Best coffee in LB. Good service and baristas who know what they’re doing. Love this place.

I been having good coffee withdraws since I moved here from Sacramento. This makes up for it. Really good & fresh coffee. You can’t beat that. One of the best in the LA area by far. Keep up the good work!

Stopped in to buy whole beans for the first time here. The barista was busy but took the time to describe each one so I could make the best choice. I bought the Vincent Thomas Bridge blend and it did not disappoint! I look forward to trying the others as well. I will be supporting this local business from here on out. Oh, and on a boiling hot heat wave day, it was super cool and comfortable. I’ll be back with a book for sure.

Me and my roommate were looking for a place to study besides Starbucks and coffee bean. So we found this cute place through Unilocal and decided to check it out.
Coffee/​Tea/​Drinks/​Other (⁵⁄₅): I just got an iced tea sweetened and my roomie got a raspberry thyme soda and they were both good. Their selections of drinks look pretty good overall. Have the simple basic ones that everyone loves as well as unique ones that makes this place stand out.
Customer Service (⁵⁄₅): the one that was standing at the front was this super cute blonde guy who was super friendly and nice and sweet to us! When we sat down to study he came over a bit later and complimented us saying he loved that we were the only ones studying without laptops, just studying the old fashion way. Shoutout to him cause he was really great and 5 stars for customer service because of him!
Interior design (⁵⁄₅): I am a sucker for cute stores and shops and interior design. The whole place is simple but I just love how it’s all put together, a great feel and the tables, chairs and couches go really well with this coffee place.
Definitely recommend for anyone and everyone to try this place out!

Great morning! Had a lovely staff on board and yummy treats too. I normally make my own coffee but I’m watching a friends house so thought we’d try this place out. My daughter and dog loved sitting outside and even the clients were kind. Neighborhood gem. Love that about long beach.

Coffee was quite weak; average flavor. I actually had to go home and make myself some coffee afterwards! A first!
Very friendly staff, but WAY over-​priced for what you receive. Too bad. I like to support neighborhood establishments, but I won’t return to this one.
Best places for coffee in the 4^th St. area: Flea and Portfolio (in that order). I’m sorry to say that I even prefer Starbucks to what I drank here at RPR.

Scrum-​dittly-​umptious! Prob the best Vanilla iced Latte in town. Great staff and service. The area to sit is a tad small and just like other coffee shops on 4^th, packed all the time. My one gripe is the size of the iced beverages. Being a student who writes constantly, I need a large sized drink for the hours needed to focus! Gimme a nice 24 oz Iced latte and I give you 5^th star. :)

I just tried their seasonal latte and it was so good! Rosemary! & Molasses oh my! The space is airy and clean, the music not loud at all, a nice subdued vibe, great for writing. I can imagine their coffee without all the interesting add-​ins would be equally tasty. The staff friendly, attentive and mellow just like the place. Several pastry selections still available at the end of the day. No sandwiches or salads just straightforward coffee and breads.
I will definitely return

This place is really cute (bright and airy, with hip décor), but it definitely has some kinks to work out. Stopped by here on a Sunday morning around 8:30ish for some coffee and pastries and it took an inordinate time for them to make two Americanos. Not sure what was going on, but the barista had to start over or something. Also, the other worker behind the counter were putting out the pastries onto these uncovered platters – not sure if they had covers for them but if they’re sitting out there uncovered that could be potentially unsanitary. I wasn’t too impressed with the coffee either; had that overly burnt taste to it that I generally associate with Starbucks.
STEPH JUDGEMENT: The new coffee kid on the block with potential not yet realized.

I really don’t understand the person who gave this spot 4 stars or less. The coffee is over priced for some but for me it’s under priced because it was that amazing. The cappuccino was one of the best ones I’ve had it was that amazing. The pastry donut I got was amazing but to small so I had to buy 3. Place is small and gets packed fast but it was worth it for me. This place is up there with lord winsdor

Coffee quality is incredible. I love the people and the hang. I wish they’d vary their pastry options a little more. They have a ton of savory options but few sweet. I don’t eat bread that often do something chocolate with my coffee is much preferred.
Parking isn’t awesome but I’ve always found a spot.

