ROBBERS! Worst experience!
Allow me to share with you how Dr. Marvizi’s office STOLE FROM ME, MISTREATED ME AND FAILED to provide proper and acceptable dental care.
I was in the middle of my Invisalign treatment when life relocated me to another state. Dr. Marvizi’s group was incredibly accommodating at the time, and willing to help me transition into a dental office of their choice and recommendation in my new city.
My case didn’t proceed according to the expectations and I needed a refinement, which it had already been billed to my case, a $ 4,500 case. To my surprise, once I went into the new dental office, I learned Dr. Marvizi’s group declined to share my treatment info with them as well as the remaining funding I had built, in case a refinement was needed. Dr. Marvizi just pocketed that money and pretty much left me completely exposed and without the ability to finish my treatment.
I started communicating with Dr. Marvizi’s group back in May 2015, and it took them until September last year to tell me that they weren’t willing to assist me. During those four months, the new dental office, the Invisalign customer service rep and I made unlimited phone calls in order to try finding a resolution; left numerous voicemails that were never returned. In fact, to show you how frustrating and ridiculous this situation got, the office at Dr. Marvizi wouldn’t pick up my calls when my caller ID was shown, but if I were to call a minute later from a different phone number or blocked caller ID, they would automatically pick up. AKA THEY WERE DITCHING ME and PLAYING WITH MY HEALTH, as I have been wearing the same last tray since May, 2015.
In Sept. when they finally told me they were not going to help me, I asked them to then ship my retainers (which all along I was told I get the first set of retainers free of additional charge). They took down my address and said it would take 2 to 3 weeks for them to receive them and ship them my way.
Well the end of November came around, and I hadn’t received anything. I decided to call back, and yet again they wouldn’t pick up so I left a voicemail and asked to be called back. Did they call you? Well, neither they called me. I returned to the blocking ID process, and guess what, THEY ANSWERED.
Apparently, now I have to pay for my retainers if I want them, because NOW the retainers weren’t part of my plan.
After multiple calls, in February I got to speak to the nurse that used to treat me, and to my surprise, she was like «no, we will help you and find you an office in Portland that can help you finish your treatment. Let me find one for you and talk to our office manager.» I continued to call and the office manager picked up, ask me to be on hold for a second, and then left me holding for 1:44 HOURS.
They went back to not returning my voicemails, or answering my calls, so after 14 months of dealing with this, I’ve decided to go ahead and make a complain.
It has been the most frustrating and costly process I have ever been in. I don’t know how these people call themselves doctors. They definitely do not care about your health, their only purpose is money, to a point they are willing to STEAL IT FROM YOU in an amazing fashion.
My outcome from this situation, a $ 4500 debt in my bank account, a smile that isn’t as beautiful as what I paid for and promised, and the mistreatment and lies from their staff.

I used to be pretty happy with Dr. Marvizi’s practice. They were a little in the pricey side but everyone was pretty nice and they had early enough hours to accommodate my schedule. At my last cleaning, however, I was told that there was something weird on my X-​ray and they would call for a follow up. They called and asked me to come back in and when I did, the hygienist came in and said «so, we’re doing a crown today, I see.» Never once had I been told about this and after protesting, Dr. Rayhan came in, double checked my X-​rays and said «no, you don’t need a crown. Your teeth are fine.» Apparently, Dr. Marvizi either didn’t read my X-​ray correctly or misread my file but either way, I was called in for a crown that I wasn’t told about and didn’t need. Reading an X-​ray seems like a pretty basic part of the job and if that can’t be done correctly, what other mistakes are being made? It’s hard to find a dentist you can trust and I no longer do. We will be looking elsewhere.

I have been a patient of Dr Marvizi for at least 10 years. Since day one, I have been happy with him and his staff. Everyone is so nice and compassionate. Dr. Marvizi is an excellent dentist. The office in long beach is where I go. It always clean, and you feel comfortable. He has some really nice, comfy sofas and there is DVD playing continuously explaining common procedures.
Everyone is happy, smiling and greet their patients personally. And to me that’s important. I feel that they really do care when they ask me how im doing, or ask me about my son.

I live in West Hollywood and go to Dr. Marvizi on Wilshire. I have been a patient of his for more than 20 years. Working in the film business, my teeth have always been extraordinarily important… not only for the health of my mouth but the way they look.
He is hands down the best dentist I have ever been to. He has such good taste and does the BEST veneers that you could ever hope for. The front office, run by Sima is top notch and I have always known
I was in such good hands. Whenever I am in NY, I always wait until I get home to have Dr. Marvizi do my work. I would never think of going to anyone else. Knowing that he is so cutting edge when it comes to the latest technology, and the office is so accommodating is one reason I have continued to stay with him. I could not ask for a better dentist. I went to the Marvizi office for an invisalign consultation. While the staff was REALLY friendly they were quite unprepared for my visit. Considering this location is rated as an elite invsalign provider I would have expected them to have everything they needed ready and waiting but instead they had to leave on multiple occasions to get the information/​supplies required.
good news is the consultation is free and the office is very clean and up to date.
bad news is they are a bit more expensive than others (probably due to the elite status) but I’m wary about paying that much for a service when they were all discombobulated over a consultation
If the guy I met with wasn’t so impressive in his knowledge (not the guy in the photo) then I probably would have given 2 stars.

I read simi’s response to my post. Less than apologetic and more cya (cover your a**). The water pick exploded in my mouth, so much so that the tech stopped using it. And… I asked the office assistant/​tooth polisher if she had a cold, and she said yes. She mentioned nothing about allergies. .I should have left then but I didn’t, my bad. I work in health care, and I know that the masks that she was using are only effective for 20 minutes. And… it was not explained to me that the dentist I was to be seeing had an emergency. Actually, I was told that she doesn’t even work at the long beach office on Wednesdays, the day I came in. Service recovery? I’m not seeing it.

Sorry to hear of others bad experiences. I was just there on 1÷16÷14 and had another great experience without any negative events.
