Bark! Bark! Daycare & Grooming

I picked up my dog from bark bark a week ago. He could barely keep his eyes open and his left eye had a gash. I took him back to bark bark and they washed his eye out. The next day I had to take him to the vet. He had cuts in both eyes but the left worse. I have been stressing for a week now that he might loose his sight. I dropped off my vet bill to bark bark. They have not reached out to me at all to talk about this or even check up. This is what he looked like when I picked him up and now. The vet said yesterday it will take several weeks to heal. I pray everyday he will be ok.
I loved Angie who they refused to forward her information. I still want it. She is worth driving to Hemet.

Our mini bull terrier went here a month before he was about to turn 6 months. The reason his age is relevant is because he hasn’t been neutered yet, we are waiting until he’s 1. It’s our beliefs and we are standing by it! Haha, anyways any respectable off-​leash establishment has rules of dogs that aren’t spayed or neutered beyond a certain age are not able to attend the daycare. Our pup was about to hit that mark with their limit of 6 months. Beau, for the month before turning 6 months really enjoyed himself! It was also a great experience for him to socialize with other dog! We live within walking distance of this location so once we headed home and arrived to the couch he was asleep ASAP! I also enjoyed the webcam they have to see how you’re dog is doing! Our Beau is 9 months currently and once he’s neutered he’ll be able to attend the daycare, which he misses a lot!

Went here for the first time today. I love how you can look into the day care area and see lots of happy pups playing and enjoying their day. My pup tends to hate the groomers, but the happy puppies eased his nerves. They were pretty quick with my little dude, got him back in about two hours. The groomer did exactly what I wanted and he looks so handsome! I’ll definitely be coming back. I can’t wait to try out their other services as well!

My significant other and I just relocated to Long Beach from MI with our two dogs. Back home in MI our pups have been attending doggy daycare since they were both 3 months old so needless to say we knew we needed to find a place here for the pups to play. I had called two weeks prior to moving to get the ball rolling and schedule a temperament test and when I called the lady was very nice on the phone (unlike the lady at the front desk when we actually arrived) and she asked me the generic questions including what kind of breed my dogs were. My pups are both rescue dogs and one is a black mouth cur mix and the other an american bulldog, which is exactly what I stated to the lady on the phone. So fast forward a couple weeks and we walk in for the temperament test, and this is where everything goes wrong. First off the look on the ladies face when we walked in was utter disgust when she saw my american bulldog, she immediately stood up and stated that there was a problem and that pit bulls were not allowed at there facility. My significant other spoke up and stated that our 1 year old american bulldog was not in fact a pure pit and pulled out our paperwork from our vet stating that she was in fact an american bulldog. The lady wanted nothing to do with the paperwork and stated back to my significant other that «she looks like a pit therefore she is a pit and we cannot take her here». Furious at this point I argued one more time that my dog was in fact not a pit but the lady was just staring at my dog like she had just attacked her. I was disgusted. We immediately left. I understand that bulldog breeds get a bad rap and I do not by any means expect everyone to love my dog at first site but if that lady would have taken the time to even pet my dog she would have realized that she is by far one of the most loving dogs I have ever met. I mean not only has she been going to daycare since she was weeks old and getting socialized she has never once attacked or hurt a person or animal. My frustration lies in the unprofessionalism with that staff member, the fact that I should have been told on the phone that they have breed restrictions when american bulldog was first mentioned and what is the point of a temperament test if you are going to judge my pup the minute we walk into the door? My dogs one sin in life is licking people to death and according to Bark! Bark! being born an american bulldog. Bark! Bark! says they care about all animals but apparently they only care about the ones that «look nice». Shame on you Bark! Bark!

Where do I begin?! Bark bark he been a god send for us. August has so much energy and with my fiancé and I gone all day at work, he was going crazy being left at home alone. We found bark bark when he was about 6 months old and have been taking him there ever since.
The staff is amazing and they love him just as much as we do! We drop him off in the morning and pick him up after work. It is so convenient and August is worn out after a long day of play.
We have also used the boarding services at the St. Louis (signal hill) location. I love that it is cage free and we can check up on what he is doing because both locations have cameras.
I would highly recommend bark bark if you live in the signal hill or downtown area. I always mention it to other dog parents when we are at the dog park.

