Worst service ever when I ordered my wedding invites. After collecting my money, my phone calls, voicemails and emails went ignored for weeks. I was supposed to have my invites on a certain agreed upon date and she sent them later saying she had a «family emergency». Two weeks late doesn’t count as family emergency. During your wedding planning, invites shouldn’t be the biggest stress you have. It was. After paying it went downhill. I would never use Chanda again or recommend her to anyone. She was also very unprofessional and doesn’t own up to anything.
She never sent me my Thank You cards either. She made some excuse and I just gave up and bought some elsewhere. I couldn’t be bothered to go through what I went through with my invites.

First off let me state that my wedding planning and day of were perfect! Every (well almost every) vendor was on point and delivered what as promised. And then there was PAPER CREW!
If you are looking for a stationer that will chastise you about timing, base you’re pricing off staying on schedule and then NEVER hit a deadline, this is the printer for you! I ordered my wedding package with Chanda in September of 2015 for our wedding in March of 2016. When we met she was adamant that I stay to her schedule and that the pricing was based off me hitting my targets dates. NEVER once was she on time and her quality was lack luster. I had to constantly email her to get the information and proofs I needed to approve. When we first met I was excited for her designs, to soon find out that all I would receive is sub-​par products and broken promises. It was a nightmare from start to finish. Below are the issues we had with Paper Crew.
My save the dates were late and cut crooked. The font she used on the address labels could not be read by the postage machines. So a majority of my guest did not receive the save the dates.
My invitations were not received until the middle of February (4 weeks before my wedding), when they were supposed to be delivered at the beginning of January. I had to bug her for the proofs and by the time I got them, I was in such a rush to get them out we did not notice she dated them March 90^th instead of March 19^th. It read ninetieth instead of nineteenth. Since we had such little time to get the invites out I needed to her to print the addresses on the envelopes and she charged me a pretty penny for that (instead of covering the costs due to her lag time) and would not send my invites (which were already paid for) to the printers to get them started until I paid for the envelope addressing. And finally she made the response card in a very dark navy card stock. Needless to say my guests had a hard time writing their responses that we could see.
My programs were a joke! My wedding planner had a great idea to make them look like a map (since we were getting married at a train station) but again Paper Crew was so late on designing them I ended up with a folded piece of paper that was printed crooked!!!
Finally, the Thank you Notes. Again these were supposed to be done and delivered with my invites. As of yet I have not even received a proof for approval. I am 2 months past my wedding date and the Thank You notes are still not in my possession. I have been asking for these since January to no avail. I emailed her to find out what is going on and the email bounced back and her website is not longer available. So I am assuming these are a lost cause.

I am so grateful that I had a chance to do business with Chanda. I needed a logo and business cards for my business, and thank goodness I was able to have Chanda do them for me. She came up with such an innovative design for my logo, and the biz cards were of premium quality. She is very simple to work with and great in communicating. I was very pleased with her work, and as a business owner, I highly recommend her for all your branding and marketing needs. I am proud to say I am a client for life.

My self made branding was getting long in the tooth so I asked around and a friend referred me to Chanda of Paper Crew.
I’m very glad that she did! She took the time to research my industry (photography) and gave me a few options with directions to go in. Chanda made my baby’s third birthday a dream. In the last three months we have worked together on over 20 projects but she blew this out of the water, literally. Let me put this plainly: Nearly anyone can be creative in this line of work. Thank god for Paper Crew! I threw my best friend a baby shower & I wanted everything to be perfect… without knowing exactly what I wanted. Chanda was a godsend! She combined all the things I wanted and made the process as painless as possible! She answered all my questions and took the time to make sure I loved every detail. Paper Crew has done my wedding invitations, and all of my children’s birthday invitations every year. She has even done my business cards and my husband’s business cards as well. Chanda does amazing work! Her creativity always exceeds my expectations! I can’t imagine going anywhere else for my stationary needs.

THE WORST EXPERIENCE FOR A BRIDE. She took our money in such a sly way I am taking Chanda to court. First of all she required ALL the money up front for the invitations (red flag) than she never responded after that. I WAS FREAKING OUT TO SAY THE LEAST AS IT WAS MY WEDDING INVITATIONS HERE. I even went to her place of work for days straight and lights were of and no one there. I immediately called my bank to cancel the order so I could quickly get them done through another vendor. Once she got the alert the money was taken out of her account she agreed to deliver the invitations. After picking them up I called my bank back to cancel the fraud charges. Chanda said they never replaced the charge back and she demanded payment again. After days of harassing I finally gave her another check. After many calls to my bank they verified they indeed gave Pay Pal who then reimbursed Chanda. She denied it. I am taking her to court as she made me pay 2x for the invitations and other goods she never delivered. I wish I would have read the reviews before. It would have saved me a lot of money and stress. 3 months after my wedding and I am still dealing with this. SAVE YOURSELF THE STRESS AND MONEY. SHE IS A THIEF CON ARTIST. She will take your money then disappear. Just try and call the number listed, her voice mail is always full. And no one is ever at the shop. The shop is a front. PLEASE BE CAREFUL.

