You ever have one of those nostalgia places? Well Casa Sanchez is mine. I grew up eating here all the time. I’m talking since elementary school. Well fast forward a hundred years to today. I was driving by and thought I’d check out the Super Nacho’s w/carne asada and see if they were just like they were when I was a kid. Well, either I was ridiculously easy to please, or Ive just grown to enjoy better food, I hate to admit, the Nacho’s were terrible… the chips were soggy, too much runny guacamole and sour cream, the beans lacked flavor, and the carne asada was just a point above edible. I’m kind of sad about it too, you want to see establishments that you grew up on stay around and be that place you can always go back to, just to take you back to your childhood. Well, guess I’ll be reminiscing at another restaurant… cause Casa Sanchez just isn’t it for me anymore.

Always get their burritos, great tasting and cheap food. Right down the street from me, whenever I feel like Eating Mexican food, this is usually where I’d get it.

Im hating to write this review. Recent visits to the Casa, have me not wanting to come back. Over the past two years, something has changed. Yes, you guessed it. The food! Tonights order consisted of; Chile Colorado burrito served dry. Chile Verde pork burrito served dry. Half chicken quesadilla. One order beef taquitos. Two chicken tamales and one pork. Each of the burritos were severely lacking in flavor. No flavor whatsoever. The meats consistency was boiled and watery. Beans, flavorless and pasty. The chile verde was anything but green. Again, flavorless! Chicken quesadilla. Again, boiled watery and flavorless meat. So wet, the whole thing was a soggy mess! Taquitos were a little better but nothing like they used to be a few years ago. Quality has really taken a hit. This is no longer great Mexican food. Casa Sanchez is no longer worth my time. Time to find a new taco shack,

OMG dude! Finally a good Mexican place. Beef burrito was great! Not greasy! Chicken quesadilla and guacamole sauce amazing. Chips were a little stale and hard my only critique.

Had Casa Sanchez cater for my baby shower today. 3 meats with rice and beans with all the sides for 60 people. Was amazing. Delivery right on time. Food was delicious. Definitely would order again.

Been eating here since I was a kid and I love it!!! Beef enchilada dinner is my favorite, but the flautas, tacos, quesadillas, soups, and salsa are all amazing. The red salsa is my absolute favorite it’s tangy and spicy perfection.

Passed this place hundreds of times and wondered how this dive place was, so I stopped by for a quick lunch. I ordered 2 crunchy beef tacos and an order of taquitos. The shell of the tacos were stale and seemed like they were from a box and definitely not freshly fried. Big disappointment. So bad that I didn’t every eat the shell of the taco and used the bag of chips to scoop out the taco meat. The beef taquitos were better than the tacos. The guacamole was okay… had much better and had worse. Would I come back for more… probably not.

Gave it a second chance today, and it was worse! I ordered a carne asada wet burrito and not even half way through it I kept biting into cartilage and fat. Just bad quality beef. I guess you get what you pay for $ 5 $ 6. Ordered for pickup. Anyway, I kept spitting up the fat and cartilage to the side, then started biting in to the middle and the cheese/beans started tasting sour. I gave up right away picked up more with my fork and found a hair. I just totally gave up and threw it in the trash rather than keep going and cause food poisoning or something. Gross!

Wow, perfect place for salty tacos, barely any onions specially cilantro on the tacos not consistent at all. Not really much difference between carne asada and al pastor tacos. I guess it not supposed to have any pineapple taste to the pastor tacos. I asked the lady if the tacos came with rabanos she replied if there isn’t any there we don’t have any… with such welcoming attitude. I am still guessing its my fault cause if I had a few beers in my systems these tacos would have tasted at 5 star quality. as for the unwelcoming vibe well… I should just lower my expectations and be happily surprise if they actually feel you are welcome to visit and spend your money. Trick to the meat tacos… if they make the carne look like picadillo) fine shredded beef its because it very poor quality meat and the finer the best disguised for the meat just accompany it with a beer and they will taste a perfect 5 stars. These do not compare to LATACOTRUCK tacos by any means possible. Next time, I will drink a 6 pack prior to eating these tacos. Gracias you made a new customer

I haven’t been to Casa Sanchez in 12 years and my friends and I made a trip out of coming here, after a long journey of hoping that nothing changed for the worse we arrived to find the best mexican food we’ve had in years. Five stars gives Casa Sanchez no justice, we will be making monthly treks back to Long Beach, hungry for more.

Love this place. The menu is extensive. Pozole is awesome! Chili Verde — BOMB! Tamales are blah. Service could be friendlier but given this is like a drive in type restaurant and not a seat and serve estabishment I can hang with the less than service.

I spotted this gem while across the street at the pub. I had neglected to eat dinner the night I visited so when I saw this building of love and happiness, my life felt complete. I didn’t know how complete my life would truly be until I ordered a wet chicken burrito with no beans. The burrito literally filled the entire to go container and this 5 foot 100 pound girl thought, «Oh sweet Jesus, leftovers for days!» However, when I took that first bite it took me to a place of nirvana. In my given state, I ended up eating the entire burrito by myself. It was the best decision I ever made. Additional Notes: Prices are fantastic. Salsa bar is great. Warm and yummy chips are a nice touch. Vast menu selection. Friendly employees.

Hey guys, what’s up? Things have changed over the past few months and things are not consistent. The flavor of things like beans and rice change daily. What gives? Ive seen a lot of new workers there. I’ll come back if this is temporary and things are not organized right now but let us know it’s gonna get better, please?

This is what I get for trying something new. Went with the Carne Asada Burrito, the standard staple when trying out a new place. Technically it’s a Super Burrito, but I dunno what makes it super. You get the option of wet or dry. This was to-go so I got dry, since wet is something you fork-and-knife at a table, and I was gonna chow down with my grubby hands. But I didn’t think dry meant on the inside too. It was meat and beans, and nothing else. If I’m getting something called a «super burrito», it better have cheese, hot sauce, guacamole, sour cream. something. Anything. Silver lining was the popular Super Quesadilla, which lives up to its name. I went with a half order, which was still pretty big, and it was loaded with the stuff the burrito was missing. I shoulda just unrolled the burrito and crammed a quesadilla wedge inside. Also I spilled my Orange Bang. Not their fault, but somebody has to pay the price.