We take our dog here at least once a week. The staff is kind and caring and Cecilia (our dog) always has a fun time. Plus side– after a day at Bark Bark she is worn out

I have taken my dog 3 time here. First time she was at Signal Hill for the over night. I didn’t receive a report card being the first time there which was fine but I would’ve liked to receive one. Real issue has been at the DTLB location. 1^st time being there we noticed two small scratches on her and I let it go. I understand that she’s a boxer and over active but she does not rough play at all. 2^nd time-​this past Saturday were pretty big and look painful, chunks of hair missing!(pictures posted). She was only there for a few hours. I received a report and it didn’t mention anything. I don’t like to find these things on my dog. This does not happen when I take her to the dog park, this shouldn’t be happening at a facility! They obviously aren’t controlling dogs that are rough playing. So upset. We aren’t going back.

Thank you Edgar (groomer) for always executing my dogs haircuts to perfection. There isn’t enough kind words that I can say about Edgar and his talent. Edgar always takes excellent care of my Frida and Victoria. He treats my girls as if they were his own.
The Bark! Bark! staff is very friendly and kind to me and my girls each time that we arrive. We always feel welcomed! I live in Orange County and drive from there to Long Beach, because there isn’t a groomer in Orange County that has the skills and amazing talent such as Edgar.

I recently moved to Long Beach and fortuitously came across Bark Bark during a walk in the neighborhood with my little pup. After two visits I’m giving the facility a 2-​star rating for the following reasons:
+2 Stars:
1) Friendly staff
2) Excellent grooming services
–3 Stars:
1) Unfair temperament testing — I have the most friendly, loving and gregarious 3-​pound Pomeranian a girl could ask for, but due to several negative experiences she tends to be unnerved around big dogs. Before I dropped her off for the testing, I requested that she not be around the big dogs. However, upon returning for pickup, I was informed that my baby was given a «B» report card because she was diffident around the big dogs. No kidding! Being shy should not warrant a B grade.
2) Nickel-​and-​diming for boarding services — $ 48/​day for boarding services, but no ability to take and send photos or videos of your furry loved one while you’re away? $ 300 or more charge to take your pet to a veterinanian god-​forbid they get hurt? $ 5, not per day but per meal to feed your little fur ball? Smh.
3) While the Long Beach location does temperament testing, they do not actually board the dogs. How inconvenient.
I really could care less about your imbecilic grading system. My little doggie is an A+ in my book! Her mommy and her community loves her just the way she is.

This is my favorite dog grooming place in Long Beach. They always do a great job — I’ve never had to complain. For today’s grooming, I had Edgar and Bark Bark charged me $ 81 for both pooches (full groom).
My other favorite groomer is Jodi and she works at the Atlantic location on Mondays and Tuesdays.
I would recommend either groomer! You’ll be pleased with their work!

First, you should know that I am one of THOSE dog owners. My dog is my child and I’m very particular about who takes care of her. That’s why I love Bark! Bark! You can tell that everyone who works there truly cares for the dogs and they take the time to get to know each dog and understand its needs. My dog, Lily, can hardly wait to bolt out of the car when we start approaching the Bark! Bark! building.
I love watching her on webcam! Sometimes I’ll see her give one of the handlers a cue that I know means «pick me up! I want to be held!» And sure enough, she is soon happily in someone’s arms.
Also, Edgar is a great groomer! My Lily always looks great and he takes time to understand how you want the cut done. And it’s so convenient to have grooming & daycare in one place.
Finally, Danny the trainer is amazing. He is working with my mom’s dog and has given great advice to me and her.
Bottom line — if you’re looking for a place for your dog, look no further!