Probably one of my new favorite coffees spots in Long Beach.
I was hitting that mid-​afternoon wall and needed something to pick me up ASAP. We had just spent the day in the sun and were heading to Retro Row to do a little browsing through the shops, so I definitely needed something to help get me through the rest of the day.
The shop itself is spacious and has a good amount of seating. I love that there are so many windows letting in the natural light because it was a beautiful day in Long Beach and you wanted to get as much of that winter sun as possible.
For coffee, I noticed they had a variety of cold brews. It was in the 90’s outside, so I didn’t want anything warm. The friendly gent at the counter gave me his picks and what flavor profiles each had and I ended up with the Kenya Gachatha. It comes in a small glass with ice accompanied by a small carafe with the rest of your drink. The whole order comes out on a wooden plate and it’s almost too pretty to drink. Looking at the photos, it looks like it could be an awesome cocktail rather than a cup of coffee.
It was everything I could have wanted and more and I literally downed both portions within a five minute period. It was super smooth and I got every coffee note that was in the description which was awesome. No cream is needed (for me anyways…) It’s supposed to have notes of plum, wild honey and nectarine, but the honey stuck out the most. So good!
Jaime went with an iced tea and I was surprised that they had a good amount of cold brewed teas as an option as well. If something wasn’t avail on the menu, they’d make it for you and pour it over ice, which was nice. I wish I would have taken a pic of the choices, because the name escapes me.
If you’re looking for a pastries, they have a good selection that changes regularly. I’m coming back for you mini boysenberry pie!
And how cool is it that they have bike service for local residents? They deliver their coffee to your doorstep. Super cool. You gotta check this place out!

Cool hipster spot in the city of Long Beach in the residental area. Another overly priced coffee shop with a cool-​chill atmostphere. Not a whole lot of tables to sit and hang out at, but it’s cozy. I had the rose black tea, while the man had their cold brew (Kenya beans). The tea normally comes hot, but I asked for iced, being that it was such a hot day. The cold brew flavor was just okay. I’m not a fan of the fruity-​citrusy flavor. I prefer the earthy aftertaste for my coffee. This brew was a special limited time, but their house brew is always good.
Coffee, because crack is bad for you.

This is one of my fav coffee places. Décor is clean and simple. Drinks r decently priced. I got the matche latte which I recommend. The Barista was welcoming n helped explain the menu. Its quiet n there is enough outlets so this place is good for studying. I definitely recommend this place!

After walking in the door and greeted warmly by the owner,
Lots of warm décor around.
At the front I always order: cappuccino small with whole milk
And a quiche, in pastry size.
It’s a perfect cappuccino, slightly bitter with a smooth taste,
Evidently skilled he is.
Drink, relax and eat, the necessary criteria well met,
This is yet another success.

Overall this place is pretty good. I was hesitant to review this place, so I made sure I had gone a good amount of times. I’m always hesitant with specialty coffee shops because the majority of them tend to have pretentious, pompous baristas which really deter me because service is huge for me. And if you give me the vibe you’re too good for me and that I don’t belong in your shop then, yeah, I won’t go. The first time I came here I definitely got that vibe from the lady who served me.
However, I still had hope and went back a couple more times. The guys there are much more pleasant and friendly. They have delicious pastries supplied by The Caffeinated Kitchen, We-​Op, etc. and their coffee is brewed with care. They have wi-​fi and lovely décor. What really convinced me was the quality of their coffee. It is always so robust and flavorful!

Magic brews can be found here. I swear. It must be the perfectly shaped ice cubes in their cold brew, or the delightfully foamy lattes. but this is definitely where the magic happens.
Sunday fun-​days have had me spent sippin’ on mildly sweet indulgences. and the ensuing lineup is what i have savored:
Ginger Rosemary latte (seasonal) — sweet; the ginger definitely carries the rosemary notes through the espresso. this is definitely for someone who enjoys flavored lattes.
Sweet Latte — moderately sweet; just enough simple syrup to extend the dark taste of espresso.
Cold Brew (house) — creamy, chocolatey. slightly nutty. i have yet to taste a cold brew so silky, so suave. I was entirely taken aback by how luscious a cold brew can grow up to become. I can only hope all cold brews can strive to be like this one day.
Pondering my coffee colored memories have got me cravin’ for more. I’ll be back for you, Rose Park. Your witching ways have caught my gaze.

I was wondering what filled the sad empty hole on 4^th and freeman and was pleasantly surprised to find rose park roasters with their own shop. I thought they only delivered but it looks like the gods smiled upon us to bring them into Long Beach’s wonderful collection of coffee shops. Try their seasonal drinks!

I was excited to personally experience Rose Park Roasters after a friend shared some of their Kenya roast with me. I went in with no expectations and an open palate.
The barista was very nice and provided me with 2 samples of their roast. He was helpful and provided me with a wonderful tasting experience. Their coffee is aromatic, smooth and full of flavor. I highly recommend this coffee experience to locals and anyone visiting Long Beach.
PS: the vegan donuts are a delightful compliment to their coffee.

Great coffee, great customer service and they deliver by bicycle! Does it get any better than that?
Did I mention their coffee is great? My husband and I are coffee snobs and this coffee is simply superb!