BRIDES BE WARE: unreasonable pricing, difficult to work with, makes the whole experience hell! Chanda is an absolute nightmare! She could not keep any of her promises, even the written ones– always late, and had the courage to make my mother wait 2 hours for a delivery and blame traffic, with no notice to her! I later found out that she was with another bride at dinner! For our first meeting, she was late 30 minutes and I had to call her to find out where she was… not to mention she requested the earlier time because she had to close her shop early that day. Her work is fine but nothing out of the ordinary to justify working with such a rude person. Options for templates are basically useless so go find your own if you decide to work with her. She is rude, her service is terrible, and she tries to justify everything to blame everyone but herself. If you shop around, you will see that even FedEx has better options for printing then she does. She tried to tell me that $ 1.50/printed label was normal– FedEx did the printing for me for the same label for no labor cost, just the purchase of the paper which was a total of $ 7.99 for 400 labels. She made this entire process which is supposed to be happy and exciting, dreadful and terrible. I could not wait to be done working with her! She has no «team» of people (she was always the one responding, when she did get around to it) and will tell you that she has tons of clients but couldn’t give me a single person as a reference… not sure how that is possible if you have «tons» of clients. Don’t believe her when she says she gives you a «discount”– she never holds herself to it and weasels out of it claiming «contractual» things that she never stuck to to begin with– I guess I have to stick to the contract but she gets to create different calendars and has to be emailed, called, and emailed again to respond to your questions? Make sure everything is on paper if you work with her and she acknowledges receiving things because otherwise she will delay for weeks and blame you claiming its was «lost» in her inbox. Oh and she told me it would take at least 3 months for the process (start to delivery) including at least 1 – 2 months for the printing, yet when my coordinator called her to call her out for all her delays and issues she is causing me, she was able to get the printing done in 4 days… shady!

I loved my experience with paper crew. I am so impressed with the outcome of my daughter’s 1^st birthday invitations card. Chanda did a really good job, I loved the designs and everything. She is very creative and talented. She made a perfect invitation for my daughter. I really loved their smart ideas so definitely I will recommend paper crew if you are looking for a nice invitations card or anything paper related.

I love Chanda! She was so helpful and Informative during the whole wedding invitation process. She helped me figure out what I wanted and created the perfect invite for me. I would go back to her anytime for anything!

As much as I’ve tried over and over to work with Chanda… I feel the 3^rd disappointment is a good enough of experience for me to move on. Let’s start from the beginning. I found Papercrew driving on Atlantic Blvd. (since I work down the street) in late 2013. Their catchy themed-​displays on their window is what caught my attention and drew me in. Since I had recently got engaged, I decided to stop by and see what they had to offer. Their store has TONS of invites and creative ideas on display. I found her products and craftmanship to be wonderful, and gave my downpayment that same day! We didn’t speak for 2 months after this. (In her favor, we delayed our wedding planning due to my fiancé, now husband, and I canceling our wedding in Los Angeles and instead, changing locations to an international resort, therefore it was now going to be a destination wedding.) I advised Chanda in the beginning of 2014 of that change and asked if I could get her input in «creating a travel-​themed» invitation.
Cue to weeks and weeks later. Everyone on here complaining about the lack of customer service… it is very true. Funny to say, but one of the most stressful tasks I had throughout my WHOLE wedding planning… were the invites. (And that’s being said with planning a wedding overseas!) Chanda does not have enough time or does not have enough working staff to be more responsive/​attentive to clients. They have never answered their phone when I have called, and company e-​mail is always unresponsive. On her door it mentions that there are no walk-in’s, and many times I have been to her business during working hours, the store is locked and closed. She takes days and sometimes even weeks to reply to an e-​mail. Leaving you worried and/​or simply pissed and frustrated. After months of going back and forth with lack of response, I decided to crash the business out of desperation to see if she would help with ideas for my wedding invitations (since I did not have a vision) and needed her guidance. Finally I had caught her off guard and she gave me a specific day to come back into her shop for a consultation.
I have to say the invitations came out wonderful! But this was after weeks and weeks of going back and forth on the details and her being unresponsive for most of the time. When they were finally completed I was happy with the final outcome. EXCEPT, I could not use about 20 or so invites. Chanda came up with the idea to put a rhinestone on the island we were getting married on (which I thought was a spectacular idea) Well, many of my invites came with dried glue around the rhinestone looking like a 3^rd grader pasted them on and left a complete gooey mess on many of our invites. AND since it was a cluster of islands, the rhinestones were placed on the wrong island (not the one we were getting married on), and once I mentioned this to her, she said since it was not «saved on her notes» it was basically my fault. Whatever… I really didn’t care at this point, I just wanted to get them sent out!!!
I went back to Chanda again asking for different sets of wedding stationary 2^nd time around. I was super hesitant to give her another try, but I did. It was all finally going smoothly, that is until I received some stationary with a typo. All 165 of them! What I sent to paper crew were examples literally right out of pintrest! Should be easy to cut and paste. I e-​mailed Chanda furiously, but she said since I had already approved the proof, she would only charge me and additional $ 75 dollars to have them re-​printed! I thought this was so inconsiderate, especially since typo was not my fault!
The final and last time I am going to Chanda (weeks ago, picked up today) was in regards to our:“Thank you’s.” After weeks, of course, being unresponsive and me having to stalk her with enraged e-​mails, she sent me the proof and I approved. I had sent her an e-​mail consisting of all of our families addresses (since I wanted them all printed on the envelopes, work has been paid for). I sent my husband’s contacts in one e-​mail and all my contacts in another e-​mail. She said she could not open my contacts (here I am assuming she received my husband’s) so I resent her mine again. Come to finally print after a week of going back and forth her not being able to open my attachment, my husbands contacts are NOT printed on any of the envelopes. She must have of course missed that e-​mail that I sent to her last week with that information. I have already paid for them but am willing to take the loss. I am just drained by all of this micro-​managing that needs to be done working with her time and time again. I found a little print store that did it for me within 2 hours in Hermosa Beach! So extremely long story short… You want nice invites or stationary, you can come here, but with tons of risk. Knowing you will not get a quick turnaround time, errors on your work and staff who is usually MIA.

