This is a cool Lon Beach joint with 3 location in the city. I love the vegan eggs Benedict.

Wow! I must say I was really impressed by this place! Came here for breakfast and not only was the food really good(and be warned you get a LOT of food), but the service was great as well. Not a very big place inside, but has outdoor seating in the back. I’ll be back to try their lunch one of these days. Highly recommended.

Our first time here. Staff was super friendly and helpful. It was cold and a bit drizzly this morning so they brought us coffee while we waited for our name to be called. The inside is small but there’s patio seating in back. I had heard about the fruity pebbles french toast but the french toast kabobs were calling so I got those with a side of potatoes. They’re basically slices of fruit, mini sausage patties, and french toast already cut up and then neatly arranged on the stick presented on a bed of perfectly scrambled eggs. My fiancé had the corned beef hash and eggs. All good. I was so stuffed, I brought at least half home.(Second breakfast! Yay!) And they were quick with the coffee refills too. Our cups were never empty!

I’m guessing this another addition to The Pot Holder Café in downtown Long Beach I ordered the Super Spuds. I was about to add bacon for $ 1 extra yet, I was in a rush to eat before work. The quality of the food is good and authentic. Real potatoes and avocado. The interior has an interesting vintage vibe. I compliment the table set up with all the condiments ready for use. Service was great and quick. Only 3 Stars because the food did take a little longer than expected. Other than that, will come back to try more items on the menu!

The service was fantastic. The food was delicious and the portions well worth it. My only issue was the Champagne used for the bottomless mimosas was absolutely terrible. Chugging budlight would have been better. But the food and service were absolutely great and well worth it. Michelle was phenomenal.

As much as I want to give this place 4 stars for their excellent service, I have to stand at 2.5, rounded up. Our server was on point and really attentive, but unfortunately that doesn’t help improve the overall taste of the food. Started off with a cup of joe($ 2.95) and a glass of orange juice($ 2.95 for small, $ 3.95 for large). — Coffee was strong and at the right temperature while we sat in their outdoor patio. — I loved that their«small» oj was a generous 16oz glass of freshly-squeezed pulpy goodness! My dish left much to be desired. My own fault for thinking pastrami was the way to go at 8am. Well shit… in my lame defense, I just got off the plane after a sleepless red-eye flight… I wasn’t in my right mind. I should’ve listened to my gut and went with my 1st choice instead, the chicken fried steak, lol. HOTPASTRAMISANDWICH($ 10.95): Comes with a choice of curly fries, home fries, fruit, salad or cottage cheese. — I got mines with fries. The curly fries was the best thing on my plate. Perfectly crispy and seasoned. Every single piece was tasty and crunchy. — The pastrami sandwich itself was a hot mess. The meat was sliced thin but somehow was still hard to bite into. It was chewy and sinewy. — The worse part was that the entire sandwich was overpowered with mustard. A crapload of mustard was slathered on BOTH pieces of bread AND spooned on top of my pastrami. Altogether there were 3 thick layers of mustard in my sammich, the frak? Was the mustard on sale or something at Costco? All I could taste was mustard and pickles(yep, the cook was quite generous with the sliced pickles as well). My best advice is to get the mustard on the side. Or just skip this sandwich altogether. Damn it, I knew I should’ve gotten the chicken fried steak. Or at least went on a Saturday and get hooched up on their bottomless mimosas instead. It’s only $ 7.95 with your Unilocal Check-In.

This place has a small diner feel with indoor and outdoor seating. I’ve driven by this place several times, and I finally decided to stop in for lunch. The waitress was very nice, and friendly. I ordered the breakfast chorizo burrito. The potatoes were cold which was a disappointment. The actual burrito was good. I asked for the toppings on the side. They give you two burritos instead of one, so it’s definitely a plate for two. I need to come back and try something different. I give the customer service a 5, food I would rate today a 3. So for today they’ll get 4 stars.

Came here the other day, because it was breakfast, and I’m the type of person who likes having breakfast food. First off their hash browns were really really good! I got their fried steak meal, which was pretty good. I like it when it’s all smothered in gravy. This one was alright. It wasn’t like soaked in gravy, like I usually would like. I got their eggs over easy which is alright for me. I personally like my eggs scrambled, but I was trying something new out. I’d like to mention that if you come here, be prepared to wait for your food. I think we waited around 30 minutes before our food came out, which kind of sucks, but I still would come back just for their hashbrowns!

I hate to write a bad review about this place because we had an awesome breakfast yesterday, and waited only 15mins to eat. Today, we were told the wait would be 20mins. We waited closer to 40mins just to be seated. They called in a few groups that signed in after us, before us. When we were finally seated, there were four clean booths ready inside. They said they weren’t seating because the kitchen was backed up. We asked how much longer to receive our food and they admitted that it would be another 20mins(likely more). We advised them that they should be honest with people about how long it will take to get their food. If the kitchen is backed up… Say so! Let people decide whether they’re willing to wait an hour or so to eat! Rich(the owner) — tell people how long it will be if there are serious delays! You won new customers yesterday and lost them today. We will not likely be back.

