Denny’s

Dara is the best waitress I’ve encountered in a diner if not one of the best waitresses I’ve ever met. She is super-​friendly and they always manage to get my order correct here. They’re open 24 hours and while it’s not cheap it’s not exactly expensive either. The other waiters and waitresses are amazing as well. They also have wifi access so you can study late at night or do last minute cramming for your LSAT. The service is prompt, the restaurant is clean! Dara and the other young waitress are awesome. I look forward to coming back and I hardly write reviews– this place is run very well from the establishments I’ve been to.

Totally remodel inside it has tons of long beach photos and murals. Definitely a place for breakfast lunch or dinner. Great service smiling faces ready to help.

Had a late night dinner after a fun night out and our Server Amanda was amazing! She had excellent customer services skills and always had a smile on her face. Thank you Amanda!

Was told no tables at four am to an empty restaurant. Said they needed to clean but have no option to wait.

I come here for peace and quiet. I work all night. The waitress constantly bothers me with stupid questions. I just want to be quiet and not bothered. Last time I am coming here.

This is perhaps the only dennys in the past 5 years i go to because its near my gym (post workout meal) and my house. Service here is always on point and roxanne today was extremely wonderful. Kudos to all the employees here. Keep it up

Most people would think Denny’s is your average American Diner but let me tell you… Sunday mornings are my fave here, at least this specific location! Daisy makes our stay always the most enjoyable with family and she’s the sweetest. She goes out of her way to make everyone happy.
First, they’ve remodeled the inside and it looks amazing! No more carpet and walls and booths/​chairs are all NEW! Ambiance just got whole LOT better!
We’re always a big party (big family) so booth is our go-​to! For some reason, we often get the round booth (corners) which is perfect because it’s the roomiest!
Today, I got the reindeer pancakes and they’re perfect for me because I often don’t finish my food. You get a choice of getting eggs and hash browns on the side. Chocolate and pancakes are the best combo!
Five stars all go to Daisy! Hands down. She’s normally our server and she’s just awesome.

Came here for a warm bowl of soup after a long New years day, and surprisingly they were open. Despite what other negative reviews others have left, we were quite pleased with our server and the food was good the soup was served hot. I would recommend Dennys for any late night snack.

Really good service and clean establishment. Breakfast was perfect after a long night and waking up to the pounding headache.

Don’t waste your money. Ruben was are server and… omg, it was bad. My husband food came out first, 15 mins later our did (now his was cold), my order was wrong, which is not a big deal I’ll deal with it. He forgot my toast, but he said he would bring it right out… I never revived my toast, and my girls never got their drinks… ever. Throughout the entire meal we all shared my drink… kind of gross. I think after Ruben half a$$ed served us, I think he went on break. We never saw him again, we had to keep asking other servers to find him, but he never came out. We had to wait 20 mins to get our bill… again… save ur money. This place has gone way down hill.

It is a very nice neighborhood Denny’s, and I come here weekly. It is always clean, good food and very friendly people… The manager Felix, is top notch, and a great guy… The waitresses are great as well, and they can’t be beat… Roxanne, Dara, Daisy, Melany, Monica and Amanda… I always look forward to my visits, and have been coming here since it opened.
The drawback from this Denny’s is, they don’t have enough waitresses, to take care of their evening patrons, especially on Sunday… Even a hostess, could seat them, give them menu’s get their beverages and take care of their check, when they are ready to pay.

Other than the wait and no acknowledgement at the beginning, the service switched and made up for it with my waitress Roxanne being so sweet and being prompt. The food was good.

Terrible Terrible service.
The server forgot our food, when he finally left it at our table he forgot to leave straws or silverware. He NEVER checked up on us and honestly looked scared to even speak.
Behind us a group of teenagers started fighting each other and the manager did close to nothing to diffuse the situation. He looked scared of those punks.
It went on for almost 10 minutes before he even said anything to begin with.
Definitely NOT someplace I would feel safe coming back to.
The food was good and the cook that night was the best part of the evening. This place was terrible from top to bottom.

