Dr. Evans was a great dentist. I don’t like dentist but I really liked going to Dr. Evans because he made me feel comfortable. Recently Dr. Evans retired and Dr. Joseph Marvizi took over his practice. Now with the new management the office is horrible. The front desk receptionist are horrible. They are rude and disrespectful. They treat their customers as if your not paying money for a service. Worst service ever. I will not return to this location because the new management is horrible and I do not want to give them my business. If I could give them a negative star I would.

I have been a patient of Dr Evans since 1990. He is the best with a tremendous amount of knowledge, skill and compassion. He is a perfectionist through and through, which makes me confident that what goes in my mouth will be the best dentistry has to offer!
I am thrilled to see he is still practicing and did not retire, as I was told by those in the Long Beach office. He is, happily, in Newport Beach with Dr John Chrispens.

I have been seeing Dr Evans for 38 years. It is rare to say that it is a pleasure going to the dentist, but with Dr. Evans and his caring staff, it has been just that. He is a very caring and skillful person. He has performed many procedures including extractions, crowns, veneers and others. He has always taken the time to discuss my issues and explain the options to make sure that I was comfortable with the path forward. His staff always went the extra mile to ensure that my insurance company was billed, and that they paid the proper amount toward the procedures in order to reduce any charges that I might have to pay. Dr. Evans has continued to bring in state of the art equipment and use updated procedures to ensure that I had the best care possible.
However, his office changed ownership some time back, and the last time that I went in, most or all of the staff was new, the reception area was cold and uninviting, and the hygienist tried to «upsell» me on procedures that I did not feel were needed. I felt that I was being pressured just to get additional revenue for them. My wife has been seeing Dr. Evans for the past couple of years, and loved the level of care she was getting until the recent ownership change. She had a very bad impression of the new dentist that took over the office, and noticed a very high turnover of staff.
As I searched this Unilocal site, I saw that someone stated in a review that Dr Evans is no longer at the office, and someone heard that he is working out of Costa Mesa. A search of the internet yielded his new office address in Newport Beach.
My wife and I will definitely be going there for all of our dental work in the future. If I were to rate Dr. Evans on a 1 to 10 scale, I would give him an 11. The rating of 5 stars on this site is a reflection of my high regard for Dr Evans and not the present unfortunate state of affairs at his previous office in Long Beach.

My boss goes to Dr. Evans — whom i have no issues with (my boss seems to like him & he has pretty high standards). However, its really unfortunate that he can’t get a better staff. The receptions (angeliquee) is not helpful WHATSOEVER. After calling several times over the last week and a half (i was trying to order a medicine for his gums which he has ordered multiple times in the past) i finally got a response. Everytime i called, she seems put off by the fact i was calling again– and made me feel like she just didn’t want to help, PERIOD. Everytime i called to ask to order it she would brush me off and say she had to check their inventory to see if they even had any. I said thats fine and she said she would call back, this was on a thursday. I never received any calls back, the only contact i ever had with that office was the several times i had to call back over that 1 ½ weeks (If you can’t keep your word about returning someone’s call then you shouldn’t say you will, she should have just told me to call back again **but i suppose that would mean she’d have to pretend to make an attempt to help me, again.). Honestly, they need to realize that as a receptionist– you are the face of the business, you are the first person we talk to, you are the first impression of your company– & when you mess that up by letting the ball drop several times, not being polite or friendly or just making it seem that you aren’t genuine in wanting to help. Thats a business killer. Jeez this wasn’t even my own dentist & look what a horrible taste they left in my mouth already– enough to write a full blown paragraph. Funny thing was they did have it in stock, made me wonder wtf she was doing this whole time every time id ask if she had checked yet…

I’ve been seeing Dr. Evans since moving back from Europe over 5 years ago and he’s a great dentist. Not only does he explain things and work to get the best results but he wants his patients to be comfortable and happy with the results as well. By far the best dentist I’ve ever had.

I wouldn’t get my teeth cleaned anywhere else! I’ve been coming to Dr. Evans office since I was a little girl! My family and I moved so I tried a place closer but ended back at Dr. Evan’s office! The staff are always great and welcoming, as is Dr. Evans.

You know how people say «If you love it so much, why don’t you marry it?» They should always say this to me when i gush about how AMAZING and FANTASTIC Dr. Evans is. He is a genius, truly excellent dentist with an amazing attitude and a beautiful office. His staff is also routinely excellent. If every business could be as fantastic as this one we’d live in a much more fun world! I’m sure there are so few reviews only because the man does not need them! He gets tons of referrals because he is a genius at what he does. Love Love Love. Would give 10 stars if I could.

I simply do not understand how Dr Evans only has one review on Unilocal!
Let’s just put it this way… I now live in San Juan Capistrano and I still drive all the way to Long Beach to see Dr Evans and his team. They are like family. It’s like going to the dentist at Cheers… they know your name… and they’re happy to see you! Jen is the hygienist for my entire extended family and she is like a family member. We all love Dr Evans and his staff.
Not only are they warm and wonderful, but they are the most competent dental staff I’ve ever experienced. I am super OCD about my teeth and I won’t trust them to anyone else! The office is clean and they are up on the latest technology.
Look no further, make your heart and your teeth happy and go see Dr Evans. :)

Dr. Evans is my new dentist. Everything he does uses the most modern equipment and techniques. My dental work was actually painless, and the two procedures over the last two appointments could have been just awful, and they were not.
I am happy to recommend Dr. Evans.

If I could give Dr. Evans more than 5 stars I would. He is very kind, caring, and best thing of all EXTREMELY gentle. Great with kids. Makes them feel very comfortable and letting them tell him when to take a break if needed. He puts the patient in control of their care.
The hygenist staff is always kind, and gentle, and above all never ever late for appointments. My toddler had her first appointment with them a few month’s back and they helped her ease right into getting her check up’s. When we left she even asked when we could go back again. That’s impressive to me as a parent.
I am a life long patient, I refuse to go anywhere else. And my family see’s Dr. Evans as well. I have referred several people to him and they are always impressed.

I have been coming to Dr Evans for over 2 years and I highly recommend this dentist. His staff is very friendly and helpful. The office looks very clean and organized. Ask for Andrew!

I’ve been going to Dr. Evans for more than 30 years
and my parents went to his father.
He has a nice office conveniently located off the 405 at Long Beach Blvd.
The office is staffed with excellent Hygienists to keep your teeth healthy, so you don’t require excess dental work.
If you need a great dentist he is the optimal choice.

Dr. Evans has more knowledge and expertise than any dentist I have ever met. He continues to stay on the cutting edge of dentistry and will never compromise on patient care. I am very fortunate to have such a great health care provider.

Dr. Evans is the best dentist in America. He has worked on my teeth for 30 years from routine maintenance to root canal and now to implants. No one is better.

I am a long time patient of Dr. Evans. I would not trust anyone else to treat my family, because that’s how I am treated in their office, like family. Prompt and courteous service with no pain. Plain and simple, it doesn’t get better than this.
