All Pets Boarding Resort

We took our yellow lab puppy (9 months old) here. He had never been to a kennel or the dog park. As with all labs, he is affectionate and attached to us. We explained that this was his first time being away from us. We left him there for 6 hours. Upon our return, we were told that he barked the entire time he was there, and therefore, they put him in a papoose. They still had him in the papoose and asked if we wanted to see him. It was shocking! I asked why they put him in the papoose and they said «because it makes the dogs feel more secure». This was absolutely unacceptable to us. They said he had not been aggressive and said «he’s a very nice dog.» But, they said, the owner was not happy that he was barking. We will never return to this establishment. Oh, and, by the way, our dog has flourished at Auburn Kennels and visits them regularly. Auburn Kennels is an A+ dog kennel. Check their reviews!

I have taken my pup here whom I love VERY much and I feel good about leaving him here.
He has stayed here about 4 times; and is booked for 2 future stays. They book me VIA Email correspondence which is convenient and keeps a paper trail.
At this point the staff knows Skeeter by name and he gets excited to see them; its really awesome. he is always clean and unscaved when my husband and I pick him up.
This place is located on a nice chunk of land and the people are super nice. I feel that they take very good care of my dog.
I would suggest boarding inside rather than out; they get let out 2– 3 times a day for potty and play time (if you elect to let your pet play with others).
One thing I do not like is that they let all the dogs play together; supervised of course… this just scares me; you never know the temperament of other dogs and god forbid if something happens.
Anyways; they are worth a try for your furry friend and reasonable on price; I have a big dog; kenneled inside for about $ 36.00 a day.

I’m not a fan of giving bad reviews. I am very forgiving and believe in second chances, but feel obligated to share two experiences I’ve had with All Pets Boarding Resort.
My first experience with All Pets Boarding was not great. I brought my dogs bed and her food. I was gone for 9 days. When I came back, they were unable to locate the bed and gave all the food back to me. One of the staff members ultimately acknowledged — in front of the owner — that they misplaced my dogs bed and put it in another kennel for the 9 days i was gone. For the food, they had no explanation. The owner was upset and they quickly refunded me over $ 450 for the entire stay. Given this gesture I gave them a second chance — they genuinely seemed apologetic.
Let me mention that I got my dog when she was a pup. I’ve never laid a hand on her. I do not believe in hitting dogs. Maybe a slap on the butt as a consequence, but never near the head.
When I returned home with my dog today, we were settling in and I went up to her to pet her on the head, which I do all the time. She cringed, quickly kneeled to the ground, put her ears back and acted as though I was going to strike her near the head. This absolutely broke my heart. It was clear something happened to her over this past weekend at All Pets Boarding Resort.
I hope all who read this maybe take another minute to find another provider to make sure their pets are safe and in good hands.

I like all pet owners, me any way was very nervous about leaving my 13.5 year old dog, Chelsea thirteen days while I went on vacation. My dog is not only a senior, but she is in a fragile state of health, which caused me even greater anxiety and worry. I was so worried my old girl wouldn’t make it through her long stay, but she did. Not only did she survive, she was happy and excited when I picked her up. Looked like she gained a few pounds which was great because she’s a picky eater. I have boarded my ol’ girl at other pet care facilities and when I have picked my her up, I could see and read her body language her stay wasn’t pleasant. A dog’s body language speaks a thousand words. Also at these other facilities she was with drawn when she returned home for days. After picking Chelsea up not only did her body language tell me she was cared for so carefully, but she had a blast with the other dogs. Chelsea’s disposition was happy and up beat when we returned home.
The staff at All Pets Boarding were considerate, personable and accommodating to Chelsea which was extremely important to me. They were very understanding to care for her In her fragile state of health and giving her all her meds. that helped kept her going too. I know this in my heart. She is in kidney failure and has a year +/​-​left with me and I’m cheerishing every day with her. All Pets Boarding didn’t turn us away knowing Chelsea is in fragile health.
Yes their drop off and pick hours are inconvenient, but that’s nothing to complain about when you know your pet is being so well cared for. It was a long fast drive to pick her up and make it there between 4 – 6 PM, but I did it.
I also was fortunate to meet Louise Daggett, one of the owner’s. She was engaging in our conversation and she too knew all about Chelsea. A great experience for Chelsea and me. Amen!

I was so lucky to have come across All Pets Boarding Resort. I made a weekend trip up from the Bay Area to attend a dog-​related event, but my puppy was too young to participate in the first day’s activities, so I needed to find a place for him to stay while I attended the Friday seminar. I called around to multiple places to see if they would take my pup just for the day.
Now, I work at a daycare and boarding facility in San Francisco, so my dog is very familiar with off leash playgroups and such. I am well versed in the various requirements and restrictions for dogs (regardless of if I believe in some of them), and my dog meets the basic standards needed for doggie daycare. I called multiple facilities that were in close proximity to the location of the seminar and not a single one would take my dog. Each place found a different reason to not accept him — his breed (he is a Belgian Malinois), he’s too young for groups (he is 8 months), the fact that I couldn’t come up earlier to do an evaluation, etc etc. There was always something.
Then I called the wonderful people at All Pets — they were accommodating, helpful, pleasant, and an absolute godsend. I was very comfortable making the reservation to leave my golden child there.
When I arrived onsite, I was even more impressed. The grounds are gorgeous, the dogs have ample play space, they readily gave me a tour of the entire facility even though it was crazy morning feeding time, and made my dog feel welcome from the second he stepped foot into the group. I watched him play through the window for a minute, could see he was comfortable, and left.
I called mid day just to check on him (yes, I am that neurotic owner), and without hesitation they gave me a full account of his antics. It’s something I strive to do at work for each dog I care for, so I really appreciate other people that do that too. Same thing when I picked him up — a full account of his day and a recommendation for a place to stop and run him before we went to our hotel. We ended up not even needing to stop there because he was SO tired from his playing (and the heat haha, city dogs…)!
Thank you so much All Pets! If we are ever in the area again, I will not hesitate to bring him back for the day!

