This location has variety of inks for printers for an affordable price. For those who are college students who want to save money for papers such as essay and formal reports this is the place for you. I recommend this place for getting printer inks and there are paper for sale too if you run out.

It took a month and a half to ship this order?!
I’ve called 4 times, spoken to customer support each time, and each time they would look in to it and call me back. Haven’t received that call back.
Today I called at 9:07 AM Pacific (opens at 9:00) and was told that they’ve only been there 15 minutes and need to start their systems and will need to call me back. No this was not a joke.
You buy cheap stuff online, you can expect this. I’d honestly recommend spending the extra $ 20 – 40 and getting it somewhere else. I understand these kind of things happen in business, but judging by the other reviews this is more like a standard operating procedure than a bad example.
I’ve contacted VISA and they’re going to take the money back for me.

Okay… I was going to rate one star but, I have gone back a few times so, clearly the convenience of having a brick and motor ink location in the neighborhood deserves 2 stars at least.
The problem is the ink they sell is questionable. Yes it’s cheaper and yes it convenient but, there should be effort to find a middle ground.
Every time I use an ink cartridge from 123 Refills my printer still flashes «low ink» even when brand new. Worse is I get a message on my computer saying I am using counterfeit ink and thus it will void my HP warranty. Counterfeit ink? I never knew that was a thing until I bought from here. It also warns me that my ink cartridge is also used.
WTF
Just give me some cheaper version — not some fake used crap. For this reason and for the fact it doesn’t even last long– I think it could even be cheaper.
The workers are nice tho. Seem bored, but nice.

I wish there was a ZERO rating!!! I ordered edible ink and the cartridges I received from 123refills leaked all over the place and did not work. I contacted their customer service 3 times and was told I would be receiving return information. I have not heard back from anyone nor received return information! Do not buy from them!

Running low on ink I thought I would got by there today and give the place another shot. So I walked a half a mile there, just to find out that despite the business hours listed them as opening at 9:30am…no one was there yet at 10:30. Walked another half mile home in the heat and humidity, a bit frustrated. I went to this place 3 years ago a couple of times and bought a few cartridges. I had no problem with them. I went back a 3^rd time and bought another and it was either empty or the cartridge itself was faulty.
Back to ordering genuine Epson inks with free one day shipping from Amazon…

This place sold me a totally faulty ink cartridge. The ink smears all over the page (page looks dirty) and it has random ink blots on the pages. I demanded a refund or exchange, and they promised to exchange my cartridge. The only problem: I have not heard back from them since they promised that. They have not responded to my email. They are totally incommunicado. I think I was scammed.

Giving one star because I can’t give zero. Horrible service and horrible attitude. Sent me the wrong cartridge. Since I obviously had to open the package to see it, it is now not returnable according to their policy. I buy a lot of ink a year and might have been a good customer, but not after they have screwed me over.

Still the cheapest. I needed a new printer and he was very helpful in helping select the right one for my needs. Will the construction on Olive ever end?

Similar to others, this is my first bad (and overall) review – so please take into consideration that I joined expressly to steer others clear of this place.
Admittedly, my experience was not the horror of most, but it was disappointing nonetheless. I went in to refill ink cartridges and was told that it would be impossible due to the brand’s (Canon) manufacturing restrictions (something about how they couldn’t open and refill them… or something). Naturally, I was encouraged to buy brand-​new, more expensive cartridges – I simply had no choice (of course!).
A week later, I dropped by another store (Prismatix Ink), and lo and behold: they could do the impossible! They were ready, willing, and fully able to refill my ink cartridges! And, upon using them for weeks now, I can attest that they work perfectly. (Again, that’s PRISMATIX INK in Koreatown on Crenshaw Blvd./W. Olympic Blvd.)
Upon realizing 123 Refills’ mistake, I contacted them via E-​mail and received no response.
Much ado about nothing? Perhaps. But, if you care about the environment (i.e. creating less waste) and saving money, stuff like this adds up – and matters.

The send me the shipping very quick. Unfortunately, the printer does not recognized the chips that they made. So, I send them the email about all this. The 123 refills said, they won’t be able to issue a refund but they can towards the credit to another merchandise. If the product got defected why should I re-​purchase from you again? This is a ridiculous policy. Watch out they are crooks. Just wanted to get your money but did not wanted to issue you a refund .
All the cartridge is not comparable for your original printer. They said is re-​manufacturing authorization product. I don’t believe them. I’m going to report to Consumer Affairs in U.S.

The one guy on duty here had no idea what I was talking about when I asked him about a color cartridge for a Kodak printer. He just followed us around the store repeating brand names and looked relieved when we left. What a waste of time.

Crooks. Plain and simple.
This is the first bad review I have wrote on Unilocal for any business but I felt it must be written to warn others.
I ordered $ 200 worth of product but they sent me ¹⁄₅ of what I had ordered. When I called to ask for them to fix this they said they would send me my completed order right away and then never did so.
When I called again a week later and asked what the status was they said they didn’t know and could not help me plain and simple.
I was forced to charge back the purchase to my credit card company and file a complaint with the better business bureau.
Do not use this company at all costs.

I think this is the only DTLA cartridge refill place ?? $ 11 for black ink refill $ 20 for black & color
The dude running this place is NEVER not there he said its hard to get lunch cause he can’t just leave. The dude is completely cool & has business in his mind so cannot imagine him not running a tight ship.
I’ve never been here for other than refilling so can not Unilocal on other services
But the construction taking place a couple feet south that has blocked off the sidewalk for 2 more yrs DAMN YOU !!

I don’t know how this place stays in business. It must be a free rent deal from the building owner or something.
When they are open service is good however they are also often out of a pretty common cartridge.
The bigger problem is their odd hours of operation. Three times now I came by to buy product and there was nobody in the store. I even called 5 minutes prior this last time and poof they are gone.
Store looks open, sidewalk sign is out but nobody. What a waste of time. I even asked the print shop next door. They just commented that «the guy often takes off».
Hey «guy»: if you have a mean case of IBS, it’s excusable, but put out a sign and don’t say you will be there when you know you won’t.

I saw that a couple of people on here were please with 123 Refills so I gave them a try.
I ordered regular ink for my canon ink jet and they ended up sending me edible ink for making cakes by mistake. (Apparently someone was not paying attention in shipping.)
When I called to let them know about the error they were apologetic and shipped the correct ink to me right away.

I think it’s pretty convenient to have this ink refill place in DTLA. Service is okay, nothing extraordinary. It cost $ 23 bucks and 30 minutes for our color and black ink cartridges to be refilled.
