I gave this place another try recently with my sister. Before I would have gave it a 1 star, because I would pay for gel an it would always peel off like a sticker. Vicky did my nails perfectly. I love them. She paid attention to detail. So now when I go I’m going to only want her to do them.

I just left Vicky’s. NO one was in the shop and she told me she didn’t need my business. Yes! Screaming at the top of her lungs about how I’m too picky. We’ll I thought I could be picky when I spend my $$ there. Lol… She totally embarrassed herself… Maybe she was mad at her husband or something??? I came in requested Mimi to do both my mani and pedi and Vicky went off on me… Like I had eaten the last egg roll or something:/ Ohhh… well there are nails shops on every corner. Bye Vicky!!!

Been going here for about 3 years. They never failed me and that’s why I keep going back. I love how they use new tools like a nail files, buffer for each costumer. I’ve had Vicky go crazy with my designs and she’s always nailed it! Went in on Friday with a design I found online and the young lady was able to up and beyond to make sure it looked just like it.

I’ve gone here numerous times, mostly because it’s walking distance from my house and the Nail technician I would go to, would hook up the designs. The service has mostly been good however it seems to be increasingly getting worse and dirty. Walk in, they tell you pick a color and someone will be with you shortly but then, the time seems to tick away while some of the technicians are servicing one another. Just Rude! I am a paying customer and tip very well. All I ask, is to receive the service/​customer service that is deserved. There’s a lot of improvement needed here.

Good & fast service ! The times that I’ve come they are busy but always manage to work me in & nails are awesome with a wide selection of colors to pick from (:

I went here the other day with my sister to get BOTH my mani and pedis done. One of the women there was able to do my pedis right as soon as I got there. I loved how it turned out. My only complain was that they didn’t get to do my manis! I waited almost an hour because my sister was getting her nails filled by Vivian (who was very excellent according to my sister). After waiting an hour, I asked the owner if I was next. He said what do you mean? I thought you only came for pedis. I said no. I came here for both mani and pedis and then he just said to come back later or another day because they had a full waiting list. Excuse me? It’s not my fault they weren’t paying attention. I was here first and waited an hour and this is how you respond to your customers? Wow. Won’t be coming back here again. Horrible customer service.

I came here with a friend. Since then Ive had my nails done here three times. The first time Vicky did them and they were okay, the second time her husband did them they were crooked and then the third time someone else did them and they were okay but thats only because i had him do them square and super short, otherwise they would of been bad. Oh and they damaged my cuticles. Def going back to Professionail at the promenade (downtown long beach)

This nail salon is so so nice. It may be small but the employees here really strive for quality instead of just trying to get money. Vicky and her husband are so passionate about what they do and they really make you feel welcome here, it’s great! 10/​10, I’m gonna come here from now on!

Beware this nails salon THEY DONT sterilize metal implements, such as nippers and nail clippers disinfection.
After she did my pedicure, I saw the girl washed her clipper and nipper in the sink.
Than she used it to next customer.
ZERO star from me. Not sterilization of implements.

This is my first time here with a friend who was referred by her friend. We called a half hour ahead to let them know we were coming in and were seated when we got there. We both got gel mani’s and pedi’s. The pedi was basic. She barely scrubbed my heels only so they’re still rough in spots but my toenails are shaped well and the polish looks good.
Our mani’s both look great. I asked for an ombré look and the girl who did them did a great job. She took her time and was even unhappy with the look of one nail so she gave it extra attention to make sure the fade looked right. She also shaped them well and I’m very happy with my shorter almond-​style nails.
My complaints — this is not a glamorous salon. I wasn’t expecting one based on the price we were told (cheaper than most) but this was not what I expected. The waiting chairs where we sat to pick out gel colors were all mix-​matched chairs that looked old and dirty like they’ve seen better days. The polish is on multiple racks around the shop and there’s no organization to them. So if you want a shade of pink for example you’ll have to walk around and look everywhere to get a selection. I also picked up quite a few bottles that were almost empty and dried up and crusty. They obviously don’t maintain their selection. There is clutter everywhere. Miscellaneous stuff everywhere, nail brushes, dotting tools and cuticle pushers sitting here and there. Which brings me to my main complaint. They don’t appear to sterilize their tools at all. I never saw anyone clean anything the whole time we were there and she definitely didn’t pull the tools out of a sterilization bag.
Bottom line — if you want an inexpensive basic mani and/​or pedi or good gel design and don’t care about frills, this is your place. I would recommend bringing your own cuticle nippers and clippers though, just to be safe.

