how much you get. For less than six bucks, I’m really quite full, and it would honestly make a good late dinner. The SO had a taco and enchilada plate. The rice was really good, as well as the beans, which I usually don’t like. The taco was fried«freshly», so it was nicely shaped to the meat. A bit too crunchy, and thus fragile, but still good. Enchilada, I had one bite of, but I thought it tasted okay. All in all, good place to eat if you need a quick fix. Hopefully it sticks around.
