Jim Jones, professional plumber and entreprenuer, started his first plumbing business over 40 years ago. He started the business in 1980 and then, in 1984, incorporated J & D Contractors with Robert Mungo, experienced contractor and business man. Together they have been providing quality service to Southern California for over thirty years.

We are insured and experienced at working in condo’s and high-​rises. We can also work direct with HOA’s.

Service Home Warranty sent the Home Plumbers to our home to correct a stopped drain. Alex looked and said he could nothing unless we installed a second clean-​out at the back bathroom. It would cost $ 2800 to $ 3500 and then the drain could be cleared. He may have thought he had senior citizens who were easy marks. I said I wanted to talk to SHW before proceeding. I called another company, J&D Plumbing in Long Beach and on the phone said it should not cost that much. The man came to house, could not snake the line from the clean-​out and had to lift the toiled and was successful from there. The total charge was $ 176. Hooray for J&D Plumbing. They are trustworthy, do good work and do not try to gouge you. We have used them before and certain will use them and recommend them. A reliable company.

Great job! We had a grease and food clog in a kitchen drain that I couldn’t clear on my own. I called J&D around 4:00pm and a very nice lady said one of her guys was just finishing a job in the area. By 4:10 Steve H was pulling into the driveway. He was professional and friendly. By 4:30 the clog was cleared and he was on his way for under $ 100. I couldn’t be happier with all aspects of this experience.

J&D Plumbing saved the day! Steven arrived to my rental house on a Thursday to address a leak under the home. It turned out to be a sewage and drain line that broke. Steven was very good at explaining the problem and giving multiple solutions to fix my plumbing. Buddy and Steven were able to communicate to tenants at the home and work around their schedule. Buddy and Steven worked on a holiday weekend,
to redo the plumbing under the house and to get it to code. Steven was extra attentive and even called to make sure everything was working well and to make sure I was happy with the service. I would highly recommend J&D Plumbing to anyone needing plumbing services.

It is a rare thing to really find a good, reliable plumber. I can try and do the plumbing by spending the whole weekend banging up my head and fingers and making multiple trips to Home Depot. Or, I call J & D plumbing and get the job done quickly, cleanly and at a fair price. Just recently they installed 3 new toilets in our house. Wow, what luxury to have new ones.

Plumbing repairs are the last thing a home owner wants to think about. When you have a problem you are super dependent on knowing the integrity of the company you have asked to assist you. Our shower knob stripped and we could not use the shower. Bob Mungo at J and D plumbing went out of his way to do a extra ordinary job without tearing into the tile and wall. This all happened on a Saturday, super happy with the outcome. I thought the pricing was fair, quality is not cheap. Great company

J & D plumbing has always come through when needed. A little over a year ago I had to change the dishwasher and discovered that the prior owner Had the wrong connections. All the plumbers I contacted told me that they Would have to do a construction job and that the job would take a few days. When J & D Plumbing came out, they did all the work in a day and at a very reasonable price. The plumbers are professional and on time! Cannot say enough positive things about this company!

I had a plumbing emergency last week and J&D saved me from a potential nightmare. I’ve been living in my house for 15yrs and in the last few I’ve had constant problems w my main line. Diana in the office got Sal out quickly. He took care of the issue and put a camera down the line to show me the problem all w in an hour. And the price was half of what I’ve been paying. Sal and Diana have also put me on a maintenance program twice a year which will still be cheaper than one visit from my now previous plumber. I highly recommend J&D… professional, prompt, knowledgeable, and helpful. I highly recommend them and will continue to use them. Plumbing is nothing to mess with ;) so call them.

J & D is incredible. They put in a recirculating hot water system, new water heater, plumbing for the new master suite they did for me. My room looks like an expensive spa now. They also hooked up my new Smart T.V., redid my Jacuzzi area. They are totally honest and reliable. The owner, Bobby Mungo had coached my Realtor’s sons little league and the Mungos adopted 3 boys. Salt of the earth and beautiful work. A pleasure to work with. Already planning my next project with them. They can do it all.

These guys are great! Our HVAC’s backup fluid valve was installed incorrectly (Not installed by J&D) and water was dripping onto our patio constantly. J&D showed up within 2 hours of calling and had the problem fixed in less than an hour. Fast, clean and very reasonably priced. I’m happy to have an «HVAC Guy» now. Highly recommended.

J&D has been to our house on two occasions and done an exceptional job. I have a very old house with old plumbing. They showed up quickly when I had two emergency plumbing situations and fixed the two separate issues quickly, efficiently, and at a reasonable price. We did get quotes from other plumbers as a point of reference, and J&D had the best price. We will only use them now – they are great!

I called J & D Plumbers for an estimate after 5PM estimated cost $ 260 after hours. Because we are a laundromat it is important to get up and running quickly. They were great but were unable to help until the next morning as they needed another man. They did a great job on the work end but the cost remained the same $ 260 for Regular Daytime Hours. The guys were professional and it just took about 2 hours to get done. If you need a plumber this company is great they will show up and get the job done.

I really don’t know how the first reviewer can say this about this company since our condo association is so dissatisfied with their lack of service they’re banned from coming here.
We had been without heat for almost a week waiting. When they came, the guy servicing it was very arrogant and it was fixed one day before breaking again. He was supposed to arrive today to fix it, but he called (after we called his boss to check on his whereabouts at 4pm) to say Monday was busy and he would come tomorrow.
He didn’t realize he butt dialed back and I overheard him laughing with an associate that he had blown us off. Not happy. At all.
