Looks like this place is closed. And I completely understand why. I went here a couple months ago and was genuinely confused by the entire dining experience. My server had no idea what the f*ck she was doing. She: 1) Did not know where to seat us… we walked back to the other side of the restaurant because we were initially taken to a dirty, uncleaned table 2) Took freaking FOREVER to come back to our table to take our order 3) Did not write down our orders ANDTHEN had the nerve to ask US to repeat our own orders back to her 4) Did not offer us water, nor did not offer us refills once we had finally received the water from ANOTHER server 5) Did not keep quiet, as we he heard her and/or other fellow employees bad-mouthing and gossiping about others while on the job around customers 6) Did not offer us any take out boxes(only game tickets) following the meal The food also tasted like a crappy frozen dinner that was microwaved. They get 1 star for their arcade because I won over 2000 tickets in the Plinko game that day.

Wow, absolutely nothing to do anymore in downtown Long Beach, especially at the Pike! Nice empty buildings, no businesses or additional attractions to see and spend money. You can only eat so much, you can only drink so much and look at fish and go onboard the Queen Mary. What happened to the outlet they’re supposed to put in here? Down the drain too??? Does the city want tourists to know LB residents aren’t into fashion and entertainment? If you want to gain 20 lbs, come to the Pike… you can increase your calorie uptake in record time! Depressing and there’s no style here at all. Why can’t it be like the LINQ in Vegas? So exciting every step of the way and soooo much to see and do! Bleah! No bueno here in downtown Long Beach!

KDBISOFFICIALLYCLOSED!!! It seems like everything in Long Beach is closing. Mai Tai Bar, which was a great night time spot, closed recently also. KDB in LB wasn’t that great to me but it was at least something to do. Food was meh and the staff was meh. The games were the attraction. I don’t know what’s going on with Long Beach but there are a lot of vacant businesses lately. Pretty soon there will be no reason for me to come to the pike.

This place is closed. I saw a Kid crying outside the door so thought I had better post. There is a Chucky Cheese not far if you have promised your kid a games-esque outing.

*BUSINESSCLOSEDASOF9/1/2014* My wife and I love this place. We were sad when we were told by the entire staff last night that it was their last night. The complex owner told the business it was closing to make room for retail shops. They only gave the staff a few days notice. Pretty cold in my opinion.

Hubby and I come here for Happy Hour on Thursdays and Friday to watch whatever game is on and to hang out. On Thursday happy hour they have a live band that performs and also does karaōke. The band alone is great. The people that sing karaōke on the other hand are funny. The drinks are cheap which is good. I dont know a place where you can get $ 2.50 well drinks and $ 2.00 beers on tap. They also have a happy hour food menu that is pretty good. There happy hour on thursday and friday is from 3pm til they close. The cool thing that I really like is after 10pm it’s 21 and over. The staff is cool and friendly. I will say this if you sit at the bar area where they bowling section is the smell of the beer and cleaning products is horrible. Hubby and I had to get up and go to another table across the room so we could not smell the smell. Overall experiences have been good.

I blame the management. This place was once a really enjoyable place to come. Now they lack the desire to attain decent levels of customer service. Don’t waste your money or time trying to go bowling. The attendant won’t greet you or help you until you say something to him for him to take a hint you would like service. The line is starting to really back up and everyone in line is looking confused and frustrated why only 4 of the 10 lanes were being used. The staff was too incompetent to keep up with the minor flow of customers, leaving 6 lanes unused and 5 people waiting to bowl. 20 minutes later I notice they start letting people bowl that had just walked in. I had been forgotten about. At this point I just took my disappointed 4 year old to a different bowling alley and had a wonderful night. I felt very disrespected when trying to get answers to what was going on.

This place has an arcade and bowling alley, restaurant, and bar similar to Dave and Busters. So… it’s probably a notch down from Dave and Busters. I’m going to give it a Three Star only because I would rather be eating a bowl of Phở right now. What the Phở!

I remember when this place use to be Gameworks… which I thought was better and don’t know why it turned into KDB. So KDB is what I feel a cheaper version of Gameworks and D&B. The crowd was actually more ghetto once it turned KDB and the place got ran down fast. Lately it’s kept itself clean and now has better security. The game selection is less than what it use to be, it offers a new bar area in the middle of the main floor, small bar near the restaurant dining area, big bowling alley, and prize booth for people playing the games that spit out tickets. They also have a party room for people who wants to rent it out for events. Parking is very limited so I usually park in the structure behind Hooters. There’s plenty to do in the area so you’re not limited to KDB. Overall the place cleaned up its act and offers a chill environment for adults and kids.

This place is actually pretty fun. However you need a million tickets to get a prize actually worth getting… but then you can just buy that shit yourself from the store with the amount of money you spend playing games. But when you’re drunk it’s hard not to play games. They have late night happy hour. And I love places that have it. I haven’t tried any of the food, but their pizza looks good

Thanks but no thanks. This is a small somewhat fancy restaurant with a game room and bar 10 – 15 feet away, the reason I say fancy was because they needed a host to seat you when it wasn’t even busy. Talk about being judgmental, apparently you need to be dressed up to have lunch/dinner at this place. They brought us the check almost immediately as if they wanted us out… I just didn’t like their service, I didn’t feel welcomed.

A fun D&B ripoff lol. Games are fun, though a few were clearly broken for awhile. The pitchers of beer are very reasonably priced. Big setback: they advertise the bowling in the back, but the prices are Lucky Strike high for lanes that aren’t special like Lucky Strike. Also, on a weekend night if you’re there after 8pm you’ll never get a lane. The video games are regular price though, and fun.