Brides-​to-​be Beware!!! With all the stress that comes with planning a wedding the last thing you need is vendors who don’t return phone calls & don’t meet deadlines.
We ordered our save the dates from Chandra, we gave her the design we wanted with all the details & we picked them up as scheduled. No problems there. We met with Chandra to design our wedding invitations, she was not overly friendly, but was professional. She suggested a few ideas, but mostly my husband designed the invitation. We were supposed to have a draft about 10 days later. 15 days later & after a few emails from my husband she gave us a draft with more than a few grammatical errors & not the design we had agreed on. Once we finally had all of our mistakes corrected that’s when the worst part began. I had told Chandra I needed the invitations in the beginning of the month because I wanted to send them out no later than the 15^th. My husband sent her about 15 emails, called her numerous times and left voicemails, and I finally went to the business to look for her because she would not return emails or phone calls. I knocked on the front door but there was no answer. I went around the back to the delivery door and knocked. Chandra came out and told me that she was behind schedule because her employee quit. I guess she forgot her lie because the next day she told my husband that she was behind schedule because there was an illness in her family. We received our invitations two weeks late and not perfectly printed. There was one grammatical error & the design was still not what we agreed on in our initial meeting. Any bride planning the wedding knows that honesty is appreciated from your vendors because if not you just end up freaking out and being even more stressed than you need to be!!!

I’ll start with the good — the wedding invitations Chanda designed and printed for us were absolutely lovely. I loved them and was proud to send them out. Our first meeting with Chanda was great — she was attentive and patient as my husband and I struggled to define what we wanted. She made great suggestions and, like I said, the finished product was great.
Now, the negative. During our first meeting (in November) I made our budget very clear (it was admittedly small). We agreed that for our budget, we would get invitations and envelopes only. We also agreed on a bartering situation for other services (enclosure cards, table numbers, escort cards, thank you notes, etc.) and, based on that understanding, paid our deposit. Long story short, due to her unresponsiveness, we were not able to finalize our order until March. And, after that many months of negotiations (which mostly consisted of us making offers and her not responding), we ended up just getting the invitations and not doing any barter for additional services.
The proofing of the invitations went smoothly. However, when the invitations were printed, I was informed that I would have to pay to have them shipped to me. The other option would be to pick them up from her office which, of course, would be closed on that Saturday and Sunday because she was going out of town. I live 40 miles from Long Beach, so that was very inconvenient. Fortunately, my sister-​in-​law was able to pick them up for me.
Once I got them, I was again disappointed. I had ordered 150 invitations and 150 envelopes. However, only 100 envelopes were enclosed. So there was another rigmarole to get the last 50 envelopes.
I was very disappointed that it took 4 months for me to determine that I would be on my own for thank you notes, table numbers, escort cards, etc. In addition, I was disappointed by the lack of attention to detail paid to our order. In retrospect, I wish I would have continued to shop for invitation vendors. The beautiful invitations that we received were not worth the months of stress and frustration.

I have gone through Paper Crew for my 2 daughters birthday parties. Chanda is very pleasant to work with and has the most creative suggestions.