The service was average. No high chairs for my toddler, which was unfortunate and the waiter wasn’t around much. The seating outside was nice. The wait staff was professional and friendly. The quality of food seems to have dropped. The hash browns were burnt and the eggs were off. A normal day in the life of dennys.

Our server, Angel was very friendly and fast. An extra employee or host/​cashier on hand wouldn’t hurt, though.

The great thing about Denny’s is … It’s always open. However, for whatever reason, they’re always understaffed. I made it a priority to bring this to the manager’s attention because I was just not having it.
I came here on a late Friday night/​early Saturday morning (2am). I entered the restaurant and the lady told me to pick a seat. We were given our menus and asked what we wanted to drink. Everything from then onwards was just a disappointment. I ordered a hot tea with honey on the side and my boyfriend, iced water. The waiter came back and took our order: 2x lumberjack with sunny side up eggs and wheat bread. We also ordered a root beer float. We waited a good 20 minutes before our food came and even then, we didn’t have our utensils. By now, the waiter forgot about my hot tea. He said he’ll fetch it right away. He came back with my hot tea and utensils. We ate and thought nothing of it. Three quarters through our meal and our root beer float still hasn’t arrived. The lady that sat across from us was not happy at all either. She ordered Mac n cheese and chicken strips. She got her Mac n cheese and soda, but her chicken strips were nowhere to be found even 30 minutes into the meal. She was really upset and stated that she will take off if her chicken strips don’t appear in the next ten minutes. We had to remind our waiter about our root beer float. Fast forward and I need a box for my food. I tried with all my might to get someone’s attention but they must have been all hiding in the back. When they came out, they either didn’t see me or refused to acknowledge me. I even shouted «hey homeboy!!» Nothing. Frustrated with the lack of attention, my boyfriend walked past the counter over to the manager who was furiously tapping away at the screen. Had I not known I was at Denny’s, I would have thought he was writing an essay. Anyways, my boyfriend asked for the box and check. A minute later, out of nowhere, our waiter appeared with the box and check. Where were you when we needed you. Jeez.
We paid for our meal and I told the manager I was not happy with the service. I told him he was understaffed and he gave me the lame excuse that they were more people tonight than he expected. LAME. It’s a Friday night; people are going to go out and drink and come to Denny’s after for a meal. It’s kind of expected that it’ll get busy at 2am. Lame excuse. And this is a lame excuse of a diner. I’d rather take my business elsewhere.

It is opened 24 hours, which is very good for those who wants to dine late. Came here at midnight with a couple of friends. Just a warning that service is a bit slow but that’s because it’s only 2 waiters and there are people seated at the tables. Waiters were nice and helpful when we were there. The food is always good. As college students, we tend to order from the $ 2,4,6,8 menu. **make sure you have to ask for it, they don’t tend to give those out automatically** I was craving a smoothie and wasn’t hungry. The smoothies are limited to 3 flavors. I ordered strawberry/​banana. It wasn’t good at all. It tasted very banana-​y and kinda weird to me. I didn’t end up finishing it. I feel that Denny’s is just a nice place to get food late at night.

My boyfriend and I went to this Denny’s to eat one late night and everything was nice. The waitress was nice. Food was okaaaay. But things took a different turn 10 minutes in. First off, the waitress likes to call me sweetie and honey, and let me tell you that I am a sucker for pet names when it’s coming from sweet older people. I just don’t like it coming from creeps! But that’s a whole different story… ANYWHO, yes. She is a very nice woman. But things got INCREDIBLY uncomfortable with my boyfriend and I when she started talking about God and Jesus. Don’t get me wrong. She is incredibly nice! But it’s late at night and we’re hungry. The last thing we wanted to hear about was Jesus and God.
Needless to say we left feeling very uncomfortable and didn’t want to come back. Yikes…

I love the convenience of a place where they can serve breakfast to you at almost at anytime. My buddy and I were a bit hungry after a late poker game at his home. This Long Beach branch is one I had been to numerous times. No issue with service, the servers are always polite.