I found out about this place through the «Dogs of Downtown» event and was excited to have found a daycare location walking distance to where we live to take my 2 year old pittie. HOWEVER, they don’t allow pit bulls or any other bull terrier breeds in their facility. I found this out, when I requested to schedule a temperament test online, and a staff member called me right away and told me about their policy. She then offered to give me the name of other locations that allow pit bulls. FORTUNATELY, we already take my dog to goFETCH Daycare in Bixby Knolls where they welcome ALL dogs (assuming they pass the temperament test of course). My dog has been in daycare since she was 8 months old, she is very much loved at goFETCH, and she LOVES spending her days there. It’s unfortunate that a facility such as Bark Bark can claim to be dedicated to providing «high quality training» and «premier customer service and quality pet care» and discriminate against certain breeds without even allowing to meeting the dog first. It’s their loss though, they will miss out on getting to know my amazing loving dog who was raised properly in a loving home and exemplifies the meaning of a well-​balanced and well behaved dog.

Emma at downtown location could not be more unprofessional if she tried. There are so many dog lovers in Long Beach and people who need jobs, I have no idea why she is there. She clearly has poor social skills and no interest in dogs.

My pup Bentley just turned a year old and we have been going to Bark Bark for little over 4 months. I am very particular with where I take my dog although he’s very friendly, and loves to play he will let me know if he doesn’t want to go somewhere. We are no strangers to dog day care and when we moved to long beach just a few months ago I had to find a new place closer to home so that’s when I came across Bark Bark. They have a GREAT STAFF, very friendly and professional. I use the grooming and day care, and couldn’t be happier with having them as our second home for our puppy bentley. He gets to spend the entire day playing catch and playing with other dogs while I run my errands or work. We are lucky to have found this place.

Now that I’ve been to both locations, I feel comfortable saying that Bark Bark is my go-​to for anything related to my caring for my furry child, Leo. The fact that my normally separation-​averse dog forgets all about me in his excitement to enter daycare speaks volumes, in my opinion. It’s a bit more convenient for Leo to visit the Signal Hill location for daycare, but I bought a Living Social deal to have him groomed at the downtown Long Beach location, and I am very happy I did.
First of all, Ruth was a sweetheart on the phone and was super helpful when I booked Leo’s appointment. I found the service rates quite reasonable — Leo is a 10 lb. mini poodle, and we were quoted the base price of $ 45 for a full groom. I’ve paid considerably more elsewhere, so that was nice. Edgar was great — he took the time to say hello and asked me some specific questions to determine how I wanted Leo to look. I’m happy I was able to speak to the actual groomer, rather than having my requests get lost in translation after being relayed by a receptionist. Leo came out ridiculously adorable and happy. I won’t hesitate to drive from our house in Glendale for Leo’s future grooming needs.

This is my second time getting a full groom for my Pomeranian Luna. I can always count on Bark Bark to keep Luna looking great. I look forward to bringing Luna back for group obedience classes and day care.

Let start off by saying how much I love this place!!! I have been bring my Boxer Bailey here for 4 months now and it is great. I have put her through there training program with there trainer Danny and the results are fabulous. They have a wonderful staff and great customer service.

Bark Bark DayCare has been a life saver for us. Our high energy Jack Russell, Pippy, loves going there. She gets a lot of human attention (her favorite) and comes home from school (Bark Bark) totally tuckered out!
Having a place to take her when I know she needs it or when I’m having a long day is very comforting. I have also used their overnight kennel service a few times for 3 day/​night stretches. Highly recommend!!! After spending all day running amuck in the daycare area, the pooches go to bed in a cage free room with beds and an attendant that stays with them. The staff is very nice, I have never encountered any problems. Danny the trainer is a dogs best friend, very easy to talk to and so helpful. Thank you Bark Bark for everything you do for the community as well! Love you guys

Bark! Bark! Continues to blow me away bit by bit.
The customer service here is superb, and they ask things that most groomers don’t.
You can really tell they love what they do, and that they genuinely care about your dog.
I will continue to recommend Bark! Bark! to friends with fur children looking for day care or a day at the spa (or both).