Pros: it’s a smaller version of Dave & Busters right next to the ocean, and possibly cheaper as well. The food is good here. They put a twist on a few of their dishes that you don’t see else where. Cons: upon playing in the arcade, each individual ticket is worth 2 in one, which means if you play a game and score 5 tickets, you will receive only 4 tickets. It’s a pretty big deal when you have two kids who have to split the tickets. Also if you spend a good amount of money and they swindle you on every game. For every one ticket you don’t receive on an odd number of points on 50 machines(for example) at the end of the day adds up. Spoke to a lady who worked here in regards to the matter and she basically said there was nothing they could do about it. After spending $ 50.00 plus an additional $ 1 for the play card, they should reward us with every point and ticket earned. You don’t get the bang for your buck at this arcade!

The revamped menu still reflects what we love about KDB:) the wings are still delicious and portions are huge! Happy hour is from 3pm to 7pm Mon-Wed and 3pm till closing the rest of the week. So many choices!

The venue itself is just okay and the bowling can get pricey BUTKDB gets 4 stars from me because Friday is 3pm-close happy hour! Well drinks are only $ 2.50-$ 3 =) Can ya beat it?! Vodka tonic, tequila sunrise, 2 shocktops, 20 wings, southern eggrolls, french fries & mac n cheese bites + great company for $ 36. I’m not too sure if this is only at the bar since the past 2 times i’ve come for Friday HH, i have only sat around the bar or ordered there to bring to the tables or the bowling area. It’s not that packed i hear until about after dinner time. Def a great happy hour place to go to. 20 wings for $ 9.50 — come on … The eggrolls weren’t as crispy as I liked but i guess its personal preference since my friend really enjoyed them. Park at the Pike structure. It’s 90 minutes free(maybe with validation?) not too sure since I have a monthly parker card. About a 2 – 3 minute walk from KDB!

Great place to drink and play arcade games! Didn’t try the food, but loved this Dave and Buster’s-esque spot in Downtown Long Beach! Drink selection was mediocre, but it was good enough for what we needed. Bowling alley has great specials on Mondays too! Staff kinda did their own thing, though. Some of the machines/card readers were out of order with no one on repair duty. Other than that the place was cool.

We just had our futsal team party here and it was great! We were lucky enough to go on Friday and hit the happy hour. It was so cheap! We saved so much on food. All the apps and sliders were half off. That is a reason to go all on its own. If you can plan a daytime party here, DOIT! After the sun goes down this place starts to get, how do I say, GHETTO! Do not let your kids hang out here after 8 or 9. They will see things you can usually only see on the internet. They say it is 21 and up after 10, but I didn’t see anyone enforcing the rules. After I saw that the doorman was drunker than most of the patrons our group decided to leave.

Some friends and were crashing my sisters date yesterday and were hungry. We saw the menu outside of this place and decided to give it a try. I didnt know their was an arcade inside, pretty cool. Im not into arcade games but its nice to have a place that can cater to the kids/young adults then the grown folks can chill at the bar. The menu prices were very reasonable. $ 8 for 4 sliders and fries… great deal. Most alcoholic drinks started at $ 7 which was cool and they had a nice variety on the menu as well. We ordered the turkey and avacodo sliders, buffalo sliders and carribean egg rolls. I had the Maliblue and it was good, similiar to the flavor of an adiós. The egg rolls werent that great. They were bland and the so called malibu rum dipping sauce taste like sour cream. The pineapple salsa was good tho. The sliders were ok… nothing special. The service was good, dont remember the name of our waiter but he was nice and attentive. I’ll probably return to bring my mini me to play some games and have a drink at the bar but i’ll skip the food.

Thursday and Friday all night ½ app, well drinks and cocktails! Like a Dave & Buster, however, much more younger crowd here. It has it’s similarities and differences with Dave & Buster like a family restaurant, game, and bar then difference is that KDB has a bowling alley! Yes, a bowling alley that is built inside. Whoa right? I forgot the prices for bowling, but I’m sure you can check by calling them. What I’ve noticed? — Minors tend to come here with their friends to hang out. After 10pm is whent there’s a bouncer sitting outside carding. Like Dave & buster but without the crazy security scanning system though. — After dinner don’t know what to do? Bring your date here! Only if you know your date would not mind the minors. — Thursday and Friday is their all night ½ app, well drinks and cocktails! Perfect for those who are at age to drink. Gotta love having a drink in hand and the other holding tickets. :) Drink responsible when the minors are around. At least, try to! Remember to validate your parking ticket!

**DININGAREAREVIEWONLY** My friend and I had lunch at KDB on a weekday. Not bad. It doesn’t get packed during lunch, and no one is really in the arcade/bowling area during those times. You get a nice and peaceful meal that is actually pretty decent. KDB’s menu is pretty extensive for lunch and contains some lunch specials for a reasonable price(they serve alcohol also for those who can drink cocktails for lunch away from work). I had their special house salad which the waiter recommended to us(it was more gourmet than your regular house salad) adding blue cheese, apple slices and mixed greens rather that your romaine. Their BLT half sandwich was super huge(that’s what I wish she said) and the half sandwich coupled with the salad made a pretty good lunch special. The waiters, hostess and staff were all pleasant even though we rained on their food prep hour when they just opened. BTW…check out their Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer which was soooo good!