This is the 2^nd time I have used All Pets to take care of my cat/​cats. Once for one week while I went on a cruise and I only had one cat… they were awesome. So I used them again, this time for 10 days and for the care of two cats, and I felt so at eased knowing that they would be cared for with the utmost care. They are my boys after all! I was a little pricey for the two, but worth it!

Horrible customer service, pretty good facility for cats. But will look for better place next time.

Left my Mobi here for 2 night stay. As soon as we walked in the door he forgot all about me and was ready for play. Nice, clean and roomy, the folks were friendly and attentive. I plan on taking Mobi here again in the future.

We boarded our 2 dogs here recently for a week. Prior to boarding them they both had been extremely healthy, no medical problems, and just given a clean bill of health from the vet (1 week before boarding). While at this kennel one of our dogs developed acute pancreatitis, had to be taken to vet due to vomiting and bloody diarrhea, and was very ill for a week. (a pricey vet bill as well). Our other dog started having diarrhea and not eating the day we picked them up and was also sick for a week. I give the kennel credit for acting quickly to get our dog to the vet as her condition could have been life threatening if not treated immediately, but beyond that, I have to think something wasn’t right there (dirty conditions or bad food) for both of our healthy dogs to have become so sick in their care. Will definitely NOT return or recommend!!!

This place started out ok but the more we brought our dog the higher the fees got. It seems that if you have a dog that barks (as all dogs do while they are playing) you have to pay a fee, and since he barks you have to pay to have him inside. Also the hours are horrible, morning drop off but then if you want to pick up in the afternoon you have to pay for another day.

My friend who boarded her cat here recommended it, and I cannot say enough good things about All Pets Boarding. My dog actually became a better dog by boarding with these terrific people. After trying kennels all around Sac, this is the only place I trust with my dog. Worry free travel.

I wanted to share some info about All Pet’s Boarding… We took our three dogs there while out of town for a week… I called EVERY day to check on them and was never told anything about this but when I got there to pick them up, after I paid, I went in the back as the front desk gal was calling back to let them know I was there. Upon arriving at their kennel, I saw they had put a BARK COLLAR on my oldest dog. I NEVER authorized a bark collar… was never notified they would use one, and didn’t sign any kind of wavier giving them permission to use one in any form. I kinda thought it was weird that it was so quiet in there both times I went (once to view the place and the second time to drop my dogs off)…never any barking. NONE! My dog’s don’t bark excessively but my oldest one does bark when new people come around for a minute. When I called to check on them the second day they told me they moved them to the back because he was barking when people were coming in… that is all I was told. until I got there to pick them up and the collar was on him… they were pretty nervous about what I was going to say about it… which I said nothing because I was soo shocked! Anyway… I would have never known if I would have waited in the lobby for them to bring them out to me. I would NEVER have left my dogs (and I will NEVER LEAVE THEM THERE AGAIN) had I known they felt it was ok to use one without my knowledge! Had they told me there was a problem and they were going to have to use a collar on him, I would have contacted my daughter to go pick them up for us! Why would I pay someone to care for my dogs and treat them in a way I NEVER WOULD? I called to check on them EVERYday while I was gone (except Sunday since they don’t answer the phone on Sunday)…but EACH and EVERY day I was gone with exception to sunday, I called to see how things were going (I had never left my dogs at a kennel overnight before)…never did anyone mention to me that his barking was a problem to the extent they were going to use a collar… He hasn’t acted the same since we got him home (just picked them up yesterday) but I’m hoping with a lot of love he will be back to his olé self soon.

Just picked my dog up this morning. He stayed here for 10 days and I couldn’t be happier. They kept a file on him to report to me everything he did. They really seemed to be observant to his needs (although he’s a bigger dog he had more fun playing with the small dogs). He seemed happy and well feed.
I also asked for him to be bathed before I took him home. They bathed him the morning of pick up and he was ready to go when I picked him up, just like they promised. They even washed the blanket we brought with him.
I will definitely use this place again.

My dog goes here for daycare about three times a week. She has a GREAT time, plays with other dogs, and is always tired at the end of the day. The «resort» is set on the owners’ property and is run kind of as a low-​key, family run business. There’s lots of outdoor area to play, which is not something that you always get anymore at kennels. The staff is all very friendly and they all love my dog (or at least say they do!).
While the staff all means well and I’m sure does everything to the best of their ability, as a low-​key business I don’t feel there are a lot of «rules and guidelines» in place like at some other kennels. This isn’t bad, just more loose, and now and then you might get a shrug in response when you ask some questions. But I do believe that the entire staff wants to best for your dog and they really enjoy what they do.
It is sort of annoying that they’re hardly open at all (8am-​12pm and 4pm-​6pm for pick up only, closed Sundays). There are certainly lots of times when this would be super inconvenient for picking up your dog, in my opinion. I do UNDERSTAND why they are not open late, but man, the fact that Wag Hotels is open 24 hours is pretty exciting when we rarely return from a trip before 6pm, and often on a Sunday, being the end of the weekend! We probably are weird, but we really like to pick up our dog right away after a trip, not waiting until the next morning. We miss our doggies while we’re gone!
But other than the hours, I really have zero complaints. My dog is so happy and so tired after daycare that my evenings go so much better and calmer!

Wonderful place to leave my dog. I have a golden retriever and he loves coming here. They have large play yards and kennels. The dogs get a lot of play time and attention. The staff is very friendly and accomodating.
