Specialties

BIXEL AT FIFTH is a community of 80 contemporary residences for lease, located in the Studio District of Downtown Los Angeles.

BIXEL AT FIFTH offers sleek, sophisticated apartments with dramatic skyline vistas and rental rates starting at $ 1500 per month.

History

Established in 2008.

QUOTE From Downtown News Article 06/30/2008:

«Gluckstein is a third-generation landlord whose family has operated apartments in Koreatown for decades. The family bought the land where the Bixel now sits in the mid-1980s and for years it was used as a parking lot. As more residents moved into the area, he made plans to build housing.

„We’ve always believed in the culture of apartments, and through down cycles and up cycles there has always been a demand for rental housing,“ Gluckstein said. „We believe that Bixel in particular has become a strong transitional street linking not only to the neighborhood west of the freeway but also to Downtown.“

With its modern look and mixture of units, Bixel at Fifth holds a unique place in City West, Gluckstein said. He noted that his project is more contemporary in design than the Italian-themed Medici.

„We wanted the building to speak culturally to the fabrics and colors of the city. It’s a very urban building,“ he said.»

Meet the Manager

Jesse W.

Manager

I have worked in property management Since 2001, where I was approached by my college apartment manager about a leasing position available at the time. I gladly accepted the job offer (how could I turn down walking to work?). As luck would have it, I had the best manager in that company to mentor me. Since then I have worked here in the Downtown Los Angeles area. I started working at Bixel at Fifth in May 2008 to begin preparing for the grand opening and have continued as the Business Manager since. In my opinion, I think Bixel at Fifth is a great place to live. And I’m not just saying that because I manage the place. LOL I love the residents who have moved into this building. They are the most down to earth bunch I’ve met in my history in property management. And I thank them for the smiles and friendliness that makes every day I work enjoyable. :o)

If you haven’t toured Bixel at Fifth I recommend you come take a look. Meet me, or meet a new friend in the building!