Great menu — so much variety! They even have selections for vegetarians, vegans, and those wanting/needing gluten free items. I had the cinnamon roll pancakes. They give you 3 large(plate sized) pancakes with cinnamon swirl in the pancake — just like a cinnamon roll. How they do this, I’m not sure. However, they were tasty and I added syrup so felt this was an extremely decant breakfast. I can’t wait to go back and try the breakfast enchiladas.

There was a line out the door. It is usually a pretty good indication to me that the food is good. People were getting takeout as well as waiting to sit in either the small restaurant or out on the patio. First, good coffee. Even while waiting, they offer coffee to folks in line. That is a nice touch. Because we are vegan, we were very interested in their vegan breakfast offerings. We were not disappointed by our selections. We ate before remembering to take pictures — next time! My hubby got this stuffed potato thing that was really loaded with vegetables, and I had a breakfast burrito with tofu that was really tasty. Both the hostess and our server were really friendly. The hostess especially spent time explaining what to do when I came back with a group in a few weeks, to make sure we didn’t have to wait too long. I think my friends, both omnis and vegans like us, will be happy that we decided to choose this location. Breakfast with tip and coffee for two was $ 31. Definitely reasonable.

First time visiting, spot was recommended by a good friend who’s been to all 3 locations. Small, laid back straight to the delicious point. CHECKABOVEFORPICS Breakfast burrito with sirloin steak — added spinach and jalapeños instead of fries. Waitress added my items with ease. Feeding my body Quality food Is Everything. Steak is thick and a little tuff but still tasty The Couch — amazing !!

Cute set-up: cozy dining room inside, outdoor patio seating outside. Lots of options on the menu including some vegan, vegetarian & gluten-free choices. I ordered the«Barroom Eggs» which is a scrambled spicy beef dish. It’s not spicy at all(for me, anyway), but it is very tasty. Our server was very attentive and checked up on us several times. The prices are very reasonable. Welcome to the neighborhood, Potholder. Glad you’re here. :-)

Being home in Long Beach has gotten just a little bit better with this location walking distance from my house! Came on Monday of Memorial Day Weekend and only had a short 10 minute wait with some coffee to start us off. There is seating inside as well as seating in the back patio area, perfect for beautiful mornings. I got the Sailor Omelette — Spinach, tomatoes, mushrooms, & jack cheese with potatoes and substituted biscuits & gravy. The best part of the meal was the smashed potatoes! Perfectly crisp and moist. $ 9.95 + $ 1.95 for the biscuits & gravy. Boyfriend got the Breakfast Tostada which he loved! Came on a plate with a mound of Mexican style breakfast goodness. Said the only thing that would have made it better were if the eggs were over easy on top instead of all scrambled. A little bit pricey overall for breakfast(~$ 35 for two people with drinks), but will most likely come back if I am in my home town craving breakfast and too lazy to drive.

This location has been a failed restaurant location for as long as I’ve lived in Long Beach. I wish I could review the servers and the food separately. The server — The gal who served us was incredibly sweet and cheerful. She was really on point with the coffee refills, came to check up on us at appropriate intervals, and always had a smile on her face. The atmosphere — It is VERY small in side. Like, claustrophobic small. They have a patio out back(which is awesome). I’ve heard there is often a line out the door on the weekend, but it’s not because the food is amazing, it’s a capacity problem(just like the other two Potholder Cafes). The food — For me, the true test of a breakfast spot is not the breakfast burrito; it is the biscuits and gravy. Unfortunately, this is where it all went wrong. I took two bites and gave it back to the server to have it warmed. There was a sour taste, but I ate it anyway. Big mistake. I was sick for the rest of the night. Not fun. Will I give them another shot? Perhaps. To be honest, I found it overpriced($ 35 for two people including coffee). Just way too much for breakfast, especially when a similar spot with similar food is usually less than $ 20 and is less than a mile away.

Welp… that’s a shame. Pancakes: over-mixed/tough/hard to cut with a fork. Scrambled Eggs: salty, super greasy, and not fluffy. California Dip(similar to a French dip): the choice of bread is awful. As soon as it hits the dip, it disintegrates, turning into a wet, gummy paste, and no longer holds the sandwich together at all. Potatoes: not crispy, …and mine had a hair in it. We both stopped eating immediately. Wait staff: awesome. Very attentive and friendly. Our waitress took care of the hair-situation promptly. Will not be returning.

Im so happy a place to eat within walking distance had opened! I’ve been watching this location for a while and have seen a number of eatery’s come and go. So I’m by far ecstatic that a good place has finally established itself to stay in the neighborhood. I can only review based on breakfast, food was great, service was superb and did I mention its in walking distance from my house? YESSSSS… Can’t wait for the grand opening where we will get to order alcoholic beverages with breakfast, cuz nothing says drunk like booze with breakfast. Anyhoo, come to this place and support a local business that offers a great variety of whatever type of breakfast you crave(vegan, meaty, alcoholic) short wait and good service! P3 will definitely be my new local eatery =)
