Farmer’s Market has gone downhill — this fast-food Chinese is soggy and lacks flavor. Mediocre(at best) Orange Chicken and Lo Mein.

Terrible. Bland, poor cuts of meat, rice tasteless, noodles were half overcooked. All in all, it tasted like bad leftovers from the day before. I didn’t finish my plate and would give it no stars if I could.

Yo, all these bad reviews are wack. China Depot is the dankest Chinese fast food in the area and has gotten me through some of the worst hangovers the west coast has seen. Long live China Depot.

Food takes long to get ready. I asked for one of their specials and they said it would take 60 mins .We asked for a sample and they said no sample even tho it’s ready made food. Reek of greed. I don’t like it

I eat at China Depot a few times a week. The employees are very helpful. Today I had the Chinese Chicken Salad and it was good. I needed another serving of salad dressing and it was supplied promptly. One reviewer said the reason the restaurant was chosen is that it accepted credit cards. Most of the establishments accept credit cards accept the donut shop and the Oyster Bar. The person who wrote, today, 8÷21÷15 said the food was the worst he ever ate. Yet, the plate was about 80% empty. If it was so bad why wait until the food was almost consumed. Also, It is possible to get special prepared food, if you ask. If you are new to these restaurants and want to taste the food before ordering, ask for a small sample to fit a fork before ordering.

It did not look good, so I should have trusted my instinct. I really wanted Chinese and saw many people ordering. It was dry and bland. The food seems reheated and the flavor taste wrong. This place should not be here at farmers market on third??? This place is supposed to have good food. Sorry but this food is about ½ of star.

Absolutely disgusting food. Gave me explosive diarrhea 30 minutes after. I recommend you avoid this place like the plague. Overpriced too. Paid $ 14.10 for a bowl of subpar /tasteless wor wonton soup and a bottle of Arrowhead water that gave me bubble gut and mud butt. Not even worth one star. At least I got free validation so I could go shopping for some new shirts at Zara and Topman. If you see this restaurant, keep walking and make another selection as it is worse than Panda Express.

If it’s possible, I would rate this place a zero! Most terrible Chinese food I ever had. Even the Chinese food by my house is way better. The food looks and tastes nasty. How is this business still around? Don’t even bother spending your money here. The only reason we came here because they accepted debit/credit cards. Not a lot of these places accept cards. Make sure to bring cash, if you’re going to eat here at the farms market.

What a waste of my money, everything was oily sitting there for who knows how long and the owner was rude. I should’ve walked away and kept my money. I regret buying anything and I don’t think they deserved an A! At the end I helped a local business but I hope we all don’t get sick. I’m seriously thinking of throwing it away since it’s not even worth giving it to a homeless person.

The Chinese food may be better scraped off the floor of Home Depot. The boy serving was sweet though.

Terrible food and terrible service. It’s definitely not worth it for the price. Panda Express is better tasting and about the same price. All the food locations around it are better as well. The staff are rude. They’re seriously rushing for you to order something even when no one is in line. I think after 8pm or 8:30 you will be unable to order anything except for what’s already in the hot food line. You’re not paying for the food quality and service… so I’m not exactly sure what they’re charging for. Not recommended.

This was place was pretty average to me, nothing so special, but not terrible either. I ordered the pork noodle soup. The noodles weren’t clumped together and the meat wasn’t rubbery, like the other reviews had mentioned. There was actually seemed to be more meat than noodles, which was unusual. The service was also surprisingly friendly. Obviously, it’s not going to be the best place in the farmers market, but it will curb any cravings you have for noodles!

First miss at the grove/farmer’s market. The food was just bad: tasted old and the seasoning as off. Never again.

The food is healthy! I think the reviews below are by people who might be looking for super salty, super fried and saucy Chinese food. The food here isn’t super salty. You don’t need to suck on a garden hose for two days after you eat here. It’s super healthy, fresh Chinese food — made to order. I’ve been eating here for years and enjoy the food and staff thoroughly.

The food here is awful. I ordered a noodle soup with pork and it was almost impossible to eat. The noodles were clumped together and I couldn’t separate them. That meant I had to lift a giant clump of tightly packed noodles and bite. Not worth the effort and mess. The meat was okay but parts had hard chunks in them I had to remove from my mouth while eating. That was sort of nasty. My friend told me the broccoli and beef was whatever. He was totally grossed out by my soup and wouldn’t eat it even though he was still hungry. How is this place even in business?

Okay. Can I say that I will not be coming here again! Out of all the selections at the Farmer’s Market and I chose this place! Granted that China Depot is easy visible in the Farmer’s Market as compared to some of the other vendors and they have beautiful colored pictures of the food offered posted prominently around their shop. It is unfortunate the food does not taste as good as it appears to be in the pictures. I ordered the orange chicken plate with friend rice and broccoli. 1) The broccoli was bland and had no flavor. 2) The friend rice was also bland. And, 3) the orange chicken tasted like… like…like something else other than orange chicken. Like ghetto chicken. The meal costed me almost $ 10 which to me is expensive for Chinese food especially when it is only one serving. I could recommend other Chinese restaurants that are better within the vicinity. i will give them credit for fast service. But, service should be fast when your only serving prepared food on a plate.

Not very tasty so I wouldn’t spend another $ 9 for the food. I mean, how can you screw up noodles and orange chicken? They sure do a good job at mediocre food.

In all of my Farmer’s Market goin’ years I’ve never once eaten here before today, but this afternoon, under beautiful fluffy cloud filled skies and a cool breeze, the urge for a little cheapie Chinese struck me. After viewing the less than appealing options at Peking Kitchen, the other Chinese spot in the FM, this was definitely the lesser of two evils. As far as cheapie Chinese goes, it was a’ight. I’m pretty sure I’ve had better at Panda Express, but their generic kung pao chicken, steamed broccoli, bright red bbq pork, and unremarkable chow mein hit the spot. Mostly because the weather made it a perfect day for sitting outside listening to the seniors gripe over coffee about prices and who knows their fish better — the Chinese or the Jews, seriously hot, heated topic amongst the 80-something set today! — no complaints. I’d really like to generously round two stars up to three because, well, the guy was nice, they let me deviate from the combos stated on the menu, and their food didn’t look like gray slop that might leave me incapacitated later,(always a star worthy factor from me), but as my finger hovers over the button here… ahhhh… I’ve gotta save that crown for Panda.
