Marina Motel

If I could give this ignorant foreigner a half of star i would. I’m a military veteran and she came up with every excuse not to let me stay the night in this hotel. Was happy to learn that the Days Inn a few miles west on PCH provided better accommodations and gave a 10 percent military discount.

My fiancé and I was pleased with our stay at the Marina Motel. The cost is a reasonable $ 75 plus tax. I am not a fan of motels, but this particular one is well-​maintained. The manager is strict and does not allow guests of the tenants, which is understandable. The room is very comfortable and clean, and did not have any stench to it, like others I have been to. I would definitely rent a room from this hotel again.

Refused to give my homeless friend with a child a room. he had the right to not give her a room so she had to take her money some where else. The guy «sam» was rude and disrespectful.

This motel has bed bugs.
I woke up with bites all over my neck, hands, and back. For your own health and safety, stay somewhere else nearby.
When confronted with this information, the hotel management tried to accuse me of having an extra person in the room that I didn’t tell them about. She said «you had lady come in late to your room we have on camera.» Not only was this completely unfounded but I suspect they were trying to threaten me in some way by alleging I had a prostitute come to the room?
This is a bad business and the management reflects it. Save yourself the hassle and stay at another motel nearby.

Phone price $ 55, get there it’s $ 65. Was told that we could not have guests, whoever registered, had to be in the room by midnight. No alcohol. Manager pushed her way into the room, when they left, they called about 10 – 15 times to pressure us to leave. Basically was told to leave or the police were going to get called. DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE FOR ANY REASON! Go down the street to another reputable hotel, just as we did! Same price, less headache!

When my sister in law called ahead they said it would 55 for a king size one bed, one night. Since we were really only going to be sleeping there, we figured it was okay. When we got there however they jacked up the price another ten bucks, but we were able to get them to give it to us the bigger bed for five more.
Good deal? not really. The lady was pushy as hell. Kind of like what Rachel O. said, it seems like they were trying to get rid of you!!!
Anyhow, room had a very old apartment-​y feel to it. The floor had dips and dives with every stepped, the bed squeaked with every movement… I of course had fun jumping on it and shaking it back and forth much to the dismay of my sis in law.
The best part about this place? the fat ass pillows… that’s it!!! Not something I’d suggest to anyone I know, we were on a budget and simply needed a place to crash after a six hour drive from

I hope I’m reviewing the right motel… this one is right on the Traffic Circle. Anyhow, let’s begin. This motel has a few surprising (and slightly suspicious) requirements which I’ve never encountered before, and as a semi-​frequent traveler between Long Beach and Arizona, my motel experience isn’t TOO undeveloped.
Renting a room requires a $ 50 deposit on top of the price of the room, «just in case you smoke in there.» Whether you request a smoking room or not, whether you actually are a smoker or not, is of no importance. The fact is, you might smoke in the room, and so you must put a deposit on the room in case you decide to take up smoking that night. Agree to this, and you’re on to the next step.
You may NOT rent with a valid California ID card. You must have a valid California Driver’s License. If you dont’ have the right to operate a motor vehicle, you don’t have the right to rent a room there.
So you’ve agreed to the $ 50 deposit (on top of the price of the room, just in case) and you have a driver’s license as well? You’re on to the last step!
You MUST rent with a credit card. This establishment doesn’t accept cash as payment, for the simple reason that… that… well I’m not sure, but I suppose they have a reason. A darn good one, I would hope, and I hate to say this but I hope that reason has nothing to do with my companion being black, or with me appearing to be Hispanic. Because these rules about a $ 50 deposit, driver’s license only, no cash allowed were all revealed one by one, and only after we had agreed to each preceding rule.
She almost seemed to be… trying to get rid of us, despite our being polite and gracious to (almost) the end. I don’t understand it, but no worries… the Rodeway Inn was a very very short ride away and featured a big comfy bed, a balcony, a microwave, and the technology to accept cash as payment.