This place is a LB gem. The manis, pedis, & gels are reasonably priced, they all to an excellent job, and the staff are very nice. The lady who does my french tip gels has a great eye for lines and shape. I keep forgetting to get her name, but she is amazing. This places is usually packed, no matter what day or time. Definitely call first.

Just your average nail salon. The prices are really good and Vincent is extremely friendly and attentive to all customers, but thats about it. The quality of work is average and the atmosphere is lacking. I’ve been here multiple times for full sets and always come out with thick or lumpy nails, on a positive note, the gel paint jobs have always been good.

This place is ok for last-​minute mani/​pedi and everywhere you have called is busy, which was my situation. Got a simple pedicure. One complaint: the nail tech cut my nails crooked. That’s basic nail 101, but hey for $ 12 what do you really expect?

Only come here if you’re in absolute desperation for a BASIC/​SIMPLE mani-​pedi. Nothing else is worth it.
I was referred here by my cousin after first moving to long beach, and as I continued living in Long Beach, I started to notice Vicky’s was a popular nail salon upon aquaintances and peers. Why tho!!!
Yes, prices are affordable, but despite having appointments, the wait time can still be horrendus. The salon is small and cramped and when you go to choose your polish, you’ll find yourself doing some sort of acro-​yoga moves trying to avoid falling into pedicure bowls and reaching over pedicurists who dont even bother to acknowledge you or scoot over a smidge.
I got an acrylic set done here. Never again. The acrylics were soo painful and tight on my nails — I had to get it removed within a few days. Also, if you look at photos you’ll see they probably do better with ghetto-​fab nail designs vs. clean looks.
I also tried the «affordable» lash extensions. If you value your lashes whatsoever… DO NOT GET THE EXTENSIONS!!! They glue cluster lashes all along your lash line and you end up looking super drag-​queeny. When these cluster lashes fall out — guess what — it takes clusters of your own lashes with it!
If you’re on a budget, they do an OK job on brows for about $ 6 or $ 7. The owner’s daughter does the lash extensions and brow waxing — the plus side is that she is young and also easy to communicate with. Just make sure you make an appointment.
Parking. Now parking is another main factor that keeps me away from here. You either park immediately in front of the shop off Redondo or at the market parking lot. My 3 day old brand new car got sideswiped despite me intentionally parking away from other cars. I know I cant really blame the nail salon for this, but it does factor into my experience.

Been here a few times and i always happy and satisfied. Very busy on a weekend, so if you’re planning on coming-​book an appointment :)

This is the place to get your nails done fast. I had a reservation for noon time. I came in with a friend and waited 15min before we were seated. The location itself is small and the patrons are cramped, but they made it work though. I had my manicure and gel nails done with a design in less than an hour. There are a lot of colors to choose from and unlimited designs. Vivian is the person to go to for designs! I had her draw on these cute little roses on my thumbs and ring finger. It was $ 27 for the gel manicure and the designs. The owner was nice enough to ask about the service I had and gave me bottled water. Overall, this is a good nail salon for those who are looking to save time.

I love getting my nails done here!
I somehow always get there at a time when there aren’t many people there and get seated pretty quick. But I’ve heard there are longer waits, but I always block out a good amount of time (a couple hours) for when I get my nails done so I expect a wait. Regardless if you’re being worked on or waiting, they make sure you are comfortable and offer bottled water if you’re thirsty.
I usually bring in a photo of how I want my nails and they «nail» it perfectly! (I’m pretty punny I know…). **I suggest bringing in a photo so that they understand what you’re looking for. I’m not very good with choosing my colors and so the staff chooses similar colors to the photo and give suggestions on what would look best!
I’m not from Long Beach area but I still will make the drive to Vicky’s! Definitely my #1 nail salon!

This review is solely on the eyelash extensions. I will start off by saying they were a real life nightmare. I came into the shop super excited about getting eyelash extensions for an event I have on Saturday and told Vicky that I wanted them to look very natural and just a little wispy on the ends. I signed a contract prior to getting my eyelashes done and she didn’t explain anything to me. I had done reasearch on eyelash extensions before so I figured she knew what she was doing.
For one, the lashes she uses are synthetic and the kind of lashes you can buy at rite aid. like the little individual ones. She took like 30 minutes and when I asked her what kind of glue she was using she said it was USA glue (not sure what that is). Anyways, I ended up looking like a straight up drag queen. My natural lashes were glued together with the fake lashes and looked like they were an inch long! They felt super hard and crispy. When I washed my face they hurt, and felt uncomfortable.
I really wanted to like them and give them a chance but they were crazy. I paid $ 29 for the lashes, then had to go to Sally’s to buy products to remove them because I did not want Vicky touching my lashes again. :(
So sad! I was super excited and now I’m out almost $ 40 bucks.
