Creative Explorers Toddler and Preschool Program

Bringing my daughter to this daycare was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made for her. The teachers here have a genuine passion for caring for children. They also have decades of childcare experience. You’ll feel that your child is given not only a fun and educational environment, but also love, security, and family. The quality of care you’ll receive here is priceless!

Mary is an incredibly experienced early educator. We searched high and low to find a place we could trust with the care of our infant son. When we met Mary at Hill & Dale almost 3 years ago, we knew that we had found the right place. Under her directorship, our son loved going to «school», learned how to use his words, be respectful of others, eat with utensils before he was 2 years old. I could go on and on about the many positive things that have shaped our son’s mind and heart under her guidance. True passion for early education and a love of children is a rare combination that both Mary and Lisset share. Our son would still be under their care if Mary had decided to open shop in Santa Monica!

Both my children have had the good fortune to have had Mary De La Rosa as their school site director. She has such an amazing way with children and adults! I always felt as though my concerns were heard and addressed respectfully. She understands the developmental needs of the children and she knows how to guide them. We had a great experience with her at Hill and Dale and we are sad to no longer have her there. But… I am so excited for those families who will benefit from Mary’s direction at the Creative Explorers Toddler and Preschool Program. You will be very happy there.

I’ve known Mary and Lisset for a long time now and they are amazing at what they do! They really go above and beyond for the kids and make sure they’re getting the proper education! Very hands on learning experiences and tons of fun for the kids.

There is no question that Mary D is simply the best early educator you are ever going to have the pleasure of working with. She is the guiding voice for us. We know Mary when she was at Hill n Dale overseeing the care of our daughter from 3 months to 4 years old. Amazing! When we have a challenge we almost always find ourselves referring to the advice Mary gave us. We are lucky to have had her as a guiding light for our kids. You will not be disappointed.

I am a HUGE fan of Ms. Lisset and your child is/​will be lucky to have her as your teacher. I had the privilege of having Ms. Lisset as my youngest daughter, Gabi’s, teacher at her former preschool in Santa Monica. It broke our hearts when she had to move on because she was loved by EVERYONE for her incredible energy, genuine love of children, and unbelievable enthusiasm for teaching. She is well versed in age appropriate curriculum and always eager to give children the opportunities to «go outside the box» and learn through creativity and laughter! I was so happy to hear that Ms. Lisset found a new home (Creative Explorers) to share her passion and warmth. If my children weren’t in elementary school already, I’d put them in Creative Explorers in a heartbeat to experience preschool once again with Ms. Lisset! That’s how much she ROCKS!

Lisset and Mary are a great team and your children are definitely in great hands with them! Our own children had the privilege of having them as their teacher (Lisset) and director (Mary) in the past, and I wish they were of age to go back and attend this new school that they started. Both women know practically everything about early childhood development and there is no situation that they haven’t heard of that the two of them can’t help you fix. Whether it’s teething, sleep training, motor and fine motor skills, etc, they’ll be able to come up with advice and experience that will back up whatever they do to help you overcome your child’s obstacle. Mary and Lisset are truly a dynamic duo! They’re able to create this incredibly nurturing environment that puts you completely at ease about leaving your children with them. And they only have the highest standards when it comes to who they hire to take care of your child, what activities your child engages in, and only the healthy and organic that your child ingests day in and day out. Seriously, there’s not enough room in this review to truly express how incredibly AWESOME these two are when it comes to early childcare, and you should consider your whole family lucky if your child can be part of this school. They’ll come home nurtured, loved, happy, and independent, and at the end of the day, isn’t that what we want for the most precious things in our lives?
